Is there any news on the Planet Snoopy makeover? With all this talk of I305 I haven't heard a thing about it.

Is it possible that they're going to test out I305 without OTSR first to see whether it's safe? They could always add them later.

I had to laugh today when I went to visit my 80-year-old obese grandmother with manic depression and dementia and she asked me, "when are you going to take me to ride the ferris wheel and the "giggy giggy" coaster at Kings Dominion?" Apparently she's been watching the local news lately!

On CoasterCrew's "In The Loop" podcast tonight, John Pagel (KD's PR guy) clarified the OTSR issue. As posted on KDFansite: Sounds like good news!

Anyone know how tall that second hill is? It looks like almost half as tall as the lift hill...

Congratulations on getting it right! I definitely thought you had the right idea when I saw it! Hmmmm.... I wonder why the model has 4-across seating. Maybe this was the initial model before they settled on the design for the trains? Or is it possible that the trains could be different from the renderings?

According to someone at KDFansite who was at the park for the announcement, Brian Mitchell asked Mr. Kinzel for clarification on the restraints to be used, and he responded that the animations are wrong and that no OTSR will be used on the ride. I'm not sure if I believe that or not though...

Yes, that is my understanding.

^The announcement will be made Thursday, not Friday. Then the REAL speculation can begin.

Does anyone know if KD is usually crowded on Fridays? I'll probably be going up this Friday (the 14th) and I'm hoping that I don't have to brave the crowds too much.

Over at KDFansite they said that the Eiffel Tower is 332 feet tall.

I still haven't forgiven KD for this. Even if they lost the rights to use Yogi Bear, they could have put in just a little bit more effort and come up with something more clever than "Treasure Cave."

All the UFO talk on KD's twitter doesn't necessarily mean that the new coaster is going to be space-themed. A couple months ago there was a supposed UFO sighting at KD (link) and KD has been making tongue-in-cheek comments about it since. That doesn't mean it's not a possibility, but I don't think KD's tweets necessarily provide hard evidence of how the new coaster will be themed.
