  1. 1979 news! Dynamite has been re-tracked and is now open to the public! A new area themed to a castle has been added. It features two rides, The Time Machine, a spinning ride in which you stand up on, and an un-named roller coaster! Pictures will be up later. -KB
  2. I'll work on that. Thanks for the tips! EDIT: That's the best themeing I could do. I don't have mine themeing or western themeing in this park. Oh, and I think I'll just re-do the whole layout of Dynamite. The park is in the year "1978", so I can't make it too complex.
  3. NEW COASTER! Dynamite is here! Dynamite flips riders 5 times. It is located in Western World. New for '78! Overview of Dynamite. More Later -KB Comments/Critiscm/Tips appreciated!
  4. Woah, coaster track! Probably a corkscrew coaster. Arrow again. And clearing in Western World. Maybe it's going there... More later. -KB Comments/Critiscm/Tips appreciated!
  5. Awesome! Cougar looks great! I like the zero-g roll over the fountain.
  6. Crap, the park JUST opened! It was packed!I went for a spin on Runaway Mine Train, and everything was packed! Anyway, here's an overview: I forgot to mention some rides like the Hopper, Turnover, Loop-O-Plane, and Western Wheel. Also, no signs of anything new for 1978. More later. - KB Comments/Critiscm/Tips appreciated!
  7. Well, trees have been planted and construction on a small western-themed area has begun. Oh, and a small coaster called Runaway Mine Train is being built as we speak. Pics: Construction. More later. - KB Comments/Critiscm/Tips appreciated!
  8. The trees started to bug me. Can I get some tips on landscaping and trees?
  9. The trees will be later. There's still a lot to do before "opening day". By the way, thanks for the tip. I'm pleased with Corkscrew's station. More comments/critiscm/tips appreciated.

  12. My first park, Great America, is owned by a new theme park chain called Greatest Countrys. Great America is scheduled to open in 1977. *Pictures up soon. Built rides: County Fair - themed area: Rides Corkscrew- An Arrow corkscrew coaster. Three inversions. Pirate- A Mulligan swinging Pirate Ship. Carousel- A Bertazzon Carousel. Orleans Plaza - themed area/entrance plaza: Rides Log Flume- An Arrow log flume. Thrill Zone - area: Rides White Lightnin'- A Schwarzkopf Shuttle loop coaster. One inversion. KidZville - area: Rides Scooby's Ghoster Coaster- A Philadelphia Toboggan Company wooden junior coaster. I'm still working on other rides though. This is my first time with a park, so my building and stations won't be very good. I need to find a photo site so I can get the pictures up. They have to j.peg, right?[/i]
  13. I have one at my grandparents' house, but I don't have one on my computer. Can anyone tell me where I can find one? Sorry if I shouldn't post this Thanks in advance.
  14. The line just for the FRONT SEAT was an hour and a half?
  15. Cool park, I really like Manta Ray!
  16. Since my birthday is tomorrow, my parents took me to BGE this morning for the Griffon breakfast special. I don't have photos, sorry. Now, my parents can still ride eides. My Dad does coasters, my mom does not-very-intense flats. TR: We arrived at about 8:15. A few cars were already waiting near the place where you pay for parking. We waited about 40 mins before they let us through. Once throught the turnstiles, they made us wait by the tower in England. 10 or 15 mins passed and someone escorted to us Griffon. My mom went to eat her breakfast when we got to Griffon, while my dad and I went to ride. We got in line, and got right on the front. When we got to the top, and they held us over the edge, I was like "Crap." We ended up riding twice in the front, twice in the back (My back got soaked) and once in the middle, increasing my Griffon ride count to six. But the day didn't stop yet. I started my breakfast, and, to my surprise, RIGHT at 10:00 herds of people stampeded into Griffon's line. They started with only the big covered over-flow line before opening the rest of the line. But before they did that, the line was backed out, past the bridge in between the first drop and first immelman, and past the Gift Shop. Anyways... Alpengeist was next. Again, only my dad and I rode it. We waited about five minutes (our car's que wasn't even full, either!) before getting on. I hated Alpengiest the first time I rode it, but loved it the second time! The g's on the Cobra Roll killed me though. Curse of DarKastle was next. This time both my mom and dad, rode with me. We got right on it. My mom didn't like it a whole lot, she said it gave her a headache. Anyway, I rode th Waveswinger by myself next. I only waited about 3 minutes. My dad and I then rode Big Bad Wolf- walk-on. Did they change the restraints or something, because they felt different. Anyways, I was met with a great shock when we got to Da Vinci's Garden- Da Vinci's Cradle was actually operating! I did it by myself, and waited 5 minutes. Great airtime! Next was Apollo's Chariot. Shocker (seriously)- walk-on for every seat except the front. This was great but not as great as before. My mom and I then rode the Turkish Delight. 5 minute wait and it was worth it. Anyway, last was Loch Ness with my dad. Walk-on. Rough, but still good. After that, we came home.
  17. Looks awesome. I really like Wolverine's station and the entrance. The Wilderness Wheel doesn't look very good though. It needs more trees.
  18. ^He said he'll come back to this after Rock'N'Soul Memphis.
  19. Trip Report 6/19/07 No photos I got there at noon, 2 hours after they opened for the day. I bought a "fun coupon", allowing me to get in free for the rest of the year. First ride up, Oronga. This time, I had to wait for 1 hour to ride Oronga. Like last time, it was flippin' awesome! Man, it's so tall (10/10)... Next is (maybe) Peregrine! Again, the line completely full, a 2-hour wait. Skipped again. I decided to ride Phoenix. 20 minute wait, not as bad as last time. I waited it out, and it broke down while my ride was at the top. That was cool! (10/10) Tantalus closed, Red Zone's line was full and backing out into the pathway, Twizzler Turnover was stuck upsidedown while I was waiting for it so I had to leave the line, Hawaiin Swings had a full que (30 minute wait!), Shipwreck closed, Tropicana Tower's que full, Oddessey down all day, and Zhambi Sidewinder closed! What a day! List of what I rode: Oronga Phoenix
