I saw the thread asking about which coaster you wish you could ride one more time, and damn I miss Log Jammer... and riding roller coasters at night! I really need to make an effort to just get out and head to the park on weekends. I go solo 90% of the time and when I am actually with a crew or someone else, it's around this time of year for all of the holiday themed events. I think I'm spoiled (although the last few years are more crowded) with the weekday 1 to 2 hour long trips during season and being able to ride a bunch of stuff because of entering early with gold pass and it's so empty early, so I don't really spend too much time in the park anymore and don't deal with much of a crowd unless it's the holiday events or a ride opening. BUT... I can't even remember my last night coaster. During the season, it obviously gets dark later, with the park closing at 6. They have those weeks where it's open until 8 but it's still not fully dark outside. So yeah, I can't even remember my last night coaster. Damn, I love coasters in the dark, and miss Log Jammer night rides. I really need to get out there and do it. Good Times

The "Say Something Random" Thread

The Indianapolis Colts piss me off.. sheesh!! -
obviously, and I get water cups, it's just one of those things where it's like.. just add a few more dollars to the dining pass price if needed and include a drink. make it a true "meal". I don't know and it's no biggie, I don't want to whine too much about it. haha and I love that about the Premature Heart Disease pass description. that cracked me up.

I wish they'd just include (small) drinks with a dining pass. Somedays I don't feel like carrying the bottle around or head over randomly and don't have it, so now I just order a kids meal now to wet the whistle. I get it a small drink is $5 a pop, but it's like come onnnnn... It just looks so stupid, to me. "Oh hey heres your dining pass for 2 meals and a snack all year, oh but you don't get a drink, sorry!" ... It's hard to lean one way or another as far as peoples emotions and feelings go, positive or negative, towards the park and the announcements, but I definitely do get where everyone who isn't happy is coming from. I'm thankful for all they have done, because I remember the past 10-15 years and how things were... so hellll yeah I love seeing the additions and changes made, but I do agree or see the point about there being all these renovations but no shade and stuff like that... No matter what, it just seems like they BARELY miss the mark. I just really want to see something happen with those horrible finger scanners and improve the flow of your experience entering the park from parking to the gate! haha yaaaaaaaaa, anyway

From the West Coast Bash page: If I hear one person complain that a ride isn't open and try to use the excuse of "Well TPR advertised it" not only will you not be allowed to attend another one of our events ever again but you'll be banned from TPR for life. Look, I get it that everyone is looking forward to riding stuff, but if one ride being down is going to make or break the day for you, do us all a favor and don't go. --Robb "So sick of all the complaining." Alvey HAHAHAHA! Robb just laid a smack down on us! It's true though, if a ride is down then don't let it ruin the day. Just have a Churro, a lemon slushy and all will be well! And put on your headphones and listen to Chicago.-Saturday in the Park. Sent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk haha "Saturday in the Park" is definitely on my coaster playlist. I like your style!

I've always wished they stayed open later. I remember as a younger dude being there with old friends during the summer and riding coasters at night, and there was nothing like it. The nostalgia kicks even thinking about it haha so corny. Now it seems like that feel is so foreign to me. It seems like it's not an option unless it's fright fest or busy weekends, with the way the sunset and park hours work out. I've had the itch for golfing this summer and that has taken away from my park trips because I play like 4 times a week, and the amount of time and energy one can spend under the Sun is only so much without being too drained... but I really want/need to get out to the park and I really want to experience Twisted Colossus and TNR at night (among a few others... of all the trips I've made I'm beginning to think I haven't been on Drop of Doom at night, wow). I don't have any friends anymore lol and while I'm so used to just throwing in my headphones and listening to a podcast or some music and charging it by myself at the park (which is awesome), I do want someone to kick it with, so if anyone is ever up for a meet up let me know. I saw pages back someone had mentioned that and I think it would be cool to meet up and hang out. Asking family or the few friends I have, that aren't into coasters like I am and them having no interest definitely has a brother a little envious of some of the posts I see that gets family to join and experience the parks with you.

Great update and comments. I'm excited... I'm just trying to kill time (I'm soooooo bored right now!!!!) so I can head to the park tomorrow to check it out. I'm doing the 11AM preview (anyone else?) so I just want to get in and ride a few things before checking it out...its been quite a few months since I've been able to ride full throttle because it seems like when I'm there it's closed or down or just not something I chose to wait on, but after seeing the lengthy update on the enjoyable day at the crowded park I hope to get a ride on YOLO. I love (the new) revolution and I'm happy we have some hours where we can enjoy night rides at the park. Revolution was always a favorite and I still haven't done TC but look forward to being able to do both soon again at night. It's crazy thinking about both iconic coasters transformed, the shape they were in and what we have now, and I'm thankful. So yeah, can't wait. Only thing is I can't stand the fencing and green tarp or whatever around the final helix.. blah The theming looks nice, just wish that could spread to the whole park..

I was over there today and had some fun.. But definitely hectic with spring break Gold pass line shut down before 10:30 so I had to wait even after mentioning I had 3 minutes and would hope they could get me situated.. and then it took forever getting GP in.. I'm just repeating what we all know but wow the finger scanners and entrance in general is such a mission.. I Saw them let a guy in with his season pass not processed then his buddy behind him couldn't get in with his season pass receipt, then when he mentioned they literally just let his friend in using his receipt, they told the friend it worked for who was already in that he had to exit and go process his pass right away and obviously he was like "what theeee heck we are already in!!".. I think it's funny you pay for the privilege for something like early entry with gold pass but then have to show up earlier just to assure yourself time to make it in because the clusterfu.. With security and the gate.. I get it, and I've Never have had a problem getting there early and don't think I'm any better or deserve special privilege but hey gold pass people do pay, right? And when you are cutting it close and it's still not 10:30 I would hope to be able to use my gold pass feature.. Why can't there just be a gold pass security and entrance or at least do it until 11:00? Wah poor me haha.. Nah jk but just things I think about There was No rice at the new chop six (they ran out?) so couldn't eat there after waiting in line for 10 minutes and just seems like every dining pass member I see ordering food, they have issues with getting the machines to accept It, which makes people all Impatient in line behind us and I feel bad for the worker who has no control of the issues. Lol anyway.. A good day overall and living local I'm glad they are open for spring break until 9 so I can enjoy some night time rides (and first night ride on TC) now that it's getting darker later and with them usually closing at 6 during spring/summer you can't really enjoy it, have to wait until fall...

would really love to see longer hours all around.. I don't know the repercussions of doing that as far as having more hours for the workers and selling more/less food/merchandise/etc., but can't really get too many night time rides on coasters unless it's in the fall or on weekends.. with the exception of their nights open til 8 or so.. anyway, I can't complain I'm happy the season is here and can't wait to head over on weekdays while school is still in and it is empty. Anyone planning on going tomorrow? Coasters on a monday morning.. can't wait
