  1. My wife and I just moved out to Orlando after getting married last September, still haven't meet any people we can call friends and would love to get to know some folks.
  2. So is this a good thing for the parks that got out of PARC like Elitch Gardens or Darien Lake? I can't help but think it is just so they aren't involved with BLC at all
  3. The biggest reason I'm bummed about it is because it was one of those coasters that got me interested in them in the first place. The book I had when I was 5 had pictures of it and it just intrigued me how it weaved in and out of the trees. I know its not like its the world's best coaster or anything but it didn't need to be for me, the picture of the drop over the lake was way more than enough to make me want to travel across the US to go ride it. I didn't care about any of the other rides there, BBW was just one of those rides I really really wanted to ride. I don't have any room to speak never riding it, but for me it 'looked' amazing. None of the other rides at BGW strike me as 'need to ride' or spend money to go to. Id rather spend money on going to another park with more to offer. Don't get me wrong, BGW has alot to offer but it just doesn't seem worth it anymore now that the rollercoaster that got me interested in the first place is gone.
  4. So far the whole thing just looks crazy professional! Im excited to see how the scenery plays out. Manta itself is pretty cool, but it's queue and surroundings is what sets it apart to me. I couldn't imagine the final product not looking like something you'd buy out of a catalog if it continues to look this great
  5. My home park being Elitch Gardens, lost its luster pretty quickly. Lakeside was in the area but never really considered it my 'home' park. Elitchs definitely got old but Im not sure if that was me or just the lack of size, Lakeside was definitely smaller but I loved it so much more. Working at Elitchs probably made a considerable difference as well, but even on the off days it wasn't really worth driving out to. Even if they weren't as fun as going to a bigger park, Id still rather visit than sit at home
  6. After reading this site for years I finally decided to post. Yay! Been stuck in Colorado all my life, love theme parks just nothing is really there... Worked at Elitchs for two seasons as a ride op, now down in Orlando for a few months! I finally get to ride everything I've read about! I thought the trips looked amazing and thought that it'd be fun to finally start posting and not just watch from the sidelines.
