  5. Hi TPR. "Roller Coasters in the Raw! 6" was released in 2011. Is anything planned along these lines for 2012? Perhaps in time to make festive presents? My RCML could do with a "'Raw! 7" addition. Not sure what coasters you might feature, but here's hoping [CROSSES FINGERS] Simon A.S. Baynham RollerCoasterMediaLibrary.com
  6. Hi TPR. Yes, thanks for your kind emails asking where the CEDAR POINT QUIZ had disappeared to. Truth be told, I deleted it in error during a recent website 'revamp.' It is back up now for you to play. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Now, what topic should be covered in September's Quiz? Maybe I should give the parks and famous names a rest and concentrate purely on the coasters for the next quiz? Simon A.S. Baynham

  10. Hi TPR. This thread makes fascinating reading. I have a collection of officially-released VHSs and DVDs of various coaster/parks programmes both broadcasted, cinema released and enthusiast-produced. You're more than welcome to take a look at my library. Truth be told, not nearly enough TV programmes are offered for sale as DVD/VHS releases... but what are, are probably the best. http://www.rollercoastermedialibrary.com S.A.S. Baynham
  11. There is a book about British Coasters. OK it's circa 1996, but it offers an interesting and humorous look at what us Brits had at the time (Many since lost!) FROM: http://www.rollercoastermedialibrary.com [bOOK 117] A.G. PRESTON: BRITAIN'S GREATEST COASTERS. [1996] (14x21cm - 232 Pages - Many B&W photos). There have been many books written on the history of roller coasters both in the States and in Europe, but none have put forward Britain's best. That is what this publication sets out to do. Also features an interesting introduction: a year -by- year look at roller coaster milestones, from the Russian ice slides of the 16th & 17th Centuries, to 1996 and Megafobia! Chapter Points/Contents: Introduction; How It All Began; PMBO; Nemesis; Shockwave; Ultimate; Grand National; Vampire; Big Dipper; Wild Mouse; Texas Tornado (Morecambe); Cyclone (Southport); The Woodies Fight Back!; Other Sparkling Coasters; European Coasters; The RCCGB; Coaster Manufacturers; My Record; The Future; Coaster Terminology. 12. Hi TPR Andy Shine's JUNE 2012 QUIZ is now ready to play! With the current clearing of Lincoln Park, I thought it would be apt to base this quiz on identifying the locations of lost US & Canadian amusement parks. So, if you KNOW that Bell's, home to the "Zingo" was located in Youngstown, Ohio. And you KNOW that Euclid Beach Park, home to the "Flying Turns," "Derby Racer" and the "Thriller" was located in Louisville, Kentucky. Then you'll do REALLY WELL at this quiz! [LAUGHS] http://www.rollercoastermedialibrary.com Quiz Page > June 2012 Quiz. Share your scores and feel free to PM/email your opinions and comments! Simon A.S. Baynham

  24. Hi TPR ANDY SHINE'S OCTOBER 2011 QUIZ has been uploaded early. This month's theme is rather strange, and I don't think any of you will score 20/20 first time relying on brainpower alone, although common sense and clever elimination will get you a long way. To take this month's challenge click: http://www.rollercoastermedialibrary.com (Quiz Page > October 2011 Quiz) Have Fun! And don't forget to browse the latest roller coaster books and amusement park DVDs. I've just added LAFF IN THE DARK'S programme about Waldameer's 'Whacky Shack' and 'Pirate's Cove' Bill Tracy-designed dark attractions. It was very good and rather amusing. Andy Shine & Simon B
