  1. I did notice that the in many cases it wasn't the ride ops fault of the slow load times, but rather the passengers. Those lose item boxes seemed to be the biggest hindrance to load time. I didn't seem to notice any lockers outside surprisingly which I figure might help even if the were not mandatory to use. But at best from what I noticed there was a train on the lift, one moving into the station and one entering the brakes after the water splash. The ride ops seemed to be rather tired and sluggish most of Friday, almost as if they were out of shape. I would assume to some point the loading times will improve throughout the year as there are more repeat guests and the ride ops "get in shape" and learn to deal with guests better.
  2. Thats me in the red on the last seat of the train on Vortex. As for DB...eh. I is a good ride don't get me wrong, but I didn't find it to be all that special. The air was all right, but it seems rather weak. Still one of the best rides in the park, but its near the bottom of my list of all the hypercoasters out there (that list includes Ragin bull, Nitro, S:RoS NE & SFA,the cedar point rides, Steel Force and maybe another one or two). Just my two cents. BTW, did any one else notice some vibration on the ride especially at the tops and bottoms of the hills? It wasn't bad but it seems to be worse than most B&M coasters. Watching the wheels, I could see them bouncing around a bit. Also I know the ride and crew are new, but when I was there on the 24th they were consistently stacking all three trains with 6 people checking restraints. For a ride that according to RCDB has a 3 min cycle, 6 ride ops (they only had to check 5.3 restraints each with no seat belts) I found that to be a little extreme.
  3. ^I did that. Just follow the link in the first post and see that I found that one all ready . It would be incredibility difficult to figure out the velocity bassed of that chart, though it could be done. I was looking for one with more than the height and magnitude of the acceleration. Velocity would be the idea thing that I need. I still remember one from a few years back. I don't know, I must be thinking that I saw it.
  4. Well I would try writing, but I very much so doubt that they would provide any data...much less by Monday when I need to start work on the project. I know that I've seen a real detailed (and clean looking) profile around about two years ago, but I just can't seem to find it anymore. Also, I'm well aware of RCDB...but I also know that it doesn't have the velocity of a roller coaster in relation to the duration of the roller coaster.
  5. I'm looking for an analysis for Millennium Force for the speed, height and g-force , all related to the ride time. I need this for a class. I know that I've seen them posted around on the net someplace, but after searching for a good while, I have only yielded one result (located at the end of my post) and that doesn't provide velocity. I would have to make some rather big assumptions to solve the problem that I need to do. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Also, if you guys have any for other rides I would be interested in seeing them too, but thats only because I'm a nerd. Thanks. smg.photobucket.com/albums/v676/Mikel30/?action=view&current=mfdata.gif
  6. I think that this is a plausible thing to do. Busch might have wanted floorless trains for the ride when it opened, but maybe B&M at the time did not have the floor mechanism for the station ready. Thinking about it, to me at least, would be the most difficult part of the entire design. The floors that would come up would be close to twice the length of what the previous systems uses. The way these larger floors will come up seem to more complicated than previous floorless design. Now if that is true, they might have just added some more hardware to the trains that would be simple enough to remove if they ever did go to a floorless design. Just looking at some pictures of the trains, it appears as if the floor isn't really integrated that much into the trains. To sum up, I can completely see them doing this if it would only mean adding the station floor and modifying the trains, as that seems much more reasonable than getting entire new trains. Here you can see how the floor appears to be only an extra part of the train.
  7. I'm not sure if you have ever ate at Boma's at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, but it is a must. If you ask for the Chef and tell him how great his food is, he will make you this... and a plate full of deep fried oreos...yumm. Not to mention it is an all you can eat buffet. With all of the other great food, no one left hungry...or with the ability to walk. The best RIBS and Shrimp ever!!!
