  1. Looks like the bar holding the spinning the seats around came off the base
  2. Cobra roll on the Sean Serpent at Moreys Pier. Talk about a first inversion.
  3. The conestoga wagon had an updated maintanence program enacted by Huss. Part of that update was to inspect the pin that connected it to the frame daily. They decided to scrap the ride instead. it was one of my favorite rides. it is sorely missed, but Fh is going to be greatly welcomed in my book!
  4. and don't forget that new lone support in front of the catering area.
  5. I work very close to Hershey. One day next week I'll drive by with my camera and see if I can get a few shots.
  6. I you look closely, it seems they've connected the final banked curve to the brake run in the last day or so. It's hard to see on the the webcam
  7. Yes, there will be a generator as part of the back up system to operate the lifts.
  8. Correct., the coaster will have 2 chains. The diagrams for the ride show 2 hydraulic motors for 2 different chains, with a generator backup to power the lift system in case of an electrical interuption.
  9. Relax, the tower isn't even complete yet. it will be a chain
  10. Perhaps they want to wait to cap off the lift hill in some sort of topping off ceremony like they did with Storm Runner or like six flags did with kingda ka.
  11. sorry if you thought that I meant if RXCC was a terrible ride...I didn't mean it that way. I was just expecting a little more from the effects department, considering the company they used for the animitronics. It is a fun family attraction, and I ride it with the kids every time I go.
  12. I concede------It's an elevator shaft----although it could just be a stair case----Or the top of a multi-floor under ground free fall drop ride!. I can dream, can't I??
  13. Whatever the process may be, Hershey has always done a great job adding new rides to their portfolio. Even though it may seem odd to add another Intamin looper so soon, I'm sure they have their reasons. I wonder if they took all the ideas from the RCT3 contest a few years back to help their decision. The only bad addition to the park as of late is Reeses Xtreme Cup challenge. (although the kids to like it)
  14. The lift is going to be a chain. I will check my sources to determine whether or not that is an elevator shaft or not. As for this ride being a modified storm runner, I have to disagree, because it is not true. The design of FH is considered Intamins standard design for their new verticle lift hill coaster. This is actually not the first one operating. FH is actually a clone of the first one operating somewhere in south america, although I actually don't know where. Don't believe me? just look back at the orginal posts I made concerning the ride. I knew exactly what it was before the announcement. (I'm not trying to brag, just trying to put all the speculation to rest)
  15. The construction videos on Hersheypark.com are functional now, and they look great. The concrete building that someone mentioned was a elevator shaft for the ride may very well be the hydraulic building for the hydraulic motors that power the lift.
  16. Looks like you wont be riding Farenheit this year. You have to be at least 18 to have been chosen because of insurance restrictions. it's probably a media event too, so they don't want to have to go through getting permission from your parents to ride the ride
  17. Has anyone else noticed if you click on the "more videos" tab where the on ride simulation is on the hershey website, there are "construction videos" selectable? I clicked on the link, but nothing happened, but video updates of the construction would be sweet!
  18. I drove past hersheyparktoday. They verticle part of the lift track is being installed and it about 1/3 up the lift tower.
  19. I for one certainly hope the twitch to the right before entering the Norwegian Loop is NOT a typo. That maneuver would be a great addition to the ride!
  20. I recently called PR at Hersheypark and they said they are working on getting a webcam up. They didn't say when. There, I answered. Question marks and all.
  21. Like I said, I could be wrong. We'll see in a few weeks when they start lifting track. Elevator as in wheelchair access? Also, could you post the satellite image link?
  22. Based on the sketch of the drawing on the hersheypark site and the photo, it may very well be norweigen loop territory. I could be wrong though.
  23. Darn straight I did! Go MHS!!
