Next week, I am taking the family to Disneyland for the first time. I am so excited I can't stand it. We've done a week at WDW for the past 11 years, but this is the first time on our cross country voyage. A few questions... 1. Are there any Don't miss restaurants in the Anaheim area? We are mainly into cheap, fun, tasty type places.... 2. Any tips on having the best days possible at DL and CA? Thanks!!

New Orleans and Nashville are two cities that are growing steadily and both have positive future growth potential. Neither has a park. Both had successful parks. I'd love to see parks open in both, even if they were midsize.

So I'm a little slow...... What new rides (2, correct) are going in Star Wars Land at Hollywood Studios? The ride where they talk about being in the middle of the fight scene.....PLEASE tell me that's an old school dark ride, like Pirates. I really hope it's not a simulator, even like the larger ones at Universal. Then at the controls of the Millenium Falcon: Again, not a simulator hopefully, but I think it will be. To me, they are fun once or twice, even the best ones like Spiderman, but they just aren't that rerideable. Again, that's me. I'd take Small World, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Great Movie ride, Spaceship Earth all day over those. They just feel more Disney, while sims feel for Universal to me. It seemed at Disneyland, MF was just going to be a reimagining of Space Mountain.

I am new to this board, and was just curious if there are other train enthusiasts like myself out there..... My top 5 theme park trains, and why: 1. Dollywood. Just can't beat the feel of an original steam locomotive. I can easily pass an hour eating a grilled fajita plate and just staring, in awe, at the engine. Can't find anyone who appreciates just observing it in detail like me 2. Knoebels. Pioneer train. Just feels like I'm on one of the many toy trains I grew up loving. Riding under Twister is just so cool. 3. Kennywood. Olde Kennywood. The super tight tunnel is so awesome. And the beautiful setting by the river. Love that train ride. 4. Lake Winnie. Not sure why I love this ride, I just do. I think it's the slight out of control downhill feeling through the woods as it first takes off. The track rolls behind the worm and antique cars, and it just barely gets that out of control feel. Finishes with a great lake ride. I just love this train. 5. Magic Kingdom. It's not so much that I love this train, but hands down my favorite theme park And I do LOVE the front station, and I can feel Walt's love for trains with the pictures and plaques. Plus the roll through Splash Mountain is just so cool. Then the station by Thunder Mountain is completely epic. To bad the toon station is so plain jane. My theme park train credit is at 38......trying to get to 50.

Kind of a newbie here, so forgive any stupid comments. It just blows my mind to see this truck and transport system. I guess I've never thought of what it actually takes to construct a coaster, especially just getting the track from the warehouse to the park. In this case, I would guess that piece is about 50 feet long. With a track size of 4700 feet, at 50 feet a piece, that's 94 pieces of JUST TRACK. So am I crazy, or will they have to have 93 MORE trucks, just like this one, rolling down I-75 from Ohio to Orlando????? That seems amazing, just to get the track there. Then all of the supports, and machinery? What a MASSIVE undertaking just to get it on site. My mind then thought of the storing, organizing, and moving (certainly by crane) of each piece from the parking lot (or wherever) to the park. I'll enjoy the heck out of it once it's comlete, and sure am glad I'm not the project manager in charge of everything required from the beginnings of a warehouse in Ohio, to final product in Orlando.
