It was stated that the supports were going to be silver. I hope it stays that way.

Yeah they should have, but if the coaster opens late it will be the first new attraction I'll have seen not open on opening day. KP does try very hard to always have stuff up and running by opening day. We shall see. I'm a bit worried to hear that footers will be done by the end of the year so the steel can go in in January. Let's hope nothing gets delayed because at that tight schedule they can't afford to.

^ I might if I get a chance over Thanksgiving. I think we have ourselves a name and a logo finally. The name is ok. I really like the logo.

10pm for regular crowds. 11pm for busy days. Almost every time I went this summer they announced the closing time throughout the park sometime in the afternoon.

Yesterday I was able got to say good-bye to the Turnpike and got my last ride on it. Throughout the course of the ride there are some large trees with caution tape tied around them. I've been told that those are trees that will hopefully be saved. I'm so glad they are making the effort to preserve the entrance environment as best they can.

From KPConnection: All very very good news. The trees are such a vital aspect of that area of the park, especially since most are original to the Turnpike, so that's 44+ year old trees. The general coaster site. The midway which will be removed for the station and queue. The general station area.

Well I'm confused by the track type too because the promo video uses two totally different kinds, so I just went with Premier's standard track.

Something I threw together to try to help visualize the ride. Now i know it's not perfect, but I did my best by seeing how the layout was in the promo video (which was pretty bad to start with). The ending was the hardest part to figure out. The model is the correct height and speed. Premier.nltrack Remember, this is totally my interpretation. I'm sure it has a handful of flaws.

That's just a horrible rendidtion. I mean it's not even custom supports. Garbage. C'mon KP, you can do better than THAT.

^I was think the launch stretch counted as a block too. guess not. Yes, Phantom's Revenge did run one train it's first season. i also waited 2+ hrs. evertime I rode it....not cool.

With a mid course break and a final break run, I don't see why they can't have three trains. I really hope the park has a plan to keep the line moving.

Compare to Wicked at Lagoon. Very similar layouts. Kennywood's will just be a little shorter, a little slower, a little longer, a couple more inversions, and a completely flat launch stretch. Looks pretty good to me. Very fitting for the park.

Hmm, well keeping the hopes up for something really good still.
