I've lived in Orlando my entire life...never been to Busch Gardens...thats pretty sad!! May try to make my first trip out before Feb 1st, just so I can say I got to ride it.

Thats the same thing we me. I drive by it all the time, but I just haven't seen a need to go. I guess I will have to check it out now!!

Lol I thought you were talking about the drug until you explained it was a cruise ship. For a second, I thought this was your reason for going with Carnival. I'm loving this trip report! Never been on a cruise before, but I'll make sure my first one is with Royal Carribean (the name I think? I forgot the name of the cruise line). Yeah no... It's a ship that is basically themed to neon. Everything has neon on it. All of Carnivals ships were like this until a few years ago when they got a new designer. My favorite ship in RCI is Enchantment. I LOVE that ship. It's not too big, or too small, so it is a really good ship for your first cruise!

Here is my opinion on the RCI vs Carnival thing. You get what you pay for. There is no comparison between RCI and Carnival., but RCI is more expensive...most of the time. I like RCI much more than Carnival, but I don't hate Carnival. I live in Orlando, so I do at least one cruise a year, and I've actually done more Carnival than RCI, but it isn't because I like it more. I have been on Ecstasy (the cruise right before your Klassy Kruise, actually), Destiny, and Freedom, and I am going on Sunshine over the summer. I have nothing but good things to say about Carnival, but it is certainly different than RCI or Disney. Also, I'm super jealous that you are on Quantum...it looks amazing!!! I had a friend on the first sailing out of NY, and they LOVED it!!!!

This Anti-Frozen stuff is what totally baffles me. IMO, a real "Disney fan" should be celebrating the fact that Disney Feature Animation has turned itself around from the garbage it's been pumping out over the last ten years Not sure if you don't think I'm happy for Disney, so I'm going to clarify, just in case. I am THRILLED that Disney is making movies of such high quality, and there is no doubting that they have something special with Frozen, I get that. Compared to other movies that Disney has made in the last decade, it is really good. I have just never been that big into the princess movies, so that's why Frozen isn't my thing. And, like I said, I'm not all that happy with the new ride now, but I know that what the make is going to be FANTASTIC, because its coming from a movie with a storyline that is loved by millions of people, so there is no doubt in my mind that they are going to do a great job.

I will be honest and say that I'm not really going to miss Maelstrom as much as I am going to not like having Frozen. That being said, I'm not a huge fan of the movie, so of course I'm not going to want a ride!!! I'll be the first to admit that I am being completely biased about the decision, and I know its stupid because I really didn't care about Maelstrom until like a months ago, and I can't do anything to stop them, so lets just go with the flow. And, props to Disney for seeing the opportunity and taking it, because I know that once the Frozen ride opens, I will probably forget all about Maelstrom, and they will probably (actually, I know they will) do an AMAZING job on the new ride.

I was on the ship like a few weeks before you guys. Left on January 1st, 2012. Had a blast aboard it.... making fun of everything you guys made fun of. Glad i never got the meatloaf. But I did get the Chocolate Melting Cake every night. I think its amazing. It was perfectly cooked the first night but by the 3rd night it was just like soup. It was ok overall. If you want a great carnival cruise try the Carnival Freedom. Or, just forget about carnival all together an go to a cruise line that doesn't make you want to miss the ship (A.K.A. Disney).

Wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
