  1. The wasted space that I was referring to is the abundance of extra space in the que line. On the inside of the building there is a bunch of extra room for cool props and other effects that they could add to make the que more interesting, but instead until you get to Cyborg/the station all you have are some pillars with rope light and some flags. There is so much potential. I had this very same thought when I first rode Justice League. The large amounts of unused space at the front of the queue looks odd, almost like they planned on putting a bunch of stuff there but ran out of money. But we do really like the ride and feel it is worth a one hour wait (but not a two hour wait). Mike
  2. We always ride in the first or second car and it is not rough at all. Last time we rode in the very front it was as smooth as I remember when it first opened nearly 40 years ago. Mike
  3. I would definitely sign up and give this a try if I didn't have three kids and had more time. Mike
  4. The logo for the Boss has flames around it so RMC of the Boss would tie into the tease. If that were the case I would think there would have been more and better teases. Also, SFDK has been teasing RMC of Roar. Looks like superloop looks most likely at this point. Mike
  5. Thunder River Reverse Splash. Awesome! Mike
  6. Considering there is going to be a "huge announcement" of something "unbelievable" certainly this is our year for a hyper! Right Prozach? Mike
  7. Justice League is probably down for quite awhile, when you have to put a sign outside the ride it's never a good sign. One of my co-workers heard that it was not going to reopen until October. Anyone else hear anything about a time frame? Mike
  8. Thanks for the heads up Harleyguy. I wasn't paying attention enough to notice there was a time limit on the snack. And I agree, time limit on the snack makes no sense. At WDW you can use your snacks anytime. Mike
  9. I really wasn't going to talk about this visit, because all my others this year have been amazing .... Anyway lesson learned NEVER attend on a bring a friend free day. Thanks Theymitbgi for the reply. I thought there would be more posts about this because as I said, and you said, it was insane. Other than my youth when the park first opened and the trams were running to the far reaches of the parking lots, I have never seen anything like it. HWfan, did the park break any modern era attendance records on Saturday? sure looked like it. Mike
  10. I agree, sitting in the front car staring down at the ground is pretty cool. Sitting in the last car, all the way at the top of the spike is also cool. Did both numerous times the first couple years of Reverse Blast. The reverse launch is a little uncomfortable, but I can handle it. But I am over the gimic of the reverse launch, cool view from the top of the spike. Bottom line is the forward launch, as the ride was designed, is awesome, as I was just reminded at WDW RRC. Mike
  11. I proposed the split launch on this thread over a year ago and there were a number of people in the know posting as to why it would be difficult technically. Brilliant idea though! Mike
  12. I agree with Prozach. Time to turn the trains back around. We just got back from Disney World and did Rock 'n' Rollercoaster half a dozen times. A reminder of how much I miss Mr. Freeze's forward launch.
  13. We arrived at the park on Saturday around noon and the crowds were insane! All lots were full except the far southeast lot. I dropped the family off in the drop off lot where there was a line from there all the way to the metal detectors. It appeared all metal detectors were open with huge lines for each one. It looked like there were some long lines past the metal detectors leading to the ticket booths and gates. We figured it would take well over an hour to get in, and would then be facing long wait times for rides and long lines for lunch, so we left. Was there anything going on except the first nice day in a while plus bring a friend free on Fathers Day weekend? If anyone braved the crowds I would be curious what the ride wait times were like.
  14. Opening weekend a park employee told me May 24th was the opening for JLBFM. I saw Dave later in the day and asked him about it, and he said no, the date has not been set, and won't be until the vehicles are on the tracks and they know it's working. He did not say it would not be the 24th, just that it has not been set yet.
  15. Awesome update. Lot's of work went into that. Thanks HWFan!
  16. Thanks again for the updates HWFan. Looking forward to opening weekend!
  17. The power problems never affected any of our visits last year, but glad to hear it's fixed! Really looking forward to new Justice League ride, just a little afraid of how long the lines are going to be.
  18. Thanks HWFan for the information. Always appreciated. Mike
  19. My kids love TS, wife and I hate it. You get more wet that the worst soaking on Thunder River and I think the force of the stream on the guns is too strong. If you get hit in the face and the eyes it actually hurts, especially if you have sensitive eyes.
  20. Thanks for the update HWFan! We are really looking forward to this ride!
  21. Always sad to end the season. We had hoped for three Frightfest visits and only managed one. Weather was our nemisis yesterday. Looking forward to next year! Mike
  22. Thanks for the replies on the train. We can't go this weekend, and Nov. 1st and 2nd weekend only way for us to do the train would be Sunday, and one of our little guys has a birthday party to attend, so would have to leave in the middle of the day and just come back for the train. Sounds like it is not worth all that trouble, and we will go on Nov.1st (can't stay for the train because of a prior engagement).
  23. Thanks Vonni. I think we will skip it. Mike
  24. I haven't seen much on the Radioactive Rails. Is it worth the wait, and, what have the wait times been this year? Last year wait times were crazy. thanks. Mike
  25. We had a nice visit to Frightfest yesterday. Crowds were moderate so we were pretty much able to do what we wanted except Screamin' Eagle was down. I'm not sure if they ever got it going as we did not go back up to that part of the park. The drummers put on a pretty good show on DC plaza. Really enjoyed the use of the Scooby-Doo theming in the Macabre Mansion walk through attraction this year. The upgraded spider theming by American Thunder and Moon Cars was fun, including the small walk through. We did not stay for the train and will do it next time, but yeah, the lines for it last year were terrible. We had a nice conversation with Dave just before we left and he is really excited about the Justice League dark ride for next year. Interesting, he said some of the props/theming from Scooby Doo were sent back to Sally to be refurbished/reused on other Scooby Doo rides. He said it felt better than just scrapping it all.
