SFGAdv or Cedar Point

As a Gadv fanbuy, I have to admit CP is ALOT better. CP is probably the most well rounded park on the planet, while Gadv has a HUGE lack of flats, water rides, and the right side of the park lacks any sort of themeing. Now with that being said... Gadv's coasters are bada$$. IMO, CP has nothing on El Toro. Gadv also comes with one of the best 5 punches in the coaster world: 1.Kingda Ka 2.El Toro 3.Nitro 4.Green Lantern 5.Bizarro But I still consider CP's collection better. Millie, Top Thrill Dragster, Maverick, Magnum, Mantis, Wicked Twister, Raptor, and Gemini are all great coasters. IMO, I think CP is the better park hands down -
Six Flags Great Adventure trip planning

In spring flash passes aren't needed, but if this was summer or fright fest, that would be a different story -
Green Lantern Update: Recently Flying Phil went on another one of his flyovers and something strange popped up. There are 4 white pieces of track that are apparently for the corkscrews that will remain that way. Weird? I was told there would be surprises in the ride, but this is just puzzling. What do you guys think?

Biggest Disappointment of 2010?
DiveMachine replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think that for many people out there who go to SFGam alot, the chang fiasco was the biggest dissapointment. I'm a Gadv fanboy, and I can't wait to ride it , but all the signs pointed in their direction until late june, and all of a sudden, a rumor pops up on one site, and its taken away. For them, that has to be the biggest dissapointment. I really think the biggest dissapointment, IMO, has to be the Expedition GeForce accident and the long downtime that occured following it -
Plug N' Plays were the greatest achievement, IMO. Intamin really changed the wooden coaster landscape with them. They made wooden coasters that use giga-like cable lifts, 75+ degree drops and provide the craziest airtime on the planet. Oh, yeah... AND their glass smooth! The fact that a woodie is being compared to a modern day steel coaster in terms of smoothness is an achievement in itself! I've heard coaster enthusiasts say that El Toro's airtime actually made them sick! The fact that other parks haven't taken one look at El Toro, Balder, T Express or Colossos and called Intamin is truly baffeling. Another honorable mention is Shapiro saving SF is up there because of the long odds of it happening with the debt and everyone writing them off

IN IT'S FINAL YEAR!!! I've always found it to be an amazing coaster, from the first time I stepped in it in 2008. It was a truly great experience and a kick ass coaster each of the 3 times I waited 1 hr. that day. But thats just my $.02 I went to BGE 3 times in 2008 and the line was always 45min. or more every single time I went on. When people think a coaster is amazing and thought that it kicked ass, and it's about to be taken away, people will want to ride that coaster one more time to bring back old memories or say goodbye. I know I went to Gadv at least 3 times before July 1st(GASM's rumored closing date) and about 6 times between then and the actual closing date. Why would I do that? I thought GASM was a great coaster, and I wanted to get a lot of last rides in before I would never see it again. Am I crazy for doing that? Maybe, but I know I wasn't the only one. Its like what people did with BBW. They loved it and went back to ride it one last time or in some cases for the first time because they wanted to ride it at least once in their life.

El Toro was FLYING, Nitro was still a smooth, airtime filled ride, B:TR was running o.k, and Bizarro was running well except for the speakers(Crackling sound, audio not in sync/starting over, etc.) Ka's launch is great, but overall B:TR in the backrow is more forceful. Really with ka, you just have to get over the hill. The second I was at the bottom the the tophat I felt alot better and got right back in line

Just got back from the park and Nitro lift seems a little louder, but not that much Also, Bizarro's audio was glitching ALOT today. You could barely hear the audio over the crackling of the speaker, and at the top, the audio started itself over until the Zero-G roll when it looked like it was back in sync. El Toro was FLYING today! El Toro was packing more airtime(never thought I would say that) and seemed faster than anytime I've ever ridden it(aka: alot)! The lines really picked up at 2pm and by the time I left(about 5pm) Nitro had gone from a walkon in the morning to a 45 min wait EDIT: I forgot to say that groundwork has begun on Green Lantern
