  1. I'm not sure why, but Cedar Point seems to be plagued with ride issues today. Raptor was down until around noon, Wicked Twister is still testing, Top Thrill Dragster has sent 3 trains all day so far, Rougarou broke down while I was waiting in line two separate times and is currently not running, Gemeni is running only the red side though both sides were racing yesterday, Millenium Force was down for a bit, and Windseeker also closed after being open for a while. I missed Kingda Ka at SFGAdv last year due to Zumanjaro construction so I really hope TTD opens today.
  2. I'm doing pretty much only Six Flags' this year: - Six Flags Great America - Six Flags America - Six Flags Great Adventure - Six Flags Over Georgia (3rd time) - Carowinds (home park)
  3. It will open on May 31st to the public at the earliest. May 24th was their original target date but they moved it to May 31st the other week because of poor weather over the winter. That is literally one of the most disappointing things ever. I can't believe I am missing it by just a few days. Maybe they will have a random public testing/photoshoot on Tuesday?
  4. I really hope this is open by May 24th... How likely is that in reality? I'm going on the 27th and will likely not be able to go back in the next few years. The construction crew seems to be moving pretty quickly though.
  5. On my visit to Knoebels I was incredibly unlucky and lucky at the same time. We had planned to visit the park for the last 4 hours until close, but due to road closings, traffic, and general group slowness, we didn't get there until just before dark with just over an hour to visit (we were coming up from NC). I had enough time to get in the park, take a picture, find Phoenix, buy a ticket, and get in the queue line just as it got really dark. It was just my luck that the only thunderstorm on the entire east coast was coming in right on top of Knoebels at the same time. The very light rain started and I heard a few rumbles of thunder off in the near distance as I waited in line. It wasn't until I went down the first drop on Phoenix that the rain absolutely dumped from the sky and the lightning picked Knoebels as a target. The combination of not being able to see because of the torrential rain, not being able to see because it was so dark, being a first time rider on Phoenix, and the coaster itself made for a truly terrifying but awesome experience. I thought I was going to die - either from the "airtime buffet" (that I couldn't even see) without a seat belt, or from being struck by lightning. This was probably the best coaster ride of my life though. The weather was not that crazy, the ride was not that crazy, but the two together was completely insane. I saved this screenshot from the day.
  6. 1. Maverick 2. X2 3. Storm Runner 4. Apollo’s Chariot 5. Goliath (SFOG) 6. Phoenix 7. Fahrenheit 8. Skyrush 9. Montu 10. Thunderhead I didn't care much for I305 or Millennium Force. They're not bad but they are just not top ten for me.
  7. I waited at least 2 hours for Tatsu on my visit to SFMM a few years ago and had to listen to the ride operator scream "Tat-SUUOOOUOOO" at every dispatch.
  8. 28, not too bad I guess. That's exactly 33.3% of all the roller coasters I've ever been on.
