they are farther ahead than you think..... if you think about how much work they had to do for GateKeeper after they closed Disaster Transport at the end of July 2012.

Cedar Point's Slingshot is always $25. The park also seems to be pushing people through the lines faster now, compared to the beginning of the season where they didn't start checking restraints until the station was empty of guests from the train that just came in. That seems to have been fixed, Rougarou was bad when they did that, plus GateKeeper which is a people eater, was stacking 3 trains consistently while trying that method out. Glad its gone now!

If Cedar Point is one of the parks you are visiting, KI has a park combo ticket for $64.99 on their website.

Ask again at check in. You would think they would work with you.

I have these on my cheapo sunglasses that i wear in the parks. Never had a problem with them falling off or even feeling like they would fall off. Worry free riding! Just snug them up before you get on the ride and you will be good to go!

Looks like a great ride! Just may have to make the 8 hour drive to check it out, plus the woodies that i have been wanting to ride since forever!

I agree with this. Plus they can go for some more "est's" for the ride type to market. They have to know they have a gem sitting back there whenever they want to pull the trigger for RMC to come work their magic. Shut it down early, it is an isolated ride so work could be done during the operating season.

If those red dorms are coming down as well...figure the amount of time it will take to clear all that mess as well....site prep etc. The earlier you get started on a project, the better!

From what i remember reading, the hotel renovations were paid for with the money from the selling of the waterparks in California.

Start in the back of the park. Don't head up to Raptor or GateKeeper area until at least 2. The crowd should be spread out by then. I went on Thursday, June 19th last year, and did what i just typed above. The lines were at or ahead of the FL merge point. The people that bought FL were bitching about how they wasted their money...blah blah blah. So don't buy FL until you get a feel for how busy the park is. I was prepared to buy it, but was happy i didn't when Millennium Force and Dragster lines were ahead of the merge point pretty much all day.

No visible changes have been made to STR. GateKeeper is running better than last year IMO. Ride in the morning, then in the evening, as typical with all coasters, it runs faster later in the day. Both sides, front and back seats are great! Right front for the first hill, falling out of your seat feeling. Back left for the speed and forces. It does have a slight vibration, one train more than the others, cant remember what one, but its not bad.

I like the Top Thrill Dragster operators spiel....The tallest coaster in the World.....with lap bars!

The rooms have already received a new wall long valance and curtains. New paint, toiletries, and A/C. The A/C does not put out like the old ones, the A/C on high is not even equal to the low setting on the old ones. Its digital and goes no lower than 68. I'm glad i always bring a high output fan to circulate the air and to drown out neighbor and hallway noise. The exterior looks great! Should have looked like this from the very start! I went to Kings Island for the first time a month ago. Its a good park, but to say it is a giga coaster away from taking over Cedar Point is a bit of a stretch. Kings Island needs to develop the Resort type atmosphere with at least one hotel on site. It is definitely missing that! The one thing that they can't change is location. That is probably the #1 thing about Cedar Point that sets it apart from all other parks IMO. When i am there, i feel like i am actually far away from home. I can spend a week there and it feels like not enough time. When i was at Kings Island, a day was sufficient.

I always relate the lifthill of Mantis to a Seagull, from that side of the park. The park Mascot! Great pictures! It was our first time attending, great event! We will be back! And to top it off, they refunded our room automatically at Breakers Friday night due to to water main break!

Its better to have the increased capacity over the tires and engine, IMO.

Just have your phone alert you whenever he tweets while you are at the park. Sometimes he will give you an idea of when it will happen, other times he just does it. Some days he doesn't do one at all.

I haven't seen the 4 pack offered this year. With the tweetups, you have to be in the park to win. He usually has at least 6-8 winners, sometimes more. I have won something every day (3) we have visited so far. Day one, My wife and i won coins, next time i won a line skippie, on coastermania i won a voucher for fast lane plus! He will tweet a location to find him at, don't run because he won't give you anything! I walked all the way from GateKeeper pulling a wagon, to Super Himalaya and took the 2nd to last line skippie. I was shocked i made it.

If i remember correctly, we had 26 of those last year. My kids were too small to ride the big 4, so my wife and i had a great time using them on a Halloweekend kid free Saturday! The kids played the game, and won 6 4-packs and 2 single line skippies. This year they get to reap the benefits with us!
