Hello to all; what with the parks in the UK all closing in the next week it would appear that the year for coasters is over; and, as a new member I thought Id contribute by putting up an amalgamation of the years trips in photographic form.
First on the agenda is Chessington:
Quickly this park seems to be becoming Merlins reject with rides not being added with any haste and those that are there becoming quite old. That said, it cost me nothing to go and its still a fun 6 hours, maybe a couple more if you catch all the animal shows.
As far as coasters go there are a lack of inversions but we have:
Rattlesnake - a ride that surely emphasises Rattle, a wild mouse coaster, this isnt a comfortable ride.
Vampire - its been here a while now but remains a fun ride.
Dragons Fury
It has some fun curves
And remains one of the better spinners I've ridden
Whilst the newest of the lot is a well themed disk-o.
Certainly, as far as themeing gos, Chessington is one of the UKs best... not that it requires much though, to be fair.
The dark rides take the form of a laser shooter which seem to be cropping up everywhere at the moment
With Egyptian styling, a solid ride but nothing special.
...and the Bubbleworks
Cramped boats, weird themeing but ultimatly a fun ride.
Oh yes...
did I mention...
they have animals too,
wet rides,
which look quite nice,
and which look deceptivly dry (trust me, this one isnt a cold weather ride).
and a couple of flats themed to water
A ship you will get me on
and a ship that you won't with any great ease.
Right; well we have park number one.
Ill be back with the second park of the year soon; can anybody guess where we will be going? (Hint: to narrow it down, we stay in Europe)
