  1. Yeah, yeah. I was going to put it at 500ft and put it at 3ft instead. Or are you talking about the shape of the area to build in?
  2. You have some track out of the red area. Other than that, just smoothing out some transitions, and its good. I cannot write using paint...lol
  3. If you can find a way to move it up without going side to side, yes. Otherwise no. As for the AHG debate, I have decided that all tools will NOT BE allowed.
  4. I just see your point in a strange way. lol
  5. I completely agree. And the mistake I made in the rules is that AHG does kind of build a track for you. I guess that if AHG is allowed, then Elementary?Newton should be allowed and vice versa. What do the judges think? AHG out, or Elementary/Newton in?
  6. Give me a minute, I will upload a new template.
  7. As much as I can see your point, I have to respectfully disagree with you. Elementary and Newton build elements and the builder just puts them together. Don't worry, I see your point though.
  8. Welcome to the Wooden Coaster Challenge Coming to the end of the Hyper Coaster Contest I present all of you with this! This is a Wooden Coaster Challenge that has a template loosely based on a WWS template. The Challenge is to make a wooden coaster that everyone will fear to ride, but come off with the thrill of a lifetime. The winner will be decided by 4 judges and will be based on a 100 point system. As far as rules and regulations, they are as followed -No height restriction -Must be longer than 3,000ft shorter than 6,000ft -Car length must be 5-8 cars -Train must be two bench style -Must run 1-3 trains -Must pass BOTH E-stop AND tunnel test -No G force limit other than NO red G's -Track banking must not exceed 90 Degrees -Track must stay inside red lines -Station must be placed in the box with the X -NO TRACK OR SUPPORTS are allowed into the triangles -Auto Supports may be used and CAN go out of red box. -Launches are allowed but you MUST have ONE lift hill section -Terraforming is allowed -Elementary/Newton/AHG is not allowed -Scenery is allowed -Must use template -Due date is June 4. Late entrys are allowed until June 7, but with a 25 point penalty. Announcement 5/29 In light of two early entrys and other members critiquing them, I, along with all 3 judges, have decided that once you say that "this is my entry", that is your entry. Announcement 6/5 I have asked the judges to grade by the scale posted her, as well as give their thoughts on the ride. I am gathering all 4 ratings and putting them into a notepad file. If you would like me to send you your rating, just send me a PM and I will get it to you as we all finish rating. -Judges will consist of the following people -Myself -dr.gumbo -Loefet -haux People currently signed up 1. Thelegendarymatthew - Entered 5/9 2. Exceller - Entered 6/4 3. Koolkid - Entered 5/27 4. Xpress - Entered 6/4 5. DBru - Entered 5/22 6. 4rturo - Entered 6/3 -5 points for correct track length (Automatic 0 if shorter or longer than stated rule) -5 points for correct number of cars per train (Automatic 0 otherwise) -5 points for correct style (Automatic 0 otherwise) -5 points for correct number of trains (Automatic 0 otherwise) -5 points for passing E-Stop and Tunnel Test (Automatic -2.5 per failed test) -5 points for no banking past 90 Degrees (Automatic 0 if ANY banking is past 90 Degrees) -5 points for NO red G's (Automatic -1 per instance in red) -5 Points for staying inside provided template (Automatic 0 otherwise) -5 points for no supports inside triangles (Automatic 0 otherwise) -5 points for using template (Automatic 0 otherwise) Together, all of this totals to 50 points. When you are done with this grade, give the ride a rating out of 10, and then multiply that by 5. Add this score to the point total above to get the final point total. This will give the ride a total rating out of 100. 9. I have Vista and everything works fine for me. Not sure what your problem is. What bit vista are you running?
  10. When I import the file into iTunes, where does it go to? I can't seem to find it...
  11. I guess that out of the 5 people that entered, only 2 will be in the poll...Voting will take place through Sunday night.
  12. I have to say, I totally misread what I wrote. I ment to write that all must be hand made, but I didn't post that. I will throw that rule away.
  13. ^Jamor, you have 41 pre-fab supports...It is clearly stated in the rules that ALL supports must be hand made. You have 2 options... 1. You can leave this product entered and get DQ'd 2. You can turn in a late entry with all supports fixed The choice is yours. As for DBru, you have 10 pre-fab supports. I will leave you with the same 2 choices.
  14. ^Everyone has the chance to due the late due date, but there will be some kind of penalty for it.
  15. ^Today is the deadline. Sunday is the late deadline. You can turn it in until sunday, but that will be taken into consideration with the poll. This also applys to anyone else who is late.
  16. ^The banking might look off because the track dips down a little and comes right back up.
  17. Here is another quick update... Whole Q Area Hand Built Station The Inversion First Drop
  18. Just wanna bump this to tell you all that there are only 3 DAYS LEFT!
  19. I am not one to complain, but 84 views and NOT ONE person has replied? Can you people tell me what you think?
  20. That drop looks like it has some major airtime!
  21. I am starting up my own project. This is an Intamin coaster with a 130ft lift hill and an 83 Degree drop. All I can tell you now is that this coaster is small but it packs a punch. And before I forget, it even has an inversion. Trackwork - 99.9% Supporting - 3% Scenery - 65% Here are a few teaser pics. And the bottom of the first drop. Magnetic brakes have also been installed. Credit goes to freefaller91 from coastersims for 3DS fins. Transfer Track has been installed.
  22. I noticed the Alpengeist banging last year too. But I didn't know if it was because the park had just opened that week (it was the couple of weeks BGW was open for spring break last year). Another reason I think that the ride was bumpy for me, is that I was riding trains by myself or 4-5 other people that were in other rows. Can a park regular tell me if Alpengeist is always rough, or was it just my experience? Other than that, sounded like you had a good time!
  23. Just a reminder that there are 6 days left...
