Will the park be busy today?

Route 76 definitely fixed an obvious problem. That side of the park had literally nothing except Steel Venom and useless go carts.

If we got a delirium clone next year Valleyfair would be set for life. Just kidding, a lot more would need to be done, but it would be such a great ride for our park.

I am so glad to hear that an announcement is coming. No, it probably won't be a coaster or anything in that category, but it brings alot of things to speculate about. Flyers? Did the permit get approved? A new flat in the amphitheater spot? Waterpark expansion? The list goes on and on. But the thing that matters is we ARE GETTING SOMETHING. And to me, that's definitely something to look forward to.

Was at the park today, overall, it was a great day, but one thing caught me off gaurd. I was on seat number 1 of the blue power tower. When I pulled down the harness, it popped back up about 4 to 5 inches! I could almost slide my whole body under the harness. I told the the dude checking the harnesses and he just brushed it off. To be honest, I did not feel safe at all. I am a 6 foot 2 inch man, and it was very loose, and I should not have been able to slide my body under the harness. Imagine a younger person that is a lot smaller, they could have easily slid out if they tried. Has anyone else experienced something similar to this? I don't feel like riding power tower ever again, it just didn't feel safe.

Zippers are probably the most fun you'll ever have on a ride. They are just pure fun.

^The limited space is probably why they chose the structure we got. So they built the slide complex taller instead of wider. I'm happy with the complex we got because it's one of the world's tallest, and it's unique to the complex every other park is getting.

On a different topic, it doesn't say Excalibur will be closed for Haunt on Valleyfair's website this year. Any thoughts?

Does the new haunt building look anything like VF's new haunt building? Or is it just a standard, theme less building? Valleyfair's new Haunt building

The 2016 announcement had been postponed due to yesterday's accident.

Carowinds, CGA, and Valleyfair were all stated by CF to receive significant expansion. Carowinds has obviously already received theirs, and if the permit to get the Army Corps of Engineers into Valleyfair to fill wetlands, redo roads, build levees, etc. is verified, Valleyfair should be receiving significant expansion in the next few years. I have hope for the smaller parks. Maybe, just maybe one day, all parks will be treated equally.

Is Valleyfair the ONLY Cedar Fair park that's having it later in the year? If so, I think we probably could see an announcement around that time. Let's hope we do! Let's keep the expansions coming so we can finally get our coaster!

I highly doubt WoF brings in more attendance than Valleyfair. VF's attendance has been rising steadily year after year. We have been getting pretty solid additions every year too. (Route 76, Waterpark Expansion, etc.)

I'm pretty positive WoF is not 2 to 3 times larger than Valleyfair, if that is what you're saying.

Or maybe CF could stop trying to put every B&M model at CP and invest a little in it's smaller parks. Maybe give Valleyfair their FIRST B&M?

^Agreed. If this indeed turns out to be a 15 million dollar coaster, it seems a little lackluster for a park like CP. This would fit perfectly at Valleyfair. I can totally see VF getting a 15 million dollar coaster.

Definitely real. Looks professionally done, and I doubt someone could make a logo look that good without it being professionally done.

^^^Agreed. I think people aren't believing this because of the layout. Maybe it's not as good at people expected, so they just are pretending not to believe it. Who knows, maybe I'm wrong, but this looks real to me. Dive coasters are great rides and this coaster is going to be great no matter what, and the GP will eat it up. I think it's the same as what happened with Gatekeeper, no, it may not be a Maverick, but the GP still ate it up, and brought in more people. Maybe they're going for the same thing next year. Well we will know soon enough.

I'd also love for Cedar Fair to start putting in Air Races in their parks. They seem like a lot of fun. Another flat that I enjoyed at the State Fair last year was The Zipper. That was the most fun I've ever had at the fair.
