  1. Yes and no. You have to understand that "Dueling Dragons being removed" isn't just about a park knocking down a ride. It goes much deeper than that and is a discussion a lot longer than I have the time for at the moment... What, are you saying that it isn't worth being stripsearched to ride a slightly better themed version of Cheetah Hunt? Agree about the strip-searching. But I'm pretty sure the JP one is supposed to be more like Maverick.
  2. No. Not at all. People really need to stop comparing these two coasters. They are nothing like each other in any way. Gotcha. So basically, Pottercoaster = Cheetah Hunt, and Jurrassic Park coaster = Maverick. We don't know enough about the JP coaster to make that assumption. I'm only guessing it was going to be more like Cheetah Hunt because that's what I've been told. So if that is the case then it would be Pottercoaster = Cheetah Hunt, and Jurrassic Park coaster = Cheetah Hunt. Which is exactly why I said above: You may be right. I'm just going by what I've gathered.

  4. IDK. Is Maverick roughly the same intensity as Cheetah Hunt? Because it's supposedly going to be similar to that.
  5. I'm just thrilled they're putting out a big thrill coaster to make up for the loss of Dragons.

  8. You have to put everything in a fluffy, fluffy bunny filled with medicine and goo at Universal for their coasters. Yeah I know that, that was why I brought up Busch making them optional. BTW, what is the origin of calling l-----s "fluffy, fluffy bunnies filled with medicine and goo?" I feel like I'm missing out there...
  9. ^Gotcha. Last time I was at Busch I remember the option of lockers but I was wearing cargo shorts so my phone was fine.
  10. ^^^ I thought you had pretty much moved on from Dragons? See, the problem with the rumor about a Forbidden Forest ride is it would be redundant--in addition to the name "Forbidden," FJ ALREADY GOES INTO the Forbidden Forest! I do agree about the Dragons lockers though. I had a nightmare experience with those last year (couldn't remember which locker was mine, was insanely crowded). Hulk's lockers work very well IMO.
  11. ^If it involves riding Hagrid's motorcycle or the Ford Angela through the Forbidden Forest, with practical sets, then that's acceptable. THey'd need to make sure to make it different from the Forest section in FJ. Really not into, nor do I care about, Fantastic Beasts.
  12. Gotta say, I'm surprised that nothing is being rumored to retheme Marvel. Nintendo would make a lot of sense, but given that it's replacing Kid Zone, that's off the table. The nice thing about Nintendo being in the planned spot is that we'll actually be getting new rides. Given all the awesome-sounding things Disney's announced recently, Nintendo is desperately needed.
  13. I recently rode Hulk, and it was extremely smooth. Do you have a very low pain tolerance? It has snappy elements, which may cause you to whack your head, but other than that, it's an amazing ride. From my experience it depends on where you sit. Sit in the front half--particularly the first three rows, and in the center--and it's B&M at their best, I daresay at least as good as anything at Busch (and that's high praise). Sit in the back few rows--mainly the outer seats--and I can agree with JJ. I also don't quite buy the narrative that they were making it easier to re-theme. The old queue wasn't exactly Dueling Dragons, and given the Hulk statue (not to mention the Marvel character names on the launch tube), I think the old ride would've been at least as easy to redo.
  14. ^I'd say UO's between a rock and a hard place with Dragons, but given the metal detectors you'd think they'd be able to duel again. That queue though...thank god we got FJ and its queue to make up for it (JMO). What's there is still far better than yet another 3D dark ride. It'd be cool if they could finally get wing riders right. Anyways, your pics are outstanding! I assume you'll be taking pictures of Pandora?
  15. ^Nice to see it get the attention it deserves. Though Dinosaur (my personal favorite ride at WDW) is still largely ignored (I know I know IJA and all). Between that, Everest, Safaris, and now Avatar, it might seriously become my favorite park soon.
  16. ^Glad I'm not the only one who loves AK. Agreed, it's very underrated.
  17. Wow, this looks great! Unfortunately, I fear a lot of these "activists" aren't going to be happy unless they're shut down for good, never mind the fact that SW ended the very thing they were calling for to end.
