  1. I can't imagine that it'd take that long to assemble the ride, to be honest. And I assume that they'll just funnel people through some makeshift pathway for a while as they renovate. They couldn't close that pathway altogether as it's kind of critical to getting around the mountain. I imagine too they can't totally block it. They will block one side of the rides at a time. I would say they could reasphalt or paint the floor in a day or two as painting isn't much work. Where exactly is the ride going? I thought someone shared an email from Bonnie but I can't find it. Was it removed?
  2. No problem! The food is typicallly$10 an entree and up to $14 for the specialty items like Tri tip sandwich/Turkey leg. The drinks are roughly $5 each, or you have the option of getting a sports bottle. The sports bottle ranges from $17.50 (for one that is good for the day only with 99cent or $5.99 refills on your next visit) Last year they didn't release the following seasons until way into Novemberto $32 for an all season drink bottle. If you buy the dining pass it mentions that you get the 2018 season bottle which I presume based on last year you can pick up today in the park and prevent having to buy two cups. If you get the premium dining pass you can go to all the parks your heart desires. The premium also comes with Lunch & Dinner and a snack. Speaking of snacks they have funnel cake included (normally $8) or shakes as your most expensive items you could get. The basic only comes with Lunch & snack. The cups are chain wide. (I worked for Coke) Most of the rides you can get away with leaving the cup on the side except X2 which is $2 for a locker last I rode it.
  3. Looks like announcement is in a little bit over 12 hrs https://www.sixflags.com/national/new-for-2018?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI6qX5_Pb_1QIVC2p-Ch3uxwa1EAAYASAAEgIQ4vD_BwE. More interesting to me is that the flash sale is before https://www.sixflags.com/national/coming-soon?&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI6qX5_Pb_1QIVC2p-Ch3uxwa1EAAYASABEgIsaPD_BwE. Maybe we will get a leak?
  4. My bet is $79.99 with a measly $5 off to renew. Source: Their Google ad This is a google ad showing the flash sale.
  5. I know it's Six Flags and all, but it's really pathetic that this wasn't open by Memorial Day. They've had since the announcement in September to work on it and it's not like they have weather delays in LA. Plus it's not a prototype either, so it just baffles me that it's taken so long to build. Crazy to think that Twisted Colossus opened on time but a JL clone is so behind schedule. I was thinking the same thing. When I went the whole area was discussing and looked like atleast July.
  6. So its pretty clear Justice League won't be ready for Memorial Day weekend right? I wonder if they will do a gold pass preview like they did for Twisted Colossus. It was fun I got to ride the ride with minimal lines all day.
  7. Anyone see the new map? I find it interesting there is no season dinning menu logo next to the Twisted Witches (sandwich shop) It was previously on the dinning pass. METRO PARKTM Pub appears to be the name of the beer garden. It too is not offered on the dinning pass. Also the gas station by Riddlers Revenge is on the map. I thought they destroyed it? Also it appears Epic Rides (gift shop exiting Apocalypse) appears to be staying. I was there before apocalypse retrace and they had the gift shop closed.
  8. But no apparently they are creating a new VR experience. I agree this would be better on viper. Although this ride isn't that special its a single loop smaller then most others in the park. A great first ride for kids but nothing more. Maybe this VR is needed to keep a line at Revolution at all.
  9. In line at tv and full throttle broke down how long do u think their momentary delay is ?
  10. Anyone know if it opened? Going tomorrow what kind of crowds should I expect?
  11. Twisted Colossus is usually not more then a 40 min line on a non peak day. They really keep it moving. Reserve something else while you are "virtually in line" go to TC. I would go to superman first for the first 15 min of the park you can usually stay on if you run to it. Go to X2 at 2pm and its roughly a 1/2 hr line.
  12. Went this weekend. Got in line at 3:20 at the wings spot and it was 4:40 before I got to eat. There was maybe 20 people in front and very slow operations. They were still selling Blue season cups despite having inventory of the new cups for 2017. The mazes were ok. I went twice last year so I knew all the hiding spots so it was really weak. They should add new hiding spaces and change up the mazes. Garden of Darkness only had 5 scare actors.
  13. obviously, and I get water cups, it's just one of those things where it's like.. just add a few more dollars to the dining pass price if needed and include a drink. make it a true "meal". I don't know and it's no biggie, I don't want to whine too much about it. haha and I love that about the Premature Heart Disease pass description. that cracked me up. Perhaps they're counting on customers buying drinks at full price to counteract the dining pass discount. Nah they include a souvineer bottle with the dinning plan. Although I have a bad habit of loosing it.
  14. With the Premium Dining pass how do you get your souvenier bottle for the free drinks?
  15. I usually go the second or third Sunday and it's super quiet either way. I've been the past 3 years or so and every ride is a walk-on. Even Tatsu is only a station wait. So you won't go wrong with Sunday's at Fright Fest. Wow, is it really that dead on Sundays during Fright Fest? I'm considering heading down there the second weekend of the event (9/24-9/25) and was trying to decide if I want to make it in time to get into the park Saturday evening but it sounds like Sunday would be dead enough that I wouldn't need to. How busy are the first couple Saturday nights of Fright Fest? I'm really only concerned about the coasters, I don't typically do any haunted houses or mazes. It gets bussier the later in the season. Friday durning the day is the best before 4pm when school crowds come. Sunday is the next best day for less lines at night. Friday is manageable until 4 pm when people start comming on the first weekend.
  16. Tidal wave is open. I presumed they didn't fix it cause they were taking it out. Guess not.
  17. Hi there Bogie, ... Make sure you start your day with The New Revolution with VR, because a short line took my friend and I when we went 75 minutes! You can always ride in the front using single rider without VR later (The headsets don't calibrate in the front, so it will almost always be a walk on with single rider). If Superman: Escape from Krypton is open, ride the Helpful Honda Express (the tram ride located right near the carousel) up the hill and ride it, it is known to break down a lot. After that, then go do Twisted Colossus. After Twisted Colossus, enjoy the park. Everyone runs to X2 when the park opens, just wait until 2 o'clock and it is almost always a walk on. If you need any more help comment below and I'll be happy to help. Hope you have a great day! -Mr. Corn I will be there next week as well. So, riding New Revolution before TC is the way to go now eh? I'll be buying Platinum Flash passes - if I get there at opening I would assume it's still a good idea to hit up rides in the order above prior to picking up my Flash Passes? I went yesterday and because of the weather the park was oddly slow. 20 min waits. Always wait until the day of to get a fast pass.
  18. From the newsletteR: THE FLASH Pass Gold just got better with the addition of Twisted Colossus and Full Throttle! Looks like a much better deal given that Full Throttle has the longest and slowest moving lines and TC is just awesome! surprised there is still no x2 (w/o surcharge) I would think TC would be longer lines .
  19. I'm hearing febuary 12 for soft opening. Will update u as I know more
  20. Just got the newsletter. I find it interesting that they aren't advertising anything new for Holiday in the Park for the TC area. I was hoping for a show since Kwirk and the Halloween equivalent have been a hit. Also it says " Holiday in the Park hours are 10:30 a.m. – 6 p.m." I don't think it even gets dark before then. Also has anyone gone on the Bag-of-food drive event before? I was planning on going that day but will revise if you think it will be crowded.
  21. Went there yesterday and it was crazy. Thankfully I spent the 45$ on an express pass. I hit single rider line for Ridler, Viper, Drop of Doom and all the mazes/scare zones by 9. (Started with the Unleased show at 6:30). Lines were often 2+ hours. Good thing I saved for the express pass.
  22. I would go on a Sunday Night its not nearly as crowded. If thats impossible I recommend geting an express pass. The maze lines get rediously long.
  23. I don't know why. However they usually close it immediately after summer opperations close (which would be next monday) so my guess is that they wont bother fixing it for it to be up for 3 days. I'll be at the park today too. I expect no crowds since school is back in session. If anyone wants to meet up with a fellow enthusiast I'll be wearing a solid blue shirt and black plaid shorts.
  24. 1) It should be a moderate day (I was there last year when it was a bring a friend deal). There is a Bring A Friend for $25 coupon for Season Pass Holders that day. It shouldn't be nearly as packed as the bring a friend free days. I went to bring a friend for 9.99 last week and the park was manageable. 2) I would always budget for a fast pass and buy it if the crowds warrant it. Do you want to ride rerides? You should have no problem riding every ride once. 3)They try and do off maintenance in September so everything is ready for Fright Fest (which doesn't run that Monday but runs every other operating day in October). They usually close Tidal Wave because its a water ride. 4) They start letting Gold Pass members in the park around 10:15. They let discover card members use the gate on the far left to get into the park at 10:25. I recommend arriving an hour early and getting in line because if your first in line you can usually get in 5 more rides between 10:30-11:00 (Do rerides you will be forever greatful) Also, in the past they have done early enter events for season pass holders on that day. A gold season pass goes on sale on labor day weekend and is usually cheaper on labor day then a general admission then you can use the gold pass lane to get in and bring your wife for the $25. By the way the Gold Pass lane is on the far right hand side. 5) I'm a poor student and I don't invest in the Valet. It costs alot and if you arrive at the park 1hr early like I suggested you will be in the first parking lot and not have to walk far.
