  1. Mean Streak actually ran very well last weekend, but I agree that it's probably only a matter of time. Problem is, as much as they've spent re-tracking it the last 2 or 3 years, giving it a 10 million RMC treatment would add up to being the cost of a new ride.
  2. No, it did not have to be done. Whether you agree or not it's a new coaster and a great improvement to the park that many other Six Flags park's would love to have over their additions the past 3 years. And many Six Flags could really use a quality dark ride, so SFoT is really ahead of the game. Except for the horrible operations in recent years. I personally enjoyed the old Texas Giant, but I know for the sake of it's future and not having to hear people complain that it was gonna have to get that RMC treatment. Yes, we could use a good dark ride, which we'll be getting. I guess I'm just biased as I'm there for good flat rides and roller coasters. That's one thing our park also lacks is some good flat rides. The operations though...oy...I'm afraid I agree, I constantly get annoyed with the bad jokes and the over 3 minutes between train dispatches.
  3. It's interesting, on my Saturday visit it started raining about 1030 pm. I thought that might be the end of our trip (we were in line for Millennium) but they kept it going! and it wasn't just a light rain, it poured for about 15 minutes, but we all stayed in line, nobody left. They shut it down for that 15 minutes, but as soon as it became a light rain, they sent one test train and then let people start to ride. It was the only ride in the park going.
  4. Oh yes absolutely, I wasn't disappointed that those rides were closed. I get how it goes, I wasn't being greedy as Dragster stayed open without going down the whole night lol. I got what I called a taste on Friday and then everything was ready to go on Saturday. Raptor was the first thing I rode when I got there, really great time this place is!
  5. Parks don't make decisions based on how rides perform in the Mitch Hawker poll... they make decisions based on what coasters are most popular with their guests and what they think will give them the best return on their investment. Wingriders seem to be very popular with the majority of guests. Even then, I don't think Six Flags will be buying a B&M in the near future. But, I have no clue. I was praying for a Wing Coaster at the announcement, we are really over due for a new thrill, while I get the New Texas Giant, that had to be done, we haven't had a true major roller coaster since 2001...
  6. I did to until I went lol doesn't matter, I had a great time and got on everything Saturday when everything actually was open.
  7. Excuse me then, what the heck would I know? I was only at the park last Friday right at opening and Raptor was CLOSED all night. Dragster, Millennium, Gatekeeper, Maverick, Magnum we're the only coasters open. I would know because I had never been to Cedar Point before and walked all over the place to be familiar with it for my Saturday trip. By hey...everyone believes the list on the internet, not the eyes that were physically there right? I guess I got screwed then, because a lot of that stuff was indeed closed the whole night.
  8. Haha, looks like everyone this weekend will be riding the "Mantigoru" he he he. Glad I got to see it this past weekend in it's original form.
  9. Hello! I went this past weekend for the first time ever and had a blast! According to locals, Friday's are usually very dead, and it was for us. We got on Millennium Force twice in 45 min. We also got on Dragster in about 20 minutes. Wicked Twister, Mean Streak, Blue Streak, Gemini, Raptor and Mantis will be closed likely Friday. Saturday everything will be open, but you will need a flash pass. We had a flash pass and got to enjoy the whole day. Sunday should be back to more of the dead that it was on Friday. Hope this helps! As far as the early entry, you'll literally wait pretty much no time at all Friday for early entry on Gatekeeper, or Millennium. It took them a few hours to get Dragster going Friday and Saturday, but as soon as everyone saw a train in the sky...EVERYBODY flocked for it, so just keep looking up for it
  10. Cool thank you for that info, I'm flying from Texas in the morning and going when they open in the evening, and then all day Saturday which is when I'll have my flash pass. How about loose articles? No spaces on station platforms like at Six Flags parks?
  11. Hey everyone! I used to post here all the time under a different s/n but forgot everything about it...including the s/n lol. I'm making my first trip ever to Cedar Point this weekend, can anyone tell me how their Fast Lane Plus works? Is there a separate line that can eventually let me stand in line for the front seat? Also, loose articles, I typically carry a backpack to carry phones, sunglasses, etc. on rides, do they have a place on the platforms to store these? Or do I HAVE to get a locker? Thanks!
