  1. It was neat getting a little insider scoop that I never heard of before. Most of what he had to say I hadn't heard before.
  2. Okay, Here I am with the famous Jim Hill, From "Jimhillmedia.com" This is at the old Motorboats landing at Disneyland about 1 year ago. I am on the right with my awesome Shag Tiki Room shirt. Jim Hill and Frank at the end of one of his last tours at Disneyland
  3. Guess I'll put in my two cents as well... My name is Frank, and I am a moderator at another site which I will not mention here (not yet at this time!) I've been admiring Robb and Elissa's for some time now, and wanted to sign up and start posting here as well. They have a great forum going on here! I am a coaster fanatic as all of you are, with an emphasis on all things Disney. There is not a coaster that I will not go on, if I happen to be at a park that has one. Even though I live in Oceanside, I have not been to Magic Mountain in about 8 years. The most up to date ride that they had was Batman, and they were about a week from opening Superman, the escape. I know...I know... shame on me for not making the trip up there. I did have the opportunity to go on what I thought was the most outrageous coaster ever 2 years ago at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Il... Superman, Ultimate Flight. Found out the hard way that to maintain a Superman pose (arms thrusted forward) throughout the ride was probably not the best thing to do, partivcularly if you wanted to breath during the ride! Really wanted to head over to Cedar Point... but the family was out for a wedding that trip, and we didn;t have the time to make it over. My avatar?... well it is a pic of my favorite attraction in all of Disney, Soarin' over California. My sig?...It's what Patrick Warburton say in the loading queue safety film. Once again, Robb and Elissa...great site!
  4. NO not Soarin"! ...LOL Actually, they might complain that the scents used inside of the attraction set off someones allergies, making them get a perscription! Or... It set off a latent form of acrophobia...and now they must seek out a Pychologist!
  5. Bottom line...it's DIsney. Anytime anything happens at a Disney resort, it's big news to the media. Just spoke to a cast member that was there last night. It really was no a huge thing to be worried about. Yes there was a problem, but the severity of the impact was very minor. There was an"over-reaction" to the needed response, but inthe times that we live in now...anything that can be construed to be anything... will be.
  6. You're right! unfortunately how many people read the back of the ticket? (guess would apply at all parks, even DLR) Legally however, and again unfortunately, lawyers would argue the same point...no one pays attention to the back of the ticket... unless they have them sign it...right?
  7. Robb, They don't have you sign any releases in Europe at all those parks before you go in, do they?
  8. Just check through all my "Google" notifs from overnight... OMG, can't the news media get it right? I am seeing reports that indicate "60 people injured" to "The incident HAPPENED in the loading station". They all seem to bring up the March incident of the 4 year old child that his parents did not pay attention to on the Story Book Canal Boasts and severed the top of his thumb. Place the blame were it needs to be folks...sheeesh!
  9. DId not hear anything about having to have emergency Brain Surgery. Also to correct a statement that someone else brought up, no she did not die on ToT either. The News last night did not provide any additional information concerning anything about the actual incident, other than calling it "an incident". This was the local affiliation of NBC News in San Diego.
  10. Kinda curious.... how did they get those aerial shots of the accident. Isn't DLR a "No Fly Zone"?
  11. I'll have to check out the news tonight. Went to the website and go no additional info at this tiem. Wonder what happened?!...
  12. This is from a Mac addict.... Consider getting an entry level Mac that comes with iLife. the iMovie program make the importing of the video extremely simple. It also gets you into the editing arena with a very simple and easy editing program. Then of course, you'll eventually want to get a Dual Processor Power Mac with Final Cut Pro. Then you can produce videos like a pro!
  13. Thanks Robb! I've been looking for the music to the queue of Soarin' Over California for some time now!
