  1. Why does the thought of that terrify me? Then again, he'd probably be more annoyed with me asking if we're getting a B&M or Intamin with a custom layout around the mountain... "Are we getting a B&M?" "No." "Are getting a B&M?" "No." "Are we getting a B&M?" "No!" "......How about an Intamin?" *sighs*
  2. ^True. But it doesnt hurt to ask. Guess that's one more question saved for WCB.
  3. Well, even though the height requirement does sound ridiculous, I'm not going to pass judgment yet until I hear SFMM's side of the story. Granted, its not fair for anyone here on TPR who loves Magic Mountain and has a kid and was hopeful for this new ride, and maybe SFMM did overreact by thinking Robb was calling for a boycott when he wasnt. But dont you think we may have also overreacted a little? Shapiro has a lot more to worry about than some kiddie coaster's height requirement. He could have very well just told the person who monitors the company's twitter "Just tell them its 42' at the moment" or "I'll get back to that question as soon as I can." Same with Jay. I'm not condoning anyone here on TPR for their reaction, frankly, because I dont have a kid. I think we just need to let Jay handle it and move on to other things. Like what we can expect for Scream and Collosus concerning what the management team has planned for them. Robb, is there anything you guys talked about concerning next year that can be divulged? I'd certainly like to know if the former animal farm will be used for a Thomas Town expansion.
  4. Its about time. Love the name and theme, although I really wanted it to be "Snakes on A Coaster"...
  5. Sprout is the toddler equivalent of Nickelodeon, since Nickelodeon has begun to target pre-teens and teens a bit more than toddlers nowadays.
  6. ^Thats a known fact dude. You need to go through all the pages...
  7. ^In this particular case it might as well be the final confirmation. Since it doesnt seem to be anything spectacular, the park might as well just announce it.
  8. ^It seems that way. i'm just hoping whatever B&M's new project is might be coming our way (unlikely as it is though)
  9. No, but its the same type of ride. Freefall got scrapped, while this one was given to Dorney by a larger, sister park.
  10. ^Yet they just spent nearly 80 million over the past three years on three hypers and a giga?
  11. ^They should have sold it to another park then. I'm sure some park could have used it.
  12. ^Well I've never actually been to Great Adventure or Dorney Park, so I wouldnt know
  13. Just after seeing the confirmation of Demon Drop's new home, I gotta ask. Did Freefall get sold to another park?
  14. ^Its like kicking out one old person from a retirement home so another one could move in. I'm sort of glad Knott's didnt get it to be honest. People would have associated it with SFMM's former Freefall.
  15. ^Was there still a pile of dirt where the new coaster is supposed to be?
  16. ^None, most likely, although they'll probably have construction at least half done. But maybe they might divulge a little info on what they plan 2011 and anything that might go up on the mountain.
  17. ^Well this list had only steel coasters. So its the worst Top Ten list for steel coasters only.
  18. ^^&^ tell me about it But like I said, I'm assuming they are basing it on pure records only.
  19. The writers of Time magazine dont seem to get on roller coasters a lot. Or they are basing their Top Ten coasters on records only. http://www.time.com/time/specials/packages/article/0,28804,1954707_1954711_1954702,00.html Here's the complete Top Ten List: http://www.time.com/time/specials/packages/completelist/0,29569,1954707,00.html
  20. Well, remember, it is Twitter, so it shouldnt be counted as official.
  21. Now that they are open on Superbowl Sunday, maybe they can finally get around to announcing whats coming this summer and for 2011...
  22. Forgot to mention this. when I went to the park yesterday, after I just got off Batman, I heard the funniest thing. There was a woman and her family who were about to enter Batman's line, and apparently they were from Orlando (or at least never visited SFMM before) because the woman said to one of her kids, "It looks like Dueling Dragons!" I understand why she said that, because the former Ice and our new painted Batman are practically the same minus the layout and theme, but it was still pretty funny.
  23. ^^ 1. X2 2. Tatsu 3. Goliath 4. Colossus 5. Terminator Salvation 6. Goldrusher 7. Deja Vu 8. Batman: The Ride 9. Riddler's Revenge 10. Scream 11. Revolution 12. Ninja 13. Superman: The Escape 14. Viper Tatsu is my #2 because of its amazing pretzel loop, and sheer size. Although I am still in favor of tearing down Goliath, that one bunny hill, and 255ft drop at night are amazing. Idk about you guys, but Colossus is my #4 because I got great airtime on it. and of course X2 is my #1 mostly because of its nature, and hangtime.
  24. It wasnt extremely busy, but neither was it completely empty. Every ride had a decent wait time, although Terminator was a walk on at night.
