It kinda does makes since if you all think about it looking at the additions Kentucky Kingdom had from 2000-2003 and look in to it. Where Greezed Lighting stands today is were the impulse coaster was supposed to be located. It fits perfect, and is located at the right area of the park for that rides height limit at 180ft. Six Flags took the impulse coaster out of Kentucky Kingdom for 2000, but decided to put a wild mouse in the park instead since they had a open area to fill in the park. The X-flight coaster was meant to go behind Chang/picnic area. A year later they did the same to x flight, relocating it to SFO in 2001. Then in 2002 4 other flats in Kentucky Kingdom were relocated to SFO for a new section of the park. BTW, no one from a dippin dots team member told me this, its people who had word in this park since Ed Hart days. but we all know... you cant open a park with 4 or 5 new coasters that takes years to plan in less than a year!

Yes It is also rumored/confirmed by former employees who worked at Kentucky Kingdom for years, that Six Flags relocated Superman The Ultimate Escape, and X flight to Six Flags World of Adventure in 2000/2001/2002 to compete with Cedar Point at SFWOA. Both coasters were paid for and meant to go into Kentucky Kingdom on its own profit the park made. 3 kids rides and 1 major flat ride was taken from Kentucky Kingdom and put into Six Flags Worlds of Adventure in 2002 to compete with Cedar Point. Tea Cups Star Castle Voyager Jester Juice Bugs Thriller Bees Those former employees told me that the rides were relocated because Six Flags didn't want to compete Kentucky Kingdom with Kings Island.

It's easy to say that when you are spending someone else's money. It's safe to assume that if SFI was given $50 from the fair board to improve the park, they would have added some major attractions... When you said, "it's easy to say that when your spending someone else's money", thats like when Six Flags took Kentucky Kingdom's money in the late 1990s/early 2000s and used it somewhere else. If SFI was given $50 from the fair board, I bet the park may still be the same way it was when the park closed.

Do you think Twisted Twins would have 100% retracking and 100% new sturcture if the ride never went SBNO? it only been about 3 years now since this ride has been closed. In my opinion, none of us actually knows what the twins looks like up close. You got to get behind the gates/fence for that. I don't think the ride highly needs restructuring, but it does need alot of retracking. This ride however doesn't need those prototype trains that are at SFSTL. Most people is making it seem like this ride been closed for decades, buts its been 2-3 years... just saying.

The ride has to be relocated to be in operation with the park. Remember, Ed Hart is given back 15 acres to the KFEC. Greezed Lighting is one of those rides that is located in the 15 acres. Every single ride on those acres will be relocated to the larger side of the park. And Rob, I agree with you, but I'm sure Ed already knows. Greezed Lighting is like the finest Schwarzkopf left in my opinion.

its hasn't been fully confirmed about relocation or what ever, but Ed Hart did say he plans to keep all of the rides and coasters at the park a couple of months ago. Also, the Kentucky Kingdom Redevelopment Facebook Site had mention this coaster in one of their polls asking guest about their favorite attractions. All of the main attractions were including in the survey/poll such as Greezed Lighting, Giant Wheel, Thunder Run, Mile High Falls... but, twisted twins was not. http://apps.facebook.com/polldaddy-polls/?view=poll&id=3880022

I would really hate to see Twisted Twins go. That coaster in my opinion was the best coaster in the park with the most airtime. If that coaster goes it would be like 2 more coasters leaving, and I'm also sure Ed Hart doesn't want to see any more COASTERS and RIDES leaving this park. But anything could happen between now and the day the park opens. There's already been 1 or 2 changes already. btw, it will be 5 coasters. Thunder Run T2 Roller Skater New Coaster For 2011? Greezed Lightin (the ride will be moved to the other side of the park)

Source? heres your source. He said it many times here in louisville on our local news that he's turning in the land inside ring road to the fair board and he relocating the rides from inside ring road to the larger side of the park. http://www.whas11.com/news/local/Plan-in-place-to-get-Kentucky-Kingdom-back-up-and-running-in-Louisville-102632059.html

I really don't believe the park is going to be all waterpark! maybe next season, but thats it! This is just the start. The waterpark right now is smaller than your average waterpark. Ed Hart is just turning the waterpark to your average size waterpark. The small side of the park will nolonger be open, and the way it sounds it will never be open again. All the rides from the smaller side will be relocated to the larger park. After 2011, bring on the rides and major coasters.

The park isn't really a factor during the Kentucky State Fair. The Kentucky Fair and Expo Center has North American Midway Rides at the fair every year. Those rides are set up right next to Kentucky Kingdom each year during the fair near Kentucky Kingdom main entrance, or on the side of the park. There really is no point of the park being closed during the fair don't you think while you have other rides operating beside it and you can be making some money. No one really goes to Kentucky Kingdom because we all have the whole summer to go their and we all wouldn't wont to pay money to ride a ride we can ride for free not during the fair. Most of us all go to the North American Midway to ride rides that we only can ride once a year.
