I've heard Millennium Forceless (which I somewhat disagree with but still funny).
-
I know that they are headbangers, but being an Eraser means to remove, so that would mean an SLC with no headbanging.
-
I don't think "Headbanger Eraser" is that suitable. Wouldn't that mean it has no headbanging?

So on another coaster site, I saw a forum involving funny/horrible names to poke fun at rides. So I thought I'd make a forum like that on here. Here's a few that I thought of/heard before. Cedar Creek Mine Ride - Creaky old mine ride Corkscrew - headscrew, it screws with your head! Incredible Hulk Coaster - Incredible Headache Causer Dragon Challenge - Draggin challenge Top Thrill Dragster - Top Thrill Lagster (when it rolls back) El Condor - Hell Condor Gouderix - Badtrix Cyclone - cyCLONE (because it's been replicated many times) Also I even came up with a few names for companies Arrow Diednamics and Gionebola (their lift hills make your ears feel like they're going to bleed).

Yeah exactly.

He didn't take it from me. He just told me to put it in my pocket. I was mad mainly because he pretty much turned it into a loose article. And yes it was stupid of me and I'm not sure why I felt like I should do that. But like I said, I don't think I'll be doing that again. it was a while back and I kinda laugh at it now.

Personally, I don't see why they should make a huge deal out of it, but yet they do. Back in August of 2014 I tried to bring my Kodak on the IHC and they saw it up my sleeve and stopped the ride. What pissed me off was that the attendant made me take off the tether that kept the camera on my wrist and made me put it in my pocket. And I could not keep the tether on. I don't know why, but let's just say that my camera no longer works properly because it kept banging everywhere and I'm too afraid to do that again. I recommend showing them it's secure to your body first. If so, I really don't see why it should be such a problem but they can be weird about that as explained from my experience. I'm wondering about video glasses. They just look like a pair of sunglasses which they almost always let you wear on rides as long as you have a back strap for them. Try that. I wonder also if copyright plays a role.

Blindfolded on a roller coaster!
TheHalonSystem replied to TheHalonSystem's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Ahhhh good idea! The problem is that neither her or I have a pair of sunglasses that can attach a strap but I can see if her regular glasses can, and they're transitions meaning they darken in the sun. What's funny though is I told her that I'm going to get pivothead sunglasses and she keeps telling me they'll make me take them off but I always see people with glasses/sunglasses on rides and they NEVER FREAKING CARE!!!! I'd just go to Walmart and find a cheapo pair of big sunglasses. Bonus points if they work with a strap. Then superglue felt on the inside. It also wouldn't look nearly as weird walking through the park with a blindfold on. And personally, I think you're better off keeping the dark glasses on until the train pauses at the drop, then removing them. But that's just me. Well, I think they should be able to have a strap, otherwise I won't use them. This is based off a past experience. Now what I could do is glue the blindfold inside the sunglasses if that's possible. That way, there will be a strap with it. Oh and are you talking about when it hangs you to drop you? Because I was just thinking about that, having her remove the blindfold when we're left hangin'! -

Blindfolded on a roller coaster!

Good question. I know that they usually allow glasses as long as they have a head strap. So I personally don't see the difference here, especially because it's really just felt. But some parks are weird about that. -
Blindfolded on a roller coaster!
TheHalonSystem replied to TheHalonSystem's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I doubt they'll allow it simply because you'll need to blindfold her before you get to the ride. Same with while in line for the ride not to mention boarding. sounds mildly dangerous at best. Well I will guide her into the ride and through the line. Just like we do with my blind grandmother. But if anything, she can take it off right before boarding and once we're seated, she can put the blindfold back on. -

Nevermind, the other copy was erased. Thanks whoever did that -

Hey is there a way I can erase this copy? My phone keeps multi posting things without even telling me. I don't want to get kicked off. -
So awhile back I set up a bet with my mom that if I can beat her in a game of Words With Friends, when we go to Busch Gardens she has to ride the Sheikra wearing a blindfold. I've never shown her any POV's, off ride footage, or photos of the ride. And when we're there, she's not allowed to look at the ride until she's done riding it, then she can remove her blindfold. Would this really make the ride any more scary? She's afraid of heights and big drops and she has no idea what the ride does because I refuse to tell her. And would they even allow this? The blindfold does have a strap like what goes on glasses and is just polyester and cloth, nothing hard.

Let me just say that I am HORRIBLE with greyouts. The list of coasters I've greyed out on is probably longer than the list of ones I haven't. Now, it was mainly when I was little and I haven't really greyed out on rides like I used to. Needless to say that some of my worst greyout experiences are on Millennium Force, Mantis (standing up really didn't help but hopefully the floorless conversion will help), Dragon Challenge the first time especially on the red side (it was dueling dragons at the time) and the first time I rode Incredible Hulk. I don't really think it's that dangerous but it's probably not healthy. I think it could be constant standing throughout the day may be my problem, so I've tried to put my head down frequently when in line, like on the railing. I have trouble standing still as well because I will get dizzy and will see spots in my vision so I will walk around in circles.

Here's my problem there. My brother is the one going with me and he is also visually impaired. Now, we could meet up with someone that is not like his adoptive father, my father, or his girlfriend. I do also have a pretty good relationship with him too so I probably should just try to explain, because I don't want him to make the same mistake as me, which is actually my main concern. Idk why though some lower so slowly to the point where I can't feel it, maybe that's just me. As for being "hyper aware" I'm more like "giga aware" (hahahahahaha coaster pun) on those things. And I actually just got a new pair of glasses that can have a strap attached and also don't slide off as easily.
-
Guys, I also thought of another idea of something I should do. I should also watch a video of the ride and when it stops before lowering to the ground, I can count to see how long it takes to get on the ground. And I'll do the same again when seeing the ride in person. So that way when I'm on the ride, when it stops in the air before lowering, I if I can't see how high up I am, I'll know how long it will be before it is safe to get out. And FYI, I will probably add about 10-20 seconds to the time I recorded from it stopping to being on the ground, just to be safe. Now if it breaks down in that position, well then that's a problem, haha.

Worst Coaster Ever?
TheHalonSystem replied to Mind Eraser's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
When did you ride it? Because it had a refurb in 2012 and it's actually quite enjoyable now. Here are what my cons are for Mean Streak. 1. The retracking barely help at all. 2. It feels slow, and that is due to the large elements. 3. Absolutely no airtime at all. If I had to make a top 16 coasters at Cedar Point, Mean Streak would go in #13 Weird, maybe when I rode it in 2013 they had the trims off. I hear lots of people complain about this ride but I never have found this coaster rough. I personally think Corkscrew is worse.
