  1. I love those pics of the new Yankees Stadium. I see they switched from Coke to Pepsi. Yay for me! Not so good for those who like Coke. I would never pay those prices they are asking for the field level seats. I'm glad they brought the prices down some, but they are still ridiculous. I'd much rather sit in the bleachers and be part of the roll call. As a die-hard Yankee fan, it pains me to see those pictures of the old stadium like that. I am still in shock that they didn't convert it into a museum but I guess all good things must come to an end.
  2. Knoebels does allow you to bring your dog on the Pioneer Train. Even more incredible is they will allow you to bring Fido onto the antique cars as well. Isn't there a second new kiddie ride? It is on the website as "Goin Buggy" and looks like it is shaped like ladybugs. My theory for the large crowd is that none of the parks in the vicinity were open today. Hershey was also packed a few weeks ago for springtime in the park. I'm going to Knoebels next Saturday and I hope the crowds calm down.
  3. Do you ride only coasters at the parks or do you ride flats too? Because GAdv has virtually no flats whereas CP has a ton of them. Just something else you may want to consider. I prefer CP because it is a much more balanced park.
  4. Awesome pictures! I am making my first trip to KD this year and am almost as excited to ride Americana as I am to ride Dominator. The placement seems pretty perfect as you can get views of every part of the park.
  5. This jogged my memory that the Bumper Boats also came from Rocky Glen Park.
  6. The story I heard about the Paradrop is that Dorney bought it and had it in storage for about a year or so. It never operated there. So even though Knoebels bought it "second-hand" they were the first ones to actually operate the ride. I believe the second wooden roller coaster that was moved is the Skyliner at Lakemont Park that was originally at Roseland Park. And I learned from this thread this is the same park where the Spanish Bambini came from, pretty neat!
  7. One of my home parks in Knoebels which I visit multiple times a year. I have always admired how they are able to buy, spruce up, and give new life to classic rides. What I am interested in knowing is how many other parks rides have made a permanent home at Knoebels. The best example is Phoenix from Playland Park, others I am aware of are The Satellite being originally at Kennywood, and the Antique cars are from a defunct park 15 minutes away from me, Rocky Glen Park. Does anyone know where any of the other second hand rides have come from? Thanks!
  8. Hello everyone! My name is April and I am from PA. My home parks are Dorney, Knoebels, and Hershey. I look forward to being a part of the TPR community.
