Highlights of Your Season?
ntag2ndturn replied to 2012jarrett's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
*Best moment- My first visit to SFOT this season, riding NTAG 24 times pre-accident. *Best individual ride: Last night(October 19th), NTAG at 40 degrees, back seat, full moon, brisk wind, sitting next to some terrified girl around my age. Perfect. *Funniest moment: Ended up carrying on a forty minute conversation with a ride op about Shockwave vs. Mindbender *Scariest moment- Waiting in line for NTAG when the accident occurred. *Strangest moment- Losing my season pass purchasing a Fright Pass *Favorite individual park visit: October 19th. Perfect weather, chilly, a couple rides on everything, Fright Fest tossed in. *Nerdiest moment: Corrected a four year old about the height of Judge Roy Scream *Best non-coaster related thing to happen at a park: Getting free chicken fingers because the ones we paid for were undercooked. *Best thing to happen on a park trip outside of the park: I got nothing *Favorite new experience: Giant StarFlyers *Anything else you'd like to mention as a highlight -
Oldest Coaster You've Ridden

I personally think it will have a 24 foot hill, a 5 degree first drop, and be 85 feet long. Ok, with that out I just can't believe they're going with an RMC. I have been on two of the Rocky Mountain Construction rides, Irat and NTAG, and NTAG is my favorite ride on the face of the Earth. This better be good if it's going to dethrone my NTAG.

I wish they would just put something new in the Judge's spot. I know it's one of their family rides and an ACE Coaster Landmark, but I personally don't have any nostalgic feelings for it, much less do enjoy it. I say they either tear it down, or retrack and put Timberliners on it. That's my opinion. If they did replace it though, I like to think a new GCI would be put in it's place.

Kings Island (KI) Discussion Thread

Well, I'm 5'4 and about 110 pounds and BTR clones, especially in the corkscrews, do produce some headbanging. But for some of my bigger friends, (5'10 and 220ish. Yes, I'm friends with some linebackers) it's completely headbanging free. It's odd. But that's what I've found on the SFOT clone. -
1. Go to the Skyscreamer first thing. The line, even on Tuesday's can exceed an hour. Hit Gotham next, Mr. Freeze is still one of my favorites, and Batman is still a fun invert. 2. If you do choose to ride the Judge, I recommend front row, because it's SLIGHTLY less punishing. Never again will I ride in the back. Never again... 3. In park food choices are pretty generic. Newman's Corndogs are pretty good, and so is JB"s BBQ. After this I would recommend Shockwave, but unfortunately Satan has other plans . The Giant of course would be a must hit, but again, it's closed. 4. Titan has been a walk-on the last three times I've gone, and I'm assuming it will be when you go so make sure to get plenty of rides on that. I recommend the back. *La Vibora and Runaway Mountain are best late, on the line dies down. Hope that helps.

At TPR we frown upon and shy away from speculating until there is proof of a coaster being added. "Proof" being a loose term that emcompasses: survey markers, track sightings, leaked plans, hints from the park, statements from the Dippin Dots guy. Thank you for the info. I'll be sure not to make that mistake again.

Hey guys. So I'm new to the forum and just thought I would start over here at my home park's thread. I'm a fourteen-year old coaster fanatic. Don't judge me on my age, I still share the same love for rollercoasters as the rest of you, though I probably haven't been on as many. Now, with that out of the way, I guess I will go ahead ask one question. Is anyone speculating a new coaster this year for Over Texas? I've been trying to see over that fence the blocks off where Flashback used to be, but no rides really hold you high enough to actually look down on that area and really let you get a good look, with the exception of Sky Screamer which I have yet to ride (The line, even on like Wednesday's where it's 106 degrees, is almost over thirty minutes, and it just didn't seem worth it considering Titan and NTAG were walk-on). Is there any destruction of the old shopping center going on? I know Screamscape doesn't say anything about it, but I still like to hold hope that maybe a X-Flight Clone (or maybe a custom?) wing-rider might be in store for 2014.
