Deadline Hollywood had this article. I was hoping we would get some further clues on exactly where Harry Potter is going but no actual labels. Some interesting things to point out is an expanded tram attraction where the Mummy tunnel is now. Also, it shows new Pink "Entertainment" buildings instead of existing buildings where the Universal Amp and Waterworld is now. That is pretty much where everyone is predicting where WWOHP is going anyways. Also, there are new pink entertainment markins outside the gate where Saddle Ranch and the outside parking lot (handicap?) is now. Perhaps the Park gates will be changing or just expanding the City Walk? Good news is their dumping the whole residential idea...

Went and rode LL:DOD tonight. The ride broke down right when we got to it. The riders were raised about 10 feet and then stopped. They brought them back down and had to cycle empty twice before letting people back on. Took about 15 mins. I choose the Single Ride line and waited about 25 mins. The regular line was just inside the queue house and the sign said 1 hour. The ride is amazing, you really don't realize how high it is until you're up there. I sat on the outside seat and felt like I was just out in the open especially with the restaints being so freeing. You can literally lean forward out of them and look straight down, it's crazy. The drop seems to go on forever. Halfway down I realized we're still going and then decided to scream. Overall a GREAT addition to the park. It seems mostly everyone coming out the ride had smiles ear to ear, high fiving and saying they can't wait to ride again. Last note, as I was waiting in the single rider line, I counted about 15 people who chickened out at the last minute before riding.

Not sure I quite understand what you're saying, or how it changes what I said. The park claims the tower is 415 feet tall. Based on that stat alone, the riders on Lex Luther will not reach a height of 400 feet in the air. I believe what he means is that all drop towers claim their full height regardless if the cart goes to the very top. Also, most towers don't actually free fall from the very top to the very bottom. Most of them only drop 3/4 of the way and either slow to a stop or bounce back up. Which is a shame considering they very easily could have broken the record, if all they had done is brought the ride to the top of the tower like they said they would. Right now, the ride falls for 3.64 seconds before slowing, and if it fell for 3.86 seconds instead (a mere 1/5 of a second longer), it would have hit 85 mph. (22mph^2 is the acceleration of gravity every second, divided by 80mph is 3.64 seconds, divided by 85mph is 3.86 seconds). Giant Drop, the fastest drop ride in the world, hits 84mph and falls for 3.82 seconds. Well, the website now says drop up to 85mph. So, I guess they will still hold the record.

These are the new dates and times for the Season Passholder ERT. They have registration open to people who were already registered and then they'll open it up to everybody else... Monday, July 9 – 9:30-10:30am Tuesday, July 10 – 9:30-10:30am Wednesday, July 11 – 9:30-10:30am Thursday, July 12 – 9:30-10:30am Friday, July 13 – 9:30-10:30am I noticed on the video they have on Facebook that they removed the World's Fastest, perhaps after testing they realized they're not going to beat the record.

Again, Summer started last week, hardly the middle. Second, you're comparing a seasonal park and a year around park. SFMM has to worry about keeping as many rides and midways open all while buiding a ride. If they weren't open year around, they probably could have brought a huge crane in, parked it on the midway and got the stairs moved and the ride up in a much shorter time. CF has the whole park to use because they're not open to the public. Apples to Oranges...

Forgive me if I'm mistaken, but I believe Cars Land was suppose to open months before June 15th but they were late too (I believe their original target was beginning of 2012). But no one complains about that because it's Disney and they can do no wrong meanwhile maybe they should have taken their time and postponed too because Luigi's technology doesn't even work and Radiator Springs Racers breaks down several times a day. Go Figure! I also don't know where some people are getting this postponed 4 times already? The obvious original target date was "Spring 2012" but that got delayed due to the unforseen circumstance of them having to move the whole tower's worth of stair cases over several inches. I believe they only announced one opening date of June 30th which they announced on June 1st but with testing just beginning past weekend, that obviously wasn't going to happen. Also, people keep complaining that it's SO late. All advertisements stated "Spring 2012." Did everyone forget that Spring JUST ended on June 20th, SEVEN DAYS AGO. People, they're opening the ride two weeks late, chill out!!!

Yeah, we got there around 2pm and walked by and it was open. We did a lap around the park and came back and got a whip. The strawberry flavor is not on the menu but he asked if we wanted pineapple, mango or strawberry. They give you a good amount for the price. As for the DOD track, you can hardly tell its there. They did a really good job at not making it so bulky, its really blends in with the tower.
