  1. I rode Valravn this year, along with Cobra's Curse at BGT and Delirium at KD. In 2015 I rode Tempesto and Fury 325. Before that I can't think of any other major rides I've ridden when they've debut with the exception of a lot of rides at Hershey (home park).
  2. I'll have a season pass for Hershey next year, and I'll also be going to BGT again this summer. I'm also working on planning a week long road trip that involves hitting Cedar Point, Kings Island, and Dollywood, but might have to compromise one of the parks to save money. I just went to CP this past summer, but with RMC'd Mean Streak potentially coming in 2017, I feel like I can't pass up going again.
  3. Hersheypark: 1. SkyRush 2. Lightning Racer 3. Storm Runner 4. Great Bear 5. Laff Trakk (only experience on this ride was completely in the dark) 6. Comet 7. Fahrenheit 8. SooperDooperLooper 9. Wildcat 10. Trailblazer 11. Wild Mouse 12. Sidewinder Now that my head isn't bashing into the old Intamin OTSR's anymore, I realized how forceless Fahrenheit really is minus the first drop and the very last airtime hill. I was very underwhelmed after riding it this fall for the first time in 2 years.
  4. The level of investment that once went into this park still completely baffles me. I'm not sure if Premier Parks was loaded when they acquired SF, but 6 new and non re-located roller coasters in a 4 year period from '98-'01 seems insane to me. Has any other park in the US even seen a coaster investment on that kind of scale before? They must of saw some huge potential for Adventure World to be marketed into a gigantic park, and with the closest major amusement parks being KD and HP I could understand how, if that were the case. Does anyone here know what halted this park from further growth? Was it SF's bankruptcy or did this park ultimately not perform to the level they expected it to by being re-branded as a SF park? I haven't been to the park in years, but the 6-7 year old me remembers it being pretty busy and popular when my parents would take me during the first couple of seasons after it re-opened as SFA. I know this park is regarded as one of the worst in the chain but it definitely has an interesting history IMO.
  5. Poor RMCstreak was being blasted for her pre-lift section when it hasn't even been built yet and now everyone's going mathematically crazy trying to figure out all her angles and how tall she is. She can't grow up from the awkward young girl she was into the beautiful woman she was always meant to be without picking her intentions to shreds every step of the way, huh? Some of you need to chill out or do something to divert your attention. It's an RMC, we know it's coming, everything is going to be okay, I promise. Following the construction of a ride should not consist of insane, crazy speculation or 3 paragraphs of completely biased criticism, especially when construction crews have barely touched the thing, lol!
  6. TPR is an awesome site, but there's way too many people on here who attempt to sound logical based on their own wishful thinking. Why can't we be realists and just talk about the facts, rather than constantly spew out "well maybe it could work out like this or that because of this or that and this park did it this way so CP has to!!". It's almost mid-October and there hasn't even been anything close to a teaser dropped on what is being done to the ride. Are we forgetting Cedar Fair just dropped 20-25 million on Valravn? If we include the waterpark expansion, a 50/60 million dollar investment in one park over the span of 2 seasons is definitely something you won't see Cedar Fair doing, so let's stop kidding ourselves now.
  7. This should've stopped you in your tracks, that isn't remotely close to something you should consider a legitimate source.
  8. Regardless of all the disappointment and enthusiast entitlement currently happening in this thread, KD still has one of the best coaster lineups in the chain and undoubtedly the most intense giga in the chain (imo), so I can be patient and wait for a new coaster while I marathon backseat rides on I305 next summer.
  9. Raptor at CP last week, and honestly it's probably my least favorite B&M invert that I've ridden, but I did have a headache when we hopped on as we were leaving, so that might've contributed to my distaste.
  10. The only thing that doesn't make sense at this point are the Hurler-related teasers, but yeah, this makes the last 15 pages of this thread look like a total joke and waste of time, haha.
  11. Nope, I actually asked if i would be able to get through the park in one day with it, not if its necessary or not. Thanks for the completely unhelpful reply!
  12. I'm thinking about taking a spontaneous road trip and visit CP for the first time this Friday. I've read numerous reviews of FastLanePlus, good and bad, and I am wondering if I will be getting my money's worth for dropping 105 dollars along with the ticket? Will I be able to get through at least most of the park in a day's time on a Friday if I purchase it? If you guys have any other tips about CP in early August I'd appreciate it as well, trying to make the best of my visit! Thanks!
