Well, I can't say that we weren't expecting this. I looks like it's going to be a freaky and fun ride. But, I am surprised that Cedar Point didn't try to install a 400 or 500 foot version of it instead. Oh well, I'm still going to Cedar Point next summer and I'm still going to have fun on this ride.
Cedar Point needs to build the tallest and fasted GCI/B&M hybrid flying multilooper wooden launched coaster that circles the entire park with multiple underwater tunnels.
Well, atleast the GCI part would be amazing, especially if it were their tallest creation yet.
I'm thinking it's just going to be a Wooden Coaster that goes behind wicked twister along the beach.
I doubt there will be a new "boardwalk" theme, even though it would be sweet. I just don't see Cedar Point doing that until they've used all the space they have.
Honestly, I think that "Potterverse" is going to be a huge success and will definitely draw away some of Disney's family crowd. I don't think that the average guest is going to really care if the Potterverse tells a story or not. It has great theming and a couple of great rides. Cedar Point is probably a bad comparison, but none of their rides tell a story... But I do understand if an Enthusiast were to complain or desire more, we expect a lot out of theme parks, and Universal is expected to give a lot.
Coming from a guy whose home park is Six Flags St. Louis, MF blew me away! Holy Crap, airtime is great, but the speed is what I loved about it.
For me, the most overrated coaster is The Raven... It's fun, but I don't know how it ever had world's best ranked wooden coaster...
