  1. The Ninja's shelf-life ran out 20 years ago in my opinion. Probably considered an excellent coaster in the 80s, now just a relic of a first generation looper.
  2. In a nutshell... I think most of us believe SFSTL can be an excellent park with just handful of additions. Granted, they are not cheap additions... but just a few choice rides could elevate our park to a new pedigree. The potential is there, and we want it to happen so bad. At summer's end we get hopeful for that Big Announcement but alas end up with disappointment. Then we have to vent it out somehow, thanks to forums like this one.
  3. Definitely - lots of potential with that footprint.
  4. I hope there are plans in the near future to demolish that Go Fresh Restaurant, between the Theater and the Kiddo's Land. What an eyesore, worse than the Carousel. Just on my mind, needed to vent it out.
  5. I have seen the photos, looks like they are using the Jaws of Life to bring it down.
  6. Ahh, got it. Maybe Kingda Ka is a goner then.
  7. My take on SFGAd, I think they will modify Kingda Ka into some sorta TTD2-like creation. Since they didn't mention the Drop Ride portion of the ride getting 'retired', it makes sense to me.
  8. With all the ride removals from other Parks, SFSTL will have plenty to choose from to fill our vacant lots!
  9. Probably the same guy who was obsessed about our old Skyway and its removal 40 years ago.
  10. Speaking of Ride Removals... I would like to see STL get new Bumper Cars, Drop Tower (old Excalibur spot), and over course a new (or new to us) Steel Coaster (Tidal Wave). And while I am hoping, Titan Track for The Boss. I have lost all hope for a RMC Conversion, so Titan Track (or similar) would be great. And Rebuild the Double Helix!!!
  11. Ahhh, back to the decades old "They (SFSTL) needs to earn it first vs If they build it, they will come" argument. For the record I am in the "If they build it, They will come" camp. This is the very reason why I drive to Cincinnati and Sundusky, Ohio.
  12. Ka is coming to SFSTL, I can feel it in my gut! Instead of your typical Trains however, they will use the Horses from our SBNO Carousel. This explains why it hasn't opened in the last 5 years, this was on the Books.
  13. Better than the Empty Lot we have had for the last 4 or 5 years. I always had a gut feeling Scream (from MM) would relocate here. Same ride essentially sans the Floorless Train.
  14. Yes, The Big News - Achieving a World Record for the longest SBNO status, The SFStL Carousel!
  15. The location of Tsunami Soaker is so out of place, it has always bothered me. It doesn't belong there at all. The Kid's Area or even Hurricane Harbor is a better location. ahh whatever, who cares.
  16. Buccaneer's theming (lack thereof) is the very definition of Half-Ass. Why bother? they should have called it The Swinging Boat Ride
  17. It will take all summer to make it official however.
  18. I read Darien Lake Predator is getting more Titan Track to smooth things out along its circuit. Why, oh why is the Boss not getting this treatment!!!??? I mean, come on, the Boss sucks. Fix it or tear the thing down already.
  19. and will Cedar Fair save our pathetic carousel?
  20. I am surprised we got the Giga version of this ride. Seems too grandiose for St Louis. Especially when you look at Catwoman Whip's riders per hour. It's one extreme to another. Just another reason to think the folk's making the decisions really don't pay attention to what they are doing for SFSTL. We are just an afterthought.
  21. and Boomerrang cries a small tear today.
