Hmmm.... Georgia (Home State) Florida Alabama Tennessee South Carolina North Carolina Kentucky Indiana Illinois Missouri California I'm in my school's jazz band and we travel across the country. If the economy improves, we should be going to Texas next year, and the year after to an international competition in Canada. I missed out on going to New York and I turned down and opportunity to go to Minnesota. And sadly, I've had two opportunities to go to Maryland (Washington, D.C.) on school trips but they've got canceled due to budget and in 2001 due to terrorist attacks.

So, you deleted everything you previously wrote because somebody was being a smartass? They were just curious to where you heard the information. On a forum, it's easy for somebody to come on and pull random info out of their ass. People will doubt what you say. As for Hulk's comment above, for all you know, he was being sarcastic. It's sometimes hard to perceive a person's tone or connotation through writing. He has one post! His views do not necessarily reflect everybody's views toward you. You are obviously working close with Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit! so we value the information you give us. You've been correct in your previous statements and we assume that you're correct now. All of my information came from people I know working with the project.

I'm glad to finally see the trailer. It looks...interesting. A friend of mine's grandmother worked on the film. She was also made into a zombie for the film! It seems like the film is supposed to take place in California... It's funny. They've been filming all over Georgia for months. Wild Adventures looks nice in the film...then again...it's a pretty nice park anyway. I need to get an annual pass again (After all, it's my home park), but I never get around over there. I may go in a few weeks, so I'll get some pictures.

The Dippin' Dots guy. Actually, I would rather not say who exactly I heard that information from. Universal doesn't seem to like their employees to talk to coaster enthusiasts about their projects... It's a shame. The information, though, did come from two employees and a person doing construction on HRRR...so...I would hope that they told me the truth. They haven't failed me before!

I have a little update. I found out today that all of the trains have arrived at Universal and they've been sitting around for a couple of days now. Today and earlier this week, they were doing work in the station and garage to prep for the trains being put on the track. As for testing, there hasn't been any since the new lift was re-fitted. Testing will be underway soon, though, just probably not until Monday. Apparently an electrical run-through was scheduled for yesterday, but they were never able to get around to it because of weather conditions. There will be little work going on today due to the threat of weather conditions (Or so I'm told) and lack of personnel. It's amazing that they are STILL expecting to soft open at the end of this month. The grand opening date (Depending on who you ask) is now set for somewhere around the 10th or 11th of July. And no, the rings have not been put up yet.

Exactly. It's amazing that they're coping with these hard times. After all, they've built a new coaster in Japan, going through with this Harry Potter island, building a new coaster, and building a new park in Singapore. Disney is doing well too...and so is Seaworld. They're all doing remarkably well in this financial climate...or so it appears.

Today the train was brought out of the station and onto the lift for work on the station. Work was also being done in the garage that will hold the trains. Work along the lift was underway in preparation for installation of the rings. Also, preparation is underway for the new lockers that will be installed near the entrance.

Earlier I posted a photo speculating that the truss structures were going to be the rings as depicted in the latest POV video released by Universal. I was wrong, and a similar style truss structure for the rings in the video is being used to build a canopy for the queue. I still believe the rings will go up. It's just a finishing touch. As I said before, Universal makes changes to their concept art (As seen with The Wizarding World of Harry Potter). The rings are depicted in the original concept art, the revised concept art, and all of the new videos released a week or two ago. I believe that we will see the rings and the paneling for the lift go up really soon.

Universal will make changes to concept art or animation if they decide to scrap something. The rings are in the concept art, the rings are in the revised concept art, and the rings are in the POV video released days ago. I think there's still going to be some rings. It's just a finishing touch. As for the ride, I don't think that it will be the greatest coaster ever, but it has some really cool stuff that I want to experience. I'm not going to deem this coaster as cursed and I'm not going to say that it won't open on time. All I'm going to say is that I will be patient and ride it when it opens.

Terminator: Salvation is pretty well themed for a Six Flags ride. The only problem is that Terminator:Salvation kind of disappointed. Most people only consider it an "okay" movie. It looked really cool, though, and there was a lot of hype behind it. Would Six Flags have themed a coaster to that particular movie had they known that it wouldn't go over well? It's like the Backdraft attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood. So, Terminator:Salvation is a great ride themed upon a so-so movie. (Sort of like Revenge of the Mummy) I think that there's a little bit of theming going on with Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit!. It may not be as extensively themed as other Universal attractions, but it will be a great coaster that will draw in crowds...which Universal needs. They're probably adding a coaster to bring over the thrill seekers that go to Islands of Adventure...and to silence the notion that one park is better than the other because they have more thrills. Maybe a ride without a theme or a very loose theme is better than a ride with a theme based upon a "so-so movie" or old franchise. Just my $.02 I'm glad that Universal is getting a new coaster. And I'm glad that Universal ISN'T getting something like a Land of the Lost coaster. Fake Edit: And no, I'm not hating on Terminator, Mummy, or Land of the Lost. And I think a Land of the Lost ride be kind of interesting...not "cool" but interesting.

From what I've heard, the people involved in the project are saying that they are AHEAD of schedule. The changes to the lift were made by Universal after the original pieces arrived onsite for construction. The new pieces were ordered and Universal asked for construction to go ahead and assemble the lift that was originally sent to them. They assembled the original pieces so they could go ahead and get a lot of testing over with while they waited for this new lift to arrive. Now what do they have to do? -Install the new lift -Complete testing -Landscape -Paint -Add signage and rings There's still a lot that they have to do...but I still have confidence that the ride will open July 3rd.
