Also, I think the operations at the park have gotten a lot better. It was pretty bad after the incident, which is understandable. But the past 2 weeks I've been have seemed to be better. Only waited 30-40 min for Giant this past Saturday, much faster then the reopening the Saturday before.

^ I understand that some folks will be upset with this rule, but hey....it is what it is. It doesn't really bother me to have to move a row up, its still the back area of the train. But also, I wouldn't think a lot of folks go to to Six Flags alone. So this rule might not affect a lot of people. Has anyone been to Fright Fest this year? It was the BEST FF every at SFOT I think. Check it out!

I just wanna say that Fright Fest was AMAZING! 10 times better then last year! Go check it out! -For the best experience of FF, wait till the sun goes down.

^ I'm not really sure where you heard that ShockWave will be closing permanently in a few years-cause it's not true. ShockWave will be around for a VERY long time.

I really am excited to see how well Looney Tunes U.S.A. will look next year. I wonder when they will have the area completed? Will they wait till the end of May again? Also, I'm glad they decided to spruce up this area up, really shows how well balanced OT is. I believe it's the best balanced park in the entire SF chain. Therefore to me, it's my favorite park in the chain.

^ Right, I don't think it had anything to do with the accident. I really am excited for 2014. I have heard several upgrades will take place within the park. Also really glad to hear them expanding/updating Looney Tunes U.S.A. To me a theme park is more then just roller coasters and big rides, I love that Over Texas has a large variety of rides for everyone. I would have to say Over Texas offers the best variety of rides over any other SF park.

I'm so excited for tomorrow's BIG announcement. I really can't even guess what's coming this year compared to last year. Although I have read reports on other forms of an X-Flight type ride possibly coming, but who knows. It would be nice.

If something as serious as a lap bar "opened up completely" during the rides course, why didn't you inform the ride ops? Or did you? If not It really doesn't make much sense to me why you wouldn't have reported that. People could get hurt, are you sure the bar came all the way up?

Glad to hear IRAT is back in operation! Hopefully Giant will be again soon.

I don't see why Giant would be closed for the rest of the season. I've heard that the investigation will be wrapping up shortly.

^Gotham City is always open during FF. But you are right, never during HIP. I've been told the reason why Gotham is closed during HIP is so the park can strat rehab in that area.

I can't wait for the announcement on the 29th! Whether it's a coaster or not, I'm sure I'll still like whats coming. I have heard that OT may make several upgrades throughout the park in 2014. While I don't know if that's true or not, if it is, that's always good to see. They made several upgrades this year and I loved it. I really think OT is the BEST park in the chain, and I hope they continue making the park amazing.

Agreed! I'm not surprised the news could be misinformed. Hell they have all weekend.

Ok, so now I'm a little confused, dad may have a point. Fox 4 news just reported and I quote "She was ejected as the roller coaster began it's first steep decent" To me, "First steep decent" sounds like the first drop, right? But how? they said she fell 75 feet....The lift hill is 153 feet. So, I'm really confused now....

So my dad just called me, he's like "Did you hear what happened at Six Flags?" Yes......."Lady fell from the first drop" :/ According to him, NBC 5 just reported that during their 4'o clock segment. I didn't even argue with him because it's pointless, he believes everything he hears. If that's even what they said, I bet not. My dad is a good example of how misinformed the GP really is. LOL!

I would also have to agree that this is inappropriate. Having a sense of humor is one thing, betting on death is completely different. What would the family of victim think if they saw this? Sad.

I don't think Friday's incident will have much affect on attendance, it sure didn't Saturday, it was crazy busy before the rain storm.

Well yeah, I'm sure it was slow around that time. Right after I arrived around 4 it starting raining hard, which cleared a large portion of the crowd out. It took me 30 min. just to get out of the parking lot around 6 cause lots of folks were leaving. Also, I have confirmed from sources that yesterday was a "normal" Saturday crowd for SFOT.
