Halloween Horror Nights XVI
iunchboxhero replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Alas. I have experienced HHN !! I was very happy to know that the park opened at 5 PM because right when we got there we did Screamhouse, All Night Die In, & Psychoscaraphy. All had about 15-20 minute lines which were not so dreadful. Screamhouse: I did not mind the Caretaker being in every other scene. Actually I enjoyed the fact that people where "acting" things out rather just spooking you and jumping out of places.. (After a while it gets old)... All Night Die In: My favorite. When I first walked in I didn't realize the whole "Scream" scenario but than afterwards when the Scream guy jumped out at me, I was like "Ok I get it".. he was fun because he seemed to follow me throughout the scenes.. and somehow.. somewhere at the end he jumped out AGAIN!!! The Hellraiser was absolutely amazing.. I also enjoyed the Silence of the Lambs room.. Psychoscaraphy: The set was nice, but somehow.. it lacked. I did see Jack at the end though. RUN: Sorry but this house didn't do anything for me. (P.S. I did not like the fact that I had to fight my way through rows and rows of plastic separating sheets from room to room) (On a lighter note, I wore my rib cage shirt and it seemed to be a great success.. all the scare-actors commented on it such as "I'll cut those ribs to pieces" :] .. made me smile.) I also managed to see Bill & Teds and that magic show in the Animal Planet pavillion. Later on, the park got super crowded and the lines were anywhere from 90-150 minutes. Unbearable. Needless to say, I didn't go on anything else after about 9:30... I walked around the park a lot and hit the scarezones several times. Blood Masquarade: The guy in the bungee was cool.. the vampire ladies only "scared" people because at times you would hear this LOUD noice and the vampire ladies actually moved! Deadtropolis: I loved the zombie tourists. Harvest: The "skeleton" guys in the robes got me the first time I walked through. Chainsaw Guys: I LOVE YOU! You managed to scare my boyfriend several times, but you only backed off because I started laughing and he was hiding behind me :] Gotta love the vampire ladies ^__^ -

thefitness, yes this is my very first year going. I'm very excited and I've been following this thread religiously. I already "planned" my outfit. So if you see a blonde girl with a ribcage shirt on. It's me -

What Rides Scares the Crud Out Of You?

Initially I'm always scared to go on the Tower of Terror at MGM Studios.. I don't like the feeling of dropping in the dark 0_o (On the other hand, Tower of Doom at IOA... I'm totally cool with! I love it) Oh yea, I'm afraid of Ferris Wheels as well. -

Ok, quick question (hopefully not as repetitive).. but If you bought the IOA extra ticket from 4 to 7 pm.. you will enter HHN through the Dr. Seuss area... BUT... Are you are not allowed to go to the houses yet?! I was thinking about hitting ROTMummy before going through all the houses. Can someone please clear that for me? Thank you! -
Back in 1997, I got stuck on the Tower of Terror at MGM Studios. After the ride ended my seatbelt (yes, I happen to get the middle seat with the only seat belt at the time..). Got stuck and wouldn't open. In 2005, I got stuck on the Pirate of the Caribbean for about 30 minutes. We couldn't get off the stupid boats because we were stuck in the "pirate ship" section with all the cannons.. It was pretty dreadful. Last, but not least.. I've gotten stuck on the Hulks final break stop. Nothing too dramatic though. :]

Let me re-phrase this with a little more thought. The Fantasia/Mickey Mouse portion of the "Movie Ride" in MGM Studios is basically all just screens with a couple of lighting effects. That is what the mermaid ride (from the pictures seen above) reminds me of. On the other hand, the Peter Pan ride (from what I recall) had actual figures moving. Same example could be used with the Haunted Mansion. :] I hope this made a little more sense.

I mean sure it would have been a "cool" ride but it looks to me sort of like the "Movie Ride" at MGM.. with just images and you're just riding through. Plus the building looks like it would have been expensive to maintain. For example, Peter Pan is 100x better because the actual characters are moving.. and its not just a screen.. Idk, this is just my two cents.

That's totally not fair that they let people in early! What about the folks at IOA who bought the pass from 4pm to 7pm? They also told me that if the Express Passes were sold-out online, they might have a limited amount the day of the event at 8:30 am when the ticket booth opens -

Good evening everyone! I discovered this website because of Halloween Horror Nights. This is my very first year going and I am very excited about seeing everything and anything.. unfortunately though Express Passes are sold out for Oct 21st (darn rich people).. So I will ultimately face the long and dreadful lines... I've read up on the houses that everyone has visited to far. If there are 4 MUST SEE houses for the whole night, which ones would you pick?? Thanks in advance!
