  1. I just walked over to where that picture was taken, and I haven't seen any stretchers. However I do see a power company truck, it seems like the main grid to the park runs through here, because they are working on 480volt power boxes. Ill be sure to post pictures later!
  2. The park did just lose power, im here at the moment, and nothing is running.
  3. Nitro is back open and running perfect! Sat in the back row of train B and to my surprise no rattle... at all! Also, I think two new coasters for 2015 would be a great step forward for the park. As mentioned before, they haven't been spending too much money on major attractions, so maybe we are in for a surprise! I would love to see a Mack launched coaster similar to Helix in The Chiller's old location, and a more family oriented GCI that follows the lake in between skull mountain and the rapids. Would really revitalize the area very well.
  4. Yea, the concerts are defiantly making the park a lot more crowded then it usually is this early in the season. Going back tomorrow and will be sure to give a trip report on Nitro!
  5. Last time I checked,(4:30) it was still not open. However from the parking lot I could see the MCBR and there was a train stationary with a bunch of mechanics. Hopefully it will open soon so we can have our floater air back!
  6. Just got to the park and Nitros lift just stopped and is being evacuated
  7. ^I'm really looking forward to that too, never have gotten the chance to ride a namtab........... does that count as an extra coaster credit!? Just kidding
  8. I'm loving how this coaster looks! Hopefully ill get on it next year; that low track is going to cause some awesome foot choppers !
  9. Is it possible that anyone could update us with some pictures?
  10. Wow this ride cant get a break........ I can't believe Gerstlauer is having all these problems with the ride.....
  11. Maybe you should have arrived in the park at 10AM to get some rides in before the crowds. Sounds like you damn well knew there would be huge lines in the evening. Yep! Really wanted to show up early but we were taking forever to leave. By the way sorry for the bad grammar before, i was typing on my cracked iphone screen. However Eltoro did open back up, not sure what closed it though.
  12. Justshowedupat the park and went stright to eltoro. In typical fright fest fassion the line was far out of the que and going over the bridge to bizzaro. Eltoro just broke down again but we have no idea what is going on. They even had track inspectors on the track! Hope this isint another major eltoro breakdown :/
  13. Thats really funny! I was also there for one of the last public rides! haha It was actually a lot smoother then it usually is.
  14. The land IS NOT owned by Six Flags. This proposal, along with the designs created, is just something the state and the township is illustrating to show how successful a "resort" in the area will be. The designs are obviously not what will be built, if it is ever built, but just a "commercial" with concept drawings to try and get potential investors interested so this project could go forward. Will it ever happen? Probably not. They have tried to do this once before and it failed do to the economy. Maybe with the proposed designs and explaining how it could be a win-win for everybody, "some" interest will be created. The state and township are just pushing for this because they know it will create some money in their pockets. This is also something COMPLETELY different then Jackson Twenty-One which of course got the townships approval but has YET to move forth. I highly doubt this project will ever see the light of day either. My opinion, Jackson is just trying to figure out more ways for them to make money from the park. Seeing they can't raise the cost of parking anymore at Great Adventure (yep, they are the reason why parking is so extreme) they are just trying to find any other way to fill their pockets. not sure but the land may be owned by six flags as of right now, but could possibly be sold as a hotel would obviously benefit the park.....

  16. Six Flags Great Adventure! Thank God........
  17. From what I can tell it would be built in the parking lot, and then parking garages added. *edit* - it looks like it would only take up half the parking lot! Based on the concept art it looks like it won't be built in the parking lot at all. I circled the area where I think it will be built in red. You hit the head right on the nail....... all the surroundings match up perfectly! Nice work

  19. lol! If they wanted they could theme the tunnel as hell and then the barrel roll right after!
  20. There is actually a really old Vekoma boomerang in Ocean City MD! I rode it just about a week ago in the very front and back seats. I was really caught off guard because of the coasters age. Its actually still really smooth. The front is cool when you are going over the cobra roll and you get the hangtime on the last inversion! From a reliability standpoint, the ride seems OK. The one thing that told me they were having some issues was that they changed the locking systems of the restraints. Instead of being automatic, there is a little peddle on the side of each car, that you push down on to release the restraints! You can actually see it in the bottom corner of the car here.
  21. First Post Here! Anyway i'm actually shocked that SFGAv is actually attaching the drop tower to the front of Kingda Ka. Ever since the bolt failure on Kingda Ka, id never think of them letting people back there! Honestly, i was pretty sure they would add a freestanding structure for their drop tower near the closed off path in between Kingda Ka and El Toro.
