  1. Who says he bought it at IAAPA? Unless they specifically stated that, odds are good the purchase was made far before then. Uh...nobody?
  2. Don't get me wrong: The Skywarp is exactly the type of gamble on a ride I'd expect a guy like Ed Hart to make, so much so that I'm surprised he went with the safe bet Loop vs. the Warp....but this guy acting like it's a sure fire thing is really kind of cracking me up. Who IS this turd?
  3. There were some newness and growing pains, but overall it's heads and shoulders above Six Flags and getting better.
  4. It's not what I would've preferred (Super Loop), but it's really hard to be upset. This park is heading in a fantastic direction and I'm really excited for all of the new changes coming next year and beyond!
  5. They're fine additions for an "off year", as it was described. I just would've preferred a Zacspin to a Super Loop. Nothing wrong with the loop though. Hopefully it does well. It's still exciting that they're investing so heavily in the park. There's not been a year since it's reopened that they've not added something new and cool.
  6. There's still rumors of yet ANOTHER new coaster coming in either '18 or '19. Ed Hart's personally mentioned talking with RMC about one when Storm Chaser opened, and he's mentioned in the past wanting a B&M...so I suspect something using the T-Rex track could still be on the horizon.
  7. That's probably what's going where the dragsters were, and that's kinda disappointing.
  8. I don't understand the hype behind them. They're a looping figure 8. Very repetitive. Very....meh.
  9. So.....Intamin unveiled a new Zac Spin coaster design. A guy can dream, ya?
  10. That still doesn't make any difference. The point is there ample room to expand. A ride doesn't have to be tall to be epic. No, not necessarily. You're right. That being said, the two still aren't similar because of that major difference. Sure both are landlocked, but Kentucky Kingdom still has restraints to what they can and cannot do that Grona Lund doesn't have to contend with. That was my point.
  11. Grona Lund doesn't have the height restrictions that Kentucky Kingdom has to deal with, though.
  12. Screamscape is saying a new coaster for 2018, and Hart himself has mentioned having spoken with RMC about a new coaster...so, there's that. Given his desire to have another B&M, perhaps a "B&M like" T-Rex track based coaster is in the works?
  13. The trains have been there as far as I'm aware. The area there is where the dragsters use to be. I noticed the "Fun under construction" signs last time I was there too, but honestly didn't think much of it at the time. I could see a disco coaster going there, though. It would make a lot of sense.
  14. An amusing and respectable response. I can dig that.
  15. Is there going to be a live feed or something we can watch??
  16. How tall of a coaster are you imagining when I say there's a potential for a T-Rex tracked coaster??
  17. I've never ridden a GCI, so I'm really excited. They at least LOOK interesting...
  18. RIGHT!? It would largely be able to circumvent height restrictions too because it'd be a launch coaster....hey, a guy can dream!
  19. I can't wait! I'm really excited over this, whatever it turns out to be!
  20. What I'd REALLY love to see happen, and I doubt it ever will, is an indoor Premier Launch coaster ala Flight of Fear named Star Chaser...
  21. No need to be a dick just because you disagree... ANYHOW, I like your prediction. Only thing I'm altering for mine is I think it's going to be a GCI instead of an RMC. Otherwise, I think you're spot on. I think the goal is to have the most wooden track in a park with this new piece.
