The only 2 rides that are six flags is able to keep from Kentucky kingdom, is chang and the mouse coaster. You can read about it here.... http://louisville.bizjournals.com/louisville/stories/2010/07/26/story2.html?b=1280116800%5E3696121 Not sure about 10 flats going to the park, but they already have several flats sitting unused right now.

Magic mountain can't even get a tilt a whirl. What makes you think they are going to get one of these? Does look like fun though. -
Track Spottings!

Just a crazy idea, but I did hear that a few pieces of chang were damaged during transportation. Is it possible, that this is just replacement pieces for chang? -
Today we have a few shots of the disaster transport and corkscrew ride operations book, and a special treat. I can't say what it is from, but your more than welcome to guess. Enjoy... The disaster transport s.o.p guide One of the pages inside. This page shows the ridership of the ride over the years. The layout of the ride. The corkscrew s.o.p book. Ride diogram. The corkscrews ridership. Now what I have here is a blueprint. What the blueprint is for, is anyones guess.....execept for me because I know...lol

Today I have an idelwild park map from about 5 years ago. The park has not changed much if any in 5 years. I have an old booklet from holiday world as well. I also included a few park books. I have one from paramounts kings island, and another from six flags. The six flags book is cool, because it has every ride listed from every six flags park. You check them off as you ride them. You can even rate them and put down what you thoght of the ride. I think they still sell these in the parks. Idlewild park. Park map....not much has changed. Holiday world 2004 Hours and rules. A six flags check list book. Back of book. I got this book after cedar fair took over the park. They were almost giving these away. Back of book.

I rode str, and was disappointed. There is a void in the park, ever since the got rid of white water landing. The new ride gets you soaked, you can't pick where you want to sit, it's a boring ride, the whole mess with the height restriction left a bad taste in my mouth as well. If you want to get soaked, go on snake river falls, or thunder canyon. Where is the option of going on a water ride and not having to ring your clothes out? I (and many other people), would like to go on a water ride and just get splashed, and not soaked. Just enough to cool you off. Just because it's a water ride, does not mean that you have to get soaked. Log flumes are very popular rides at almost every park you go to. I went on a east coast trip last year, and the weather was in the upper 80's. The rapids rides had maybe a 10 min wait, while the log rides had up to an hour wait. That was what I had seen from 9 different parks on the same trip. The only reason I know this, is because we went on most of the log flume rides. -

Dark Ride Layouts?
thrillrider replied to Intimidator305's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Speaking of dark rides, does anyone know what park this dark ride is from? http://www.italintl.com/detail_page.php?record_id=1059 -
Today has been a crazy day, so not much has been posted. I do have a letter that was sent to me about 8 years ago from conneaut lake park. I had contacted the park about info, and they sent me a letter and booklet. I am still looking for the booklet, but here is the letter. I love small parks like this. There is not one large corporate park out there, that would invite you into there office to say hi.

I would do delgrosso first and eat lunch before you leave, and then spend the rest of the day at lakemont. -

Lakemont and Delgrosso Tips?
thrillrider replied to Capitalize's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yea, lakemont has just the typical park food...nothing special about the food. The rides at lakemont that you gotta hit is most of them. Rides like the twister and sky diver are hard to find anymore. You also have to remember that they now charge extra to ride leap the dips. Not much though, and you get a special ticket. You can get thru this park in a couple of hours. The skyliner coaster is very under rated. Delgrosso is a cute little park. We did not get the all you can ride, because most of the rides they have, you can ride almost anywhere else. We got enough tickets to ride the coaster, indoor himalaya, and one more spinny ride. The food is killer. You have to eat the pasta. You can also buy bottles of the sauce on your way out. It's half the price of what it is in the stores. You can get thru this park in just over an hour. -

I think the problem the ride has, is it's location. That area of the park is typically a ghost town. If the ride were in another location, I am sure it would do better. -
Lemonade and cedar point.

Yea, it was pretty low. But the outcome is great. -
I don't know why, but this story has stuck with me. There is a little girl in pontiac Michigan that has a lemonade stand. Well, the other day, some teenagers stole all her money she was saving. A local news station heard about this, and gave her a trip to cedar point. Wait until you see how she reacts. Watch it here.... http://www.wxyz.com/dpp/news/region/oakland_county/even-after-thieves-strike-lemonade-stand%2C-summer-will-be-sweet-for-pontiac-girls

Ok, here is part 2 of day 1 at magic kingdom. Like I mentioned above, I had brought the wrong camera, so the pictures I took this day were not the best. Good thing the line was short. I remember waiting in the line a few years ago. I love the waterfall gag on the first hill. It freaked my daughter out the first time she went on. It's a great mine train coaster. Great theming. The coaster snakes in between the canyons. More theming. The ride has a duel loading station. Here is the section of track that swiches. Next, we took the train to toontown. Even the train has scenery to look at. Mickeys house. Minnies house. Barn stormer coaster. More on this when I have my other camera. Even toon town was decked out for halloween. Tea cups. Back into tommarowland, we pass the speedway. And some great landscaping as well. This garbage can moves around and talks to you. I really like this ride. Disneyland took there version out. The theater for carousel of progress. The next few pictures, are of the differant scenes in the show. We had dinner reservations soon, so we decided to hit all the dark rides in fantasyland. They were walk ons for the most part. The station for snow white. The ride vehicle. I was able to snag a few shots of the ride. He is about to do her. The attention to detail is amazing. Look at the celing at the gift shop right next to snow white. Time to cash in those fast passes for peter pan. A few of the scenes. You fly over a city. It was dinner time.Tonight we picked the liberty tree inn to eat at. Can you guess witch one is goofy? After dinner, the lights started comming on, and it was almost time for the fireworks. Pretty..... We had time for a quick ride on pooh. The ride vehicle A few shots. One last shot from pooh. Fireworks time. I really like this show. When I was at disneyland, they only have this show once an a while. I am glad they do the show everynight here. Yes, we did make it back to see the tiki room. More pictures of this later. That's it for our first day at the magic kingdom. Tommarow, we hit animal kingdom.
