  1. It's actually the other way around for Jeeps. It's hard to find an auto, most of them are manuals. Mainly because a lot of guys hate not having "complete control" over the gears. But with my commute, an auto is better suiting for me.
  2. Ahhh, don't you just LOVE those type of cars. I'm really glad I'm into Jeeps instead of fast cars. I'd just get in too much trouble. And besides, it's much more fun and relaxing to take a trail like this: To get to a beautiful place like this!
  3. Exactly. It's just nothing to be happy about. I first got in, and I felt like I was swimming in a sea of cheap plastic! Driving it is just boring, I actually prefer my girlfriends Dodge Neon to this. I was pulling out of the gas station the other day (one thing I do like is the gas mileage), and there was an explorer coming towards me really fast. So I was used to my Jeep and said "ehh, I got room!" I floored it AND NOTHING HAPPENED! I was scared. I'm used to my Jeep where if you punch it, it'll punch you back into your seat. Not this, it just kinda putted along. To be fair though, it is an economy car, not a muscle car. But I just think it should have a bit more power then that. Could be worse, at least its not a Yugo.
  4. Revolution at SFMM. Whenever I'm there as a guest, it's a MUST ride for me!
  5. Well, I'm kinda beat, but I thought I'd just post this for craps sake. After 3 hours of pure elbow grease, I cleaned my Jeep and am really happy with the results! And if anyones wondering about the vehicles in the background, the red Jeep is my 76 CJ7, and the one in the reflection of my paint is our new 2009 Toyota Corolla. The most BORING car ever.
  6. I have a 2 dream cars. As you can tell, I'm a Jeep guy. First, I'd like to have a 1941-1945 Willys MB (WWII Jeeps). And then, I really want to get one of the new Jeep Rubicons. All of the goodies. And it has to be Jeep Green!
  7. The OTSR's wouldn't be so bad if they were positioned lower, and the lap bar is preventing them from being in a lower position. In fact, you can see that they pretty much touch each other. I think the most cost-effective way of making the ride more comfortable is by removing the lap bar and moving the harnesses down.
  8. Funny how you posted this just in time for the rides 32nd birthday!
  9. Heres my ride...2000 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Edition. 155k miles and has yet to give me a single problem! It's funny to watch people in Hummers and FJ Cruisers try to keep up with me off road! And, I'm also working on restoring a 1976 Jeep CJ7. Most of the mechanical is done, now I'm gonna start doing cosmetics. I'll post pics up later. All pretty and clean! I swear, it didn't look that deep... Getting dirty...
  10. Heck, as soon as it drops off of the lift, you can dispatch the next train. Same goes with Tatsu too.
  11. When deja vu stops there, they have to evacuate the riders. The second catch car doesn't go down far enough to grab the train again. So what they do is evac all of the riders off. Once thats done, they have a winch that pulls the train up to a position where the catch car can grab it, and then reset the ride from there.
  12. Thats Impossible. Screams station on both sides have something called the "Light Curtain." As far as I know, all B&M floorless have them. But its basically a big sensor across the whole floor (much like your garage door). If something is on the floor, then the train won't dispatch. There is no way to bypass it, and the employees know that. Thats why theres tape on the other side, for guests to put there shoes on the other side so it's not in the way of the light curtain. And if something is on the floor when they dispatch, the horn will sound, but the train wont be sent. Thats why you'll hear the panel operator say "Unload Light Curtain." So probably the case was is they open and closed gates quickly (which is how they're trained) thinking that the people in the front row already entered and are putting their shoes on the other side. Once they notice someone standing there, they will check the train, and then once the dispatch operator goes back to his/her position, he/she will re-open the gates the let them back in.
  13. Same here. It's not like ALL of the rides are doing it either. It's just four of them. Four dollars to keep your stuff safe in a locker at 4 rides, or, risk loosing your camera, wallet, phone, car keys...etc., which are worth MUCH more then that.
  14. They actually had the Revolution train on the storage track on Friday without a tarp. So, being an employee that loves Revolution, I got a pic. As far as the bogies being different, they're not. I too was told that they were going to be, but after seeing them, they're the exact same. However, with new wheels, Revolution can be fairly smooth.
  15. Yes, it is a urethane wheel. It looks more built into the core of the wheel, probably so the train doesn't rip through them as easily. Also, these wheels will be faster.
