  1. Brandon Bruce is the park's PR guy. I've met him a few times at the park but I don't think his name has anything to do with it. Plus, we already have 2 Batman themed rides. I would love to see a RMC added to the park. Over speculation. Brandon Bruce and Katy Enrique are both PR people. Last year she was playing the role that Brandon is this year. Telling you to not do this and to wait. Its just to build up the hype.
  2. Nice PTR. but what is snapping and how do you do it?
  3. Any idea or update on any new ride for 2014? Like the rumored dark ride in the Coliseum?
  4. My ultimate dream would be for them to bring the ride back to what it originally was. With Dream Finder and the 2nd floor imageworks. I would love for that to happen and have the rainbow tunnel back. There is an extremely small chance of that happening but I won't ever forget what figment said. "One little spark, of inspiration. Is at the heart, of all creation. Right at the start, of everything that's new. One little spark, lights up for you. Two tiny wings, eyes big and yellow. Horn of a steer, but a lovable fellow. From head to tail, he's royal purple pigment. And there, Viola!, you've got a Figment! We all have sparks, imaginations. That's how our minds, create creations. For they can make, our wildest dreams come true. Those magic sparks, in me and you. Imagination, imagination. A dream, can be a dream come true. With just that spark, in me and you." So I can imagine that it would go back to what it once was. Doesn't that sound good? What if we had that back?
  5. ^ I know it is nothing like what it used to be but, I just like it. I like the theme of it and the building and Figment
  6. The Epcot Explorer's Encyclopedia "The Imagination pavilion at Epcot will cease operations on January 2nd, 2014. The Captain EO show will not reopen, while the ride and retail location are rumored to remain closed for one year for renovations. There is no official statement from Disney on the scale of work at this time." Hope this is just a rumor.

  8. At a Q&A with the park president from Great America, he almost made it sound like another Six Flags park might get Batman Backwards for Fright Fest. It might be St. Louis since that is the closest park. Not sure though because I feel like St. Louis would've already announced it.
  9. I am going today too, so I might see you. Go towards the back of the park starting by going to the left. Crowds maybe bad depending on the weather but if it is hot most people will be in the water park which is included and eat out of the park. Just tried to keep it short and sweet.
  10. Where on the website do you see that those rides are closed?
  11. Everybody email Ed Hart to try to save Greezed Lightning.
  12. What exactly is a banshee or what does banshee mean?
  13. From California's Great America's Facebook: "How many times have you ridden Gold Striker??? Jeff and James just rode it for the 100th time!!! Congrats guys…" Congrats Guys! Did you know you were going to be on their Facebook?
  14. Here's another picture of the second Mine Train.
  15. I remember reading a report from a worker at SFSTL (it was posted on the deleted sfstl.net). Apparently the ride is still able to run and this worker had ridden it along with other operators after the park closed. Of course, there is no way to tell if this guy was lying, but it really doesn't make a difference. Either way, SF is not going to put time and money to restore the ride. Even if the ride can be run, plenty of stuff needs to be done to really make sure it looks nice and is safe. At that point, they might as well buy a whole new set of teacups. That is strange because I remever hearing that they removed all of the mechanisms from the ride when it closed, so that means that it could never operate again. I wonder what the real story is. Anyway here is a picture if the Hannibarrels when they were in operation.
  16. Those are Intamin Drunken Barrels that operated from 1971-1996. From 1971-1995 they operated under the name of Hannibarrels. In 1996 the name was changed to Powder Keg.
  17. Taking a trip to the park next week. Any tips for visiting the park? Thanks. Also, does anybody know what happened to the Dispatch Master Transport sign that used to be in the queue for Disaster Transport?
  18. That is the complete and full showing of igNIGHT Grand Finale that the park did for us yesterday at the Commercial Shoot. I video taped and uploaded to YouTube today so people that weren't there can watch the whole show.
  19. Hello, I attended the igNIGHT Grand Finale commercial shoot today. We were finally let in a little bit late around 8:45 and they didn't start filming until even later. Filming concluded around 12:10. During the shoot we were given a styrofoam glow stick. The glow stick had a Six Flags Great America logo on it as well as the igNIGHT Grand Finale logo. I believe that they will sell these before each show. There were many cameras there, including one on a boom. They kept on videotaping the same scene over and over again. But then as a surprise, we got a treat from them. They performed the whole show for us. It lasted a little longer than 20 minutes. But they also didn't do any costume changes. Overall, I think the show is pretty good and I think the general public will love it. I would give it an 8.5 out of 10. Some of the effects that they use in it is very cool, and the projections, lasers, lights, singing, and choreography is very well done. They even did some pyrotechnics for us. One of the fireworks ended up shooting out towards the crowd a bit and a part of one of them ended up landed on the Hometown Square bathrooms and then exploded on the roof of it. It was a really fun event and I want to thank Six Flags Great America for doing it. One thing that I noticed when I was leaving and that I thought was strange was that they drained Columbia Carousel's Pond. It was filled up when we all entered the park for the commercial shoot. So does anybody know why they did this? I have a video of the whole igNIGHT Grand Finale performance that I will hopefully post on YouTube later today. Thanks for reading.
  20. I don't think a Coaster would fit in Hometown Park. You don't even think the Spracely Sprockets Rockets I was talking about going in there, a Vekoma Roller-Skater Model with a track length of about 680 feet could fit there. They could even build it over some of the existing grass by the little creek. But again it was just an idea.
  21. It is also my home park and I was trying to think of a way to open up some new room for a coaster to go in Iron Wolfs land and then some. I wad thinking what if they could move all of the rides including Spracely Sprockets Rockets that are are in Camp Cartoon and move them to Hometown Square. I think they could fit all of the rides and the coaster in the spot where the 3 point challenge and ladder climb game is. It could be called Hometown Park just like the kids rides and kiddie are there used to be, ahh the memories. With the then they could remove the Wilderness Theater and then we could add a great and big roller coaster coaster in that spot. thoughts on that idea?
  22. On screamscape it was reported that Viper might run backwards for the first time. How do you feel about this?
  23. On the topic of the Great American Raceway cars. On Twitter Six Flags Great America clearly said that the cars weren't returning. They tweeted that "No they are gone, and no plans for use at the park." on April 2nd when somebody asked of they would return.
