  1. My first Disney park was Disneyland just a couple of weeks ago. My school gets out early for Christmas and I hope to travel to Florida and visit many parks before the crowds show up.
  2. While waiting in line for the Rattler a guy (late 30's) told his girlfriend "This is one of the last wooden coasters. They do not make wooden coasters anymore." Again in line for Thunderhead a guy told his son "I do not like these old style train cars."
  3. I am happy to hear another coaster coming to Fiesta Texas. Too bad there is another Batman clone in San Antonio already. Texas will have three Batman clones and each one with a different name.
  4. The extra cars are in the garage second floor.
  5. I finally got to Kemah. My cousin, his wife, another friend, and I decided to go to Schlitterbahn Galveston and then go to Kemah after. There was not much of a line, two or three train wait at the most. I was impressed with the coaster, it was fun. Three out of the four of us liked the coaster. It is not in my top five but I have always enjoyed Kemah so I am happy it is there. It would not fit in my trunk.
  6. Ben, That is pretty cool that you are working there for Haunt. Keep an eye out as I should be there that Saturday night.
  7. A friend of mine and I are heading to Haunt on the 29 of September. I have not been in two years and I always look forward to the mazes. Clowns freak me out but I always like the chicks in the vampire maze. Anybody else planning on heading to Haunt on 9/29? -Other Jim
  8. Good PTR Jim. It was a lot of fun going to SW, SFFT, and SFOT and hanging with you and Cassie. I always liked the Rattler but oh well. Thanks again. The other Jim
  9. As soon as I got back from Costa Rica it was off to the UK and the back of the bus. The canopy tour in Jaco was really neat, the waterfall tour is lower to the ground and more informative, the other one was very high and had very long zip lines. There were awesome views of the ocean from the top of the trees and along the lines. Next time I go I am going to go again. They are going to add more elements and it should be better.
  10. Lizards and Iguanas were all over the place in the beach towns. After the rain a lot of lizards would get on the road to warm themselves. At one hotel the iguanas would get on the roofs of the bungalows. It was pretty neat.
  11. My friend and I visited Costa Rica last week and I thought I would do a trip report. We have been there several times and always enjoy our trip there. We visited the little amusement park simply known as: Parque de Diversiones. Most people will tell you when you visit Costa Rica do not waste your time by going to the amusement park and there are a lot of other things to do. I could not pass up a trip to the amusement park. The park is very nice and clean. The proceeds of the park go to the Children's hospital so we do not mind spending time and money there. Entrance to the small park is about $15. They have two big coasters at the park, two water type rides, several flat rides, a drop tower, two small coasters for kids, and some shows. If I go back to Costa Rica I would not mind spending another day at the park. Costa Rica is a great country with many things to do and see. Here are a few things you can do in Costa Rica: rain forest canopy tour (cloud forest), white water rafting, kayaking, mountain biking, hiking, surfing, fishing, nature tour (birds, monkeys, sloths, frogs, and lizards), waterfall tour, butterfly garden, volcanoes, hot springs, hanging bridges, and the most important thing to do in Costa Rica: relax. We spent most of our time on the Pacific coast in Jaco and Tamarindo. Surfing in Tamarindo is very good for beginners and the canopy tour in Jaco was one of the best. The nightlife in Jaco is the best and there are very nice places to eat. I do not know any spanish and I had no problems. My friend Ted knows a little spanish and that does help. We have been to the volcanoes before and we will go back when we decide to take a special female friend. Costa Rica is a great country to visit and we have noticed a slight increase in prices in the last year. I am looking forward to returning soon. I will be out of town for the next two weeks, if you have any questions or comments I will check them when I get back! Enjoy the pictures (sorry not many pictures of the coasters) Time to go surf, later! Hey a monkey! No, it is just Ted on the canopy tour. Biggest slice of Tuna. Pacific Bistro in Jaco. I think it was a $6 slice of tuna, it was huge! here lizard, lizard, lizard A game you will find in any soccer loving country Ted found Burger Park. Sounds like a good theme to me hmmm donut supreme the chicken was pretty good and the prices were very good for an amusement park there are the fish, a bunch of fish a sign about fish, I think. I did not see fish water ride had spray nozzles to make sure you got some mist queue is jungle theme, less than an hour away is a real jungle and awesome waterfalls the ride sign looks fun watch out for the train, it is off the tracks the other coaster noon parade thing, we missed most of it flat spinny ride thing coaster entrance. We were not ready for the picture, poor Ted. Snake is going to eat us! hmmm Vekoma goodness nice little drop tower, good view of the city from the tower. Sorry it is blurry. The signs are in spanish and I cannot read them anyway.

  14. Like most things in life it revolved around chasing some girl. I followed this girl onto Greased Lightnin and I fell in love with the ride, I forgot that girls name. I was 13.
  15. I will miss having the park right in my backyard. I guess I will have to go a few more times before they close the doors forever. I will miss my little slice of fun on loop 610.
