  1. I'm going to have to voice my demand for WCB 2014 this year, i attended the last 3 and had the best time, so sad when it was time to go..... but an update for dates for sf-mm WCB 2014 would be appreciated , love the fact that they added the dinning pass option for sf-mm season pass for $100, but 2 meals each visit if you live local well worth it, you could go while flat broke and your still set. but please, WCB 2014 updates for dates please. West Coast Bash 2014!!!!! whoooooh whoooooo!!! ps what is Neal's last name at sf-mm park operations supervisor, i would like to approach sf-mm about going solar and running the idea for covering the entire parking lot with solar and giving shade, my company would do the installation for free, and in turn become their main power provider. also if anyone else reading this is interested in solar in Southern California, feel free to inquire with me and I'll give you the contact info waiting impatiantly for West Coast Bash information, Greg.
  2. so any word on a media day for wind seeker or any special activities for TPR? I'm guessing about 8-10 rides before i get bored.
  3. First of all welcome back, haven't seen you in a while. Also, does this mean that Panda Express, Ben & Jerry's, the M&M Porium, and Wii Experience could also vanish? Plus, I know a lot of people ride Yosemite Sam's Sierra Falls, especially during the summer, and a majority of those people including me (who's consider a light weight) emerge from the ride soaked. Well going off topic here for a bit, but at Disney's California adventure for food when I think California I think in-n-out, not McDonald's (craptastic 1500 calorie meals, where the food isn't even good, its all marketing, besides McDonald's is world wide) ok said my peace. Thanks for the reminder coasterking908 on Facebook . Well SFMM financial planning worked because now I'm going to have to go check out the changes in the park next time we do WCB 2011
  4. And it's rumored that some food locations will also go such as: - Johnny Rockets - Papa Johns - Mrs. Fields (SFOT location already gone) - TCBY (SFOT location already gone) - Coldstone Creamery Sweet they can finally shed johnny rockets at SFMM, and hopefully put in an In and Out and finally get fresh and delicious burgers in the park just the way we like.
  5. ok they finally chained the first set of switchbacks, yet they havent fixed the overly red hue of the tv last part of the swithbacks.... errrg painful to look at the waits about 30 mins hold on it broke down, mantainance is on the track, im waiting for it. ok test train just ran and stoped on the brake run for a bit, then another ran, well see
  6. i say build a wodden coaster, theme it to smurfs, fire blue paintballs at the train not hitting any riders of'course, and theme the train to gargamels cat (whos name evaids me at the moment)! what color does a smurf turn when you choke it?
  7. ^ way to go i do the same thing, a little consideration for the next rider, usualy will speed things up for everyone, as for vandalism goes the restraint checkers should really visualy check each speaker as each car passes pulling in to the station, once every thing is visualy OK give the ride opp the signal to release the restraints, and bust the GP thats damaging the experiance for the rest of us, granted polk audio speakers are about $89 a pair, but they dont install them selves
  8. I agree with the others that if there is no "official single rider line" set up, you're just trying to cut the line and would wind up looking like a douchebag to other people who waited in the entire queue for their ride. My solution? Go to a TPR event (like Termination Day) where there will be no lines and get your fill of rides in then! --Robb i'm signed up and paid, I.....Can't.....Wait!!! I went sat. sun. mon.
  9. well it wouldn't be waiting by the exit though! you would exit as normal walk around the building and up the stairs next to the que stairs that my wife and i used when we child swaped
  10. most your stuff states your a producer, so what does that en-detail, do you have your hands on a developer kit for PS3? do you think that a couple of rubber flaps overlaping from between one car to the other on the train of terminator the ride would be feasable to help deaden the track noise funnaling up between the cars of the train canceling out the sounds from the speakers? like i posted in the terminator thread. who would i talk to at sfmm to throw a few ideas around? and possibly get employed doing such. no education past high school, self taught electronics creator( simple stuff like the craftsman hat with the LEDs "I" created the original one when i was working "02" HAUNT at KBF i still have the original granted it wasn't built as nice), outside of the box thinker
  11. would anyone else find it amusing if terminator salvation the ride's onboard audio soundtrack was the song from "the real mccoys" title "run away (1995)" on a side note' i wonder if once i waited in the que to board the ride, if i asked the station seat assigner if i could wait to re-ride is a single rider on stand-by after my ride if i walked out the stations exit around the building and up the stairs on the other side? if that would be breaking park rules i.e. line cutting if the attendant was ok with it, since i did wait in line, and no need to send the train out with an empty seat. i would be counted buy the turnstile every ride. Just wondering??? Robb, your thoughts??
  12. use what ever route you are comfortable with you can save gas, save time or save the headache, but now you have your choice to make, all these are really good sugestion, as a driver covering the area la to the arizona and nevada borders and san diego to bakersfield i use them all. my advice is, your travel time to the 5/405 will be 1.25-1.5 hrs. what time are you leaving? do your research! look at traffic sites, view the fwys on various routes you might take, estimate what times you might hit the areas where traffic is the heaviest, and plan acording to that. so you can pass through with minimal traffic i am one of the few that doesent mind being contacted directly i can view the traffic info in my phone on the fly, feel free to contact me the area between the 91 all the way to the 10 along the 5 fwy is horible during rush hour times, alt option leave the night before get a (hotel, motel, holiday inn) room in the area, and arrive refreshed and without hitting the traffic
  13. i like terminator salvation the ride! It almost simulates my driving when evaiding T-600's
  14. i recommend this also, check your cell phone if you have google maps(shows traffic) i drive as a messenger for a living where the 5 meet the 60 it drops from 3 lanes to 2 and the 60 merges into those 2 lanes shortly after, you can amagine how this affects traffic especially high volumes of it. once you pass the 10 fwy your drive will be flying after me personally i would leave super early go straight there using the 5 bypass all the traffic (la traffic starts to form after about 6:30-7am weekdays) take a nap in the pre parking lot while you wait for parking to open usually 9am and the park opens an hour and a half after that. but thats just me i don't care where i sleep
