  1. The idea of 'The Dump Place' is where you show screens of some of your work, but you put them in here because you're not ready to create a topic for the park itself.
  2. Ahh. Thanks for bumping this back up for me. I couldn't find it. I have got more done, but not enough for another screenshot yet. I'll copy my latest post from CF...
  3. If you're referring to me there, I tend to use the GeeWhzz bench with a few of my own modifications. As for the download of that park above, here is the link: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=1PV2BW0D
  4. The made it seem like he was. I apologise if he wasn't.
  5. It's definatly being scrapped. There's no chance of a second life. Erik works for Vekoma, I think he might have a bit more knowledge than you on this subject. Ok. I'll bet you a few hundred pounds if you want. I wouldn't say things like that if I wasn't certain. http://www.coasterforce.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=22932&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=70 Ian from CF has already contacted Alton Towers about it. Next time, try to read up on a few things before trying to make me look like a douche. Thanks.
  6. I don't have the guides yet, but I get complimented on my custom rides quite a lot, so I thought about making guides on how to do them. Basically, if there are enough people that will use them, I'll start to take requests on what people want to make. Here are some of my Screaming Swings that I've made as well. This was the first custom ride I ever made; I made it in January this year. I got bored of this park though, so if anyone wants to download it, send me a PM and I'll send you the unfinished version. Here is my more recent attempt at a Screaming Swing. I didn't make anything apart from the actual custom ride. Someone else wanted it doing in their park, and asked me to do it for them.
  7. It's definatly being scrapped. There's no chance of a second life.
  8. Does it? I've never had a thrilling ride on corkscrew (a headache however...) and certainly never find myself amazed by the abundance of airtime it has to offer, nor the painful entry to the mediocre inversions. It does what it's supposed to in that it's now a transition rollercoaster from things like Spinball or smaller to things like Nemesis and Oblivion. I'm willing to bet that most people who live in England, and went to Alton when they were young, have Corky as one of, or even their first inverting rollercoaster. And maybe you're on about a different ride altogther, but the Corkscrew that I ride at least twice a month, usually more, has very strong airtime on the first hill, no matter where you sit on the train.
  9. Yeah, I know, but that's not what I'm trying to address. I'm asking why people think it's a bad ride. It does everything it's supposed to...so how can it be a bad ride? You individually might not like it, but that doesn't make it a bad ride.
  10. Sorry, but I need to ask this. What's with all the Corky hating? It's still a fantastic ride if you ask me. It has airtime, inversions, and it offers a quick thrill. It does exactly what it's supposed to, and it does it well. I can see why people don't like the experience of it, but you can't say it's a bad ride, because it's a fantastic ride...if that makes sense...You can call it a bad experience when you went on it, but the ride itself is good because it does what it's supposed to. Like I personally don't like Nemesis, but I still know that it's a fantastic ride.
  11. SonOfBeast. TheBeast trainer is for RCT1. SonOfBeast trainer is for RCT2.
  12. If anyone's interested, I'm organising a meet-up on the 9th on Coasterforce to say goodbye... It really saddens me that it's going. In my opinion, it's easily the 2nd best coaster at Alton (Behind Oblivion. Nemesis is crap in my opinion, and Air/Rita are good, but beaten by Corky). I guess I'll have to head north to VekomaLand for my Corky needs from now on.
  13. Thanks I was just wondering, if I were to make guides on how to make custom rides (So far I can make Afterburners, Screaming Swings and Sky Swats, as well as the easy stuff like Topple Towers and things like that), who would use them here? I can also make guides on how to hack different tracks together, and pretty much anything else.
  14. Doesn't that already come like that in the game though?
  15. I don't like it very much. There's not much to look at and keep me interested. There's no theming, buildings or anything, and don't say to me "Oh, they didn't have theming in the 1920s", because I'm pretty sure they had buildings at least. Oh, and don't forget to landscape. It will look loads better. Anyway, I hope that this carries on, because I'm interested in how this turns out.
  16. All I can say about Nemesis is don't go on it expecting it to be one of the best in the world, otherwise I think it'll disappoint you. I can see why people think it's a good coaster, but I just come off it expecting so much more. Maybe it's cos I've got the Season Pass this year, and I've just recently been to DisneySea, but if you go to Alton expecting something like you see in other countries, it really is average. For England, it's a fantastic park still, but it's outshined by a lot of other parks in Europe, never mind about the rest of the world. The Flume is just rubbish and painful, Duel is good, but a bit lengthy, and Hex I'll give you. I still think Hex is a fantastic ride after riding it at least 20 times this year. And for the above average coaster line up...where? It has what many people consider to be one of the worst Accelerators, a Maurer Sohne clone, what many people consider to be THE worst Flyer, a one trick pony (Oblivion), a powered coaster that barely makes it round the track, and Nemesis, which I think is crap. Personally, I think Oblivion and Hex are the only two above average rides at Alton. The Dung Heap is always a bit of fun though.
  17. Really? How?? Ultimate is interesting. But the rest of the park was totally forgettable. I didn't mind Lightwater Valley, but I would never put it in the same class as Alton Towers. Simply for The Ultimate. It's so unlike anything else you'd ever experience anywhere else in the world. Alton is just your average run of the mill park in my eyes. I mean, Nemesis is rubbish, Rita is ok at best, Air is good, but not brilliant, and Oblivion is fantastic. But then, you can find parks in America with rides which are pretty similar, but then do everything better than their Alton Towers counterparts. Lightwater Valley and The Ultimate doesn't have that problem.
  18. Thanks everyone. I've got a few other projects that I'm working on at the moment (I can show pictures of them as well if people want), so there won't be very frequent updates on this, but as soon as I think I've got something worth posting, I'll be here. I'm going to Alton again on Wednesday, so I'll probably have a bit more inspiration for this after that.
  19. Yes. I'd say Lightwater Valley at least is as Essential as Alton Towers is.
  20. Sorry to bump this back up, but I noticed noone has mention Lightwater Valley, Flamingo Land, or Fantasy Island. I believe all three are worth a trip to. Lightwater Valley has the Ultimate, and it's not too far from Flamingo Land, so if you were quick, you could probably squeeze them both in a day. Fantasy Island is an essential - As long as all their rides are working. Jubilee Odyssey is by far my favourite coaster in the UK, and they have a very impressive range of flats.
  21. Starting this back up. I'm also calling out to Brits who can play Rct to give me a hand with some of it. So far, I've got about half of Towers Street and Air done. Although I'm not sure if I put Air in the right place. D:
