The way I see it with the pre show is that if your already gonna spend more than 10 minutes in a queue for the ride, why not spend part of it in a well themed room with entertainment? I highly doubt that anytime in the near future are we gonna see wait times for terminator less than 10 minutes. I don't think the preshow is gonna add that much unnecasary wait, besides isn't the little extra wait worth it for a kick a$$ GCI? And Jew, I agree with you that they should be able to just keep the show on a loop as long as the crew keeps the right pace, however that only works in a perfect world and that's not always the case.

In regards to those photos, I love them! They are pictures that you normaly wouldn't see and I think it's great to see different angles and views of a ride that aren't the norm! As far as Six Flags getting the rights, I think it's cause the terminator franchise was sold to warner brothers ( please correct me if Im wrong!) And isn't Six Flags affiliated with warner bros some way?

^^ I highly disagree that disney isn't an every year destination. Disney thrives on the locals and the annual pass holders. In fact the annual pass that I have brings me to the park upwards of once a month, and everytime I'm there I could easily spend upwards of a couple hundred dollars, but probably average about 100 dollers a visit. Thats big buisness if you add up all the annual pass holders! I can see a family going to Walt Disney World once in a lifetime if they live thousands of miles away because a week at WDW with a family of four gets pricey. But what about all the people who live in a few hundred miles radius who just spend a weekend at the resort? I live about a hundred miles from Disneyland and I'm frequently there for the weekend. If Disney had the mindset that families only come once in a lifetime then they wouldn't be as big as they are today.

TPR's Termination Day! Sunday, June 28th, 2009

Hey Robb, does the $35 include park addmision for the day or is it $35 on top of the normal ticket price? Thanks! -
To be honest I think that Disneyland resort in CA would be the best canidate for another main gate (atleast for America, I can't speak for overseas) even though they are expanding/revamping DCA. It makes sense to me to make both Disney destinations in the states week long destinations. Disney Orlando is already a week long destination but Disney california is a three day experience. Now do I think Disney California will expand? No because they don't have alot of room to do so, and personaly I think they should focus on building some more E-ticket rides and refreshing everything they do have to recapture that Disney feel Walt created back in the day before Eisner tore it all apart. But I do think they are on the right track with DCA by remodeling and adding to it.

Gee guys, I can't imagine how you guys do it, I have two kids at home and barely have time for dinner sometimes! I couldn't thank you guys enough for all the time you guys put in to bring us these updates. It's easy to take for granted the time it takes you guys to run a site like this and frequently update it with construction photos, late night testing videos, and the special tpr events like WCB, so thank you Robb and Elissa. Your time and work is so greatly appreiciated!!

^ Yea I havnt been this anxious about a ride since I followed the construction of X. I think it's so anticipated this time around cause it combines a few things at the park that are long overdue such as it being a good woodie and the fact it's themed better than any ride at the park. And even though it was implemented on X2 the addition of on board audio tops it all off.

^^ Well considering the update yesterday showed the tunnels not enclosed then I doubt they will have been enclosed yet. I'm sure their focus is gonna be on the station so they can start testing. I'd imagine for saftey reasons the can't be working on the station while they are testing. And they might not enclose the tunnels till testing is done so they can have a pretty clear view of those track areas during testing.

Boy I would not want to be the project manager for this ride! This is going to come down to the wire!! I'm sure it will be done by opening day though, construction projects always find a way to finish on time, unless there are technical problems, but I don't think that will be the case here. I think scream is a great canidate for new paint and themeing, hopefully it's in the plans for next year!

Dave Goes To Las Vegas!
ethans_dad06 replied to Meteornotes's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I would also go and see the Hoover dam (if your into tours of that sort) very interesting to see that marvel up close, and it's just a short drive out of Vegas. Man I can't wait for tommorow, I'm driving out there and staying a couple nights! Wooohooo!! -
I think the trains look great. And as said before, I think they will look better on the track. Also I know it's hard to imagine the theme of Terminator with a wooden coaster, but Tim did say at WCB that the theme will make sense when you go through the pre shows. I'm going to reserve my judgement about how relative the theme fits till I can ride it.

Rim Runner Leaving Las Vegas
ethans_dad06 replied to HEADCHEEZ's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
As much as I would like to see a B&M it won't happen. The cost of a Beemer is way out of their leauge and even if they did have the money for one they wouldn't spend that kind of money for a single ride. Now as far as fitting one in there, I think they could manage to fit one in there but it would be tight. I would imagine it will be a small vekoma but who knows if they will even get anything. It wouldn't hurt my feelings to see Circus Circus get blown up and rebuilt as another overpriced Wynn resort. -
^ I don't think he meant a campout, but maybe a small TPR event for the opening. Rob just said that there wasn't going to be a campout hosted by the park. And just to say it again, there will be a media day on the 21st which let's the media hype the ride up before they officially open it on the 23rd. There might be a soft opening inbetween the media day and official opening day, but no one has confirmed that as of yet.

Yea I remember when Goliath first opened it seemed like they barely hit the brakes on the mcbr. The helix was pretty intense back then. In SFMM's defense, I would have slowed the ride down as well to prevent a possible lawsuit in the future, even though the lady had died from a pre-existing condition.
