  1. I like the Jaws ride, but if this is were they are going to put Orlando's version of transformers in that spot, than I am perfectly okay with it. Also with Jaws you have the mostly unused Fear Factor arena right next to it and if you combine the two would be a massive plot of land for expansion.
  2. The only piece of concept art I've been able to find has been in the video on this news website: http://www.clickorlando.com/entertainment/theme-parks/New-attractions-planned-for-Orlando-park/-/2235348/4810702/-/xqga2g/-/index.html From the concept artwork the wooden coaster is not a big fun as it has an out and back layout. I'd be guessing it will be a Gravity Group ride. The video/picture quality is so low that I have no idea what the steel coaster looks like, but appears to be the smaller of the two.
  3. Don't forget New Fantasyland opening at Magic Kingdom in 2012/2013
  4. While the focus is certainly on WWOHP other parts of the park have seen improvements after the Wizarding World opened up its gates. The water vortex at poseidon's fury was turned back on, the long shuttered Triceratops Encounter returned as a seasonal attraction, the fog effect returned on Doctor Doom and next year will see Spiderman getting its technological updates.
  5. Yes it still runs the random drop sequences. The fifth dimension room diminished to a dark hallway last summer during the 'summer nightastic' promotion (they put curtains over the scenery and added a DCA-esque picture of the people in the elevator get shocked and disappear effect at the end of the hallway), after the promotion ended last August the room returned to it's normal self.
  6. Well I googled "Mouthless mutters" and found it to be from this riddle from The Hobbit: "Voiceless it cries wingless flutters toothless bites mouthless mutters?" The answer to the riddle is, The Wind. So maybe a Windseeker for Carowinds?
  7. I could really see something along the lines of the Dare Devil Dive coaster that was built at SFOG this year going into the Iron Wolf spot
  8. I LOVE the Jenkinsons Fun House. Its wierd to see a very well done fun house anymore, but they have one in a beachside park that I think otherwise isn't so great.
  9. I have stayed at the Microtel the last few times I have been to the point. Its about 5/10 mins from the park. The place is nothing fancy but its clean, relatively inexpensive, and has a mediocre continental breakfast. Probalby the best feature is the 24 hour indoor pool and hot tub, which feels great after a long day at CP.
  10. Red & Yellow? I know its the world first Hulk Hogan themed roller coaster!!
  11. One thing to consider in your touring plan for WDW, is that Toy Story Mania at the studios is a very very popular attraction. The lines generally average about an hour on most days and fastpasses usually sell out for the day very early.
  12. I think a lot of the removal has to do with the age of these attractions as well, most log flumes have been around for a while. Six Flags has also removed a few flumes in the past few years (Riptide at SFGAdv and the flume at SFNE).
  13. The Yeti has been stuck in "B-Show" (the figure is put in a 'scary pose' and a strobe light is flashed on it) mode since sometime in the middle of the summer. I would imagine it would take a decent length refurb to fix it if it has been down that long.
  14. I was wearing a Kingda Ka sweatshirt at the park that day, I was probably the one you saw.
  15. I was at the park that day rockin my ACE shirt (i am also not fat) that day so it might have been me you saw!
  16. I just picked up a few from SFGAdv if anyone wants to swap? I already have: SFEG, SFMM, SFGAm, SFGAdv so i am looking for others
  17. i have a video of the ride in motion on my website from July 8th www.awalkinthepark.podomatic.com didn't appear to be quite finished when i was there, but it was running
  18. sorry about that, i am still new here and learning the ropes. I think i set up the videos right now.
  19. Went to Indiana Beach on Friday, cause one of my classes was cancelled. So i got my half off ACE discount and walked around. The park was empty, and i didn't wait for a singe thing for the few hours i was their. I really like Lost Coaster Of Superstition Mountain, a truly unique ride. And like how the skeleton changes what he says for different rides. Galaxi is your ordinary ride, expect the waterslides all around it make it a tad more interesting. Tig'rr is one of those only in Indiana kind of things were the coaster has absolutely not restraints. I don't know how they get away with that one but it makes the ride feel more dangerous. Hoosier Hurricane was running pretty good. Love the layout along the lake, and there was no one at the park so i got re-rides. Cornball Express is the best ride at the park IMO. The first drop is real steep, and the ride keeps a good speed intertwining around other rides and gives some good air. Den of Lost Thieves needs some rehab work, many effects weren’t working and it just look aged. Watch the video!! The double shot is in one of the best locations of any drop tower at any park being right on the lake gives a good view. The two new attractions for 2006: Splash Battle and the water play area don't look anywhere close to being completed anytime soon. This park also has some great arcades with old games, AND one of the most bizarre things at any park. THE KARP POND. So many carp just piled on top of each other trying to get some food. If you have never been here check out the video on that one. I am gonna post two videos, one of the carp pond and the other of the den of lost thieves (very dark). I am not good with editing so its just the raw videos. I Posted the Den Of Lost thieves video in the amatuer forum here: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=198852 Check Out Pictures Here: http://albums.photo.epson.com/j/AlbumIndex?u=4171376&a=32216363 Carp Pond.zip The Carp Pond
  20. sorry bout that, fixed it
  21. Pictures Can Be found Here: http://albums.photo.epson.com/j/AlbumIndex?u=4171376&a=32195995&f= well i have to say this was my first trip out to santa claus and i was completely blown away. The event was spectacular, meeting all the people was great as was the service, and the woodies were world class. I got to the park around 5 on friday night and headed straight to the voyage. AWESOME 10/10. This ride starts out with the big hill and just doesn't let up, very fast with lots of forces. The lines weren't that bad either, i got in about 10 laps on the big guy and waited a half hour twice (once for the back seat). Once the sun goes down it goes into hyperdrive, one of the greatest rides i have ever had on a coaster was the backseat in the pitchback, great air on the big hills in the begining and just out of control for the rest of it. Its the kind of ride where you have to remember to breath. Fantastic my new favorite wooden coaster. I love dark rides so i got lots of trips on the new gobbler getaway, a cool dark ride but still need to work out the kinks in some of the scenes. The first scene really gave me a mr.toad feel. And granny in the queue is probably on of the creepiest animatronics ever made. Legend was running solid all weekend and never had a line any time i road it, Raven had its troubles but still gave a great ride. The photo walkback gave lots of good pics, and there was a whole bunch of sweaty tired picture taking enthusiasts by that point in the day. Food was good my favorites were the fudge on friday night and the FRIED OREOS, i had never seen them before. Splashin Safari gave some good times, even though i didn't think too much of the new barahi action river. But i could ride the combination of Zinga and Jungle Racers all day Great times, and if theres one next year you can bet i'd be there. 22. any word on the number of people attending?
  23. i am going down for the weekend first ever trip to holiday world so i am pretty pumped don't have any TPR gear to show off though
  24. spur of the moment trip on a nice day to go visit this small park i havent been to in 4 years normal adventureland crowd, a bunch of ppl with no lines for anything some thoughts on the park: was impressed in its cleanliness and theming additions over the years not happy with this years additions replacing the unique surf dance ride and the mondial top scan which i thought was the best ride in the park with a kiddie log flume and a portable frisbee the John Silver's Twister Tower is an awesome little flat and i am surprise it hasn't popped up at more parks same goes for the crocidile run jet ski type ride, fun stuff still hate that they took the cool king kong animatronic out the haunted house and put it up on top of a upcharge climbing tower nice to be able to go to a park and by 10 dollars in tickets and hit a few rides, play some games and buy a churro fun trip Photos Can Be Found Here: http://albums.photo.epson.com/j/AlbumIndex?u=4171376&a=32184795&f=
