Well we decided that Monday wasn't going to happen which to be honest I am glad of, we went today and this trip truly shown Thorpe at it's best. Ride Count: Stealth: 5 Colossus: 4 Nemesis Inferno: 4 Saw: 5 X://wtf: 1 Vortex: 2 Samurai: 2 Rush: 2 Slammer: 2 Total: 27 This was on a laid back day! We did rush about when it went dark getting in a few dark rides. We also did 3 mazes, I won't do Asylum due to me not being able to handle the intense strobe lighting. We didn't que more than 10 minutes for ANYTHING. For Fright Nights it was dead, in fact it is probably the quietest I have ever been to Thorpe, and I didn't witness one breakdown. Staff was all fantastic. The mazes lacked something this year. Se7en: New layout, but a bit mis match, I didn't get what scene was what, I will explain one scene; A girl in a dentist chair screaming about the dentist going to get her, the dentist banged on a window with a light shining on her then the room went pitch black, you hear the drill then you move on. It just didn't match the theme, also another scene which should have actually been in Asylum. The last scene was really bad, no major scare and left feeling short changed. Hellgate: Again less actors than previous years, stand out part of the night, a lady wedged in one of the corridors about a foot to two feet off the ground. She stood there for about 2 minutes, then for us to get passed we had to crawl under her legs. The final scene again was a letdown. The Curse: This was my first time on this maze, and it did have a nice amount of sudden scares but it still was nothing like the first year of Se7en or even Hellgate 2 years back. Saw comes alive: 2 actors doesn't make a ride "come alive", very poor. The mazes need new storys, new layouts, and more actors. All in all a great day, the park always looks fantastic when lit up! Inferno was my favourite fright nights overhaul, the tag line was " are you ready to freeze the inferno", the lights in the station turned blue, the mist in the tunnel was on really strong, with blue lights in the tunnel. Also the amount of fog that was pumped out under the loop was amazing, could have easily been a scare zone. Was amazing, you couldn't see Colossus through the smoke it was that thick.

That music is from the homepage of Camelot http://www.camelotthemepark.co.uk Has been there for a while! Iam sure if Robb gets the other email today (Monday) as others have been told Friday of last week OR Monday of this week, then I am sure they will have it running, have they got the trains on track yet? Any testing?
-
My biggest memory, from Camelot, is from when they had Sooty (kids puppet television show thing) They has a Sooty figure on the castle! Was when Tower of terror was there and Excalibur (the original inverting ship) Was great as a kid ! Can't wait to get back there! Visited back in 2004 too for the credits!

Well Media Day is upon us! Friday only 4 more days to go. Anyone going from Manchester? Getting train up? Think that will be easiest, only £6.70 return to Chorley, then about £5-£7 in taxi from the station to the park! Anyone up for sharing taxi costs? PM me or add me to msn, alton_towers2k56@hotmail.co.uk We can chat about it there.

Well media day is on it's way, Robb emailed me the auto-email saying I am on the list! OMG I so can't wait, Camelot was looking very un-stable for the future, but the way they are advertising this coaster and the work they have put into it! The future will hopefully be secured! With new and better additions in years to come! More thrill seekers will be coming to Camelot to ride this coaster. Also it has sparked major attraction towards the enthusiasts which is great ! So cant wait ! Maybe this will bring the "teen" market back into Camelot! As there aint much there for that audience! Now this adds to it! I personally think this is the most anticipated coaster in the UK for 2007! Yes it is relocated but nothing like Infusion, up the road and marketed as BRAND NEW! Camelot have done well with this and I hope it secures the parks future !

Theme Park Review's 2007 Group Trips!
stealth2006 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Maybe next season I will be able to join these trips! I don't know anyone off here, but to be honest I won't get to know anyone unless I come on these trips! When money is better, I will sure be doing these! Uk Tour 08/09 will be a definate for me even though I get to do most of the parks here anyway! It's better in a group then on your own! -

Alton Towers Discussion Thread
stealth2006 replied to Ed's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My trips to the towers: Quite Regular as I am 45 minutes/1 hour away! Get into park: Go straight to Rita Corkscrew Charlie Then do Hex Enterprise/Submission (first as you wont have to walk back up the hill if you do them before oblivion) Oblivion Spinball Beastie (if you want the credit) Teacups Flume Rapids Minetrain Duel Nemesis Air Ripsaw Fit lunch imbetween all that! Then usually I have time to either do Rita/Nemesis/Air/Oblivion one or two more times at the end of the day! Something I find easier, If you don't have children! Get lunch on the go! Quick baguette from Corner Coffee, or something quick from pizza slut, Kfc, or Mcd's! Easiest as you can que and eat! If not don't worry bout it! Aslong as its not in the next 3/4 weeks it will be fine! As it is school trip season! -
Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
stealth2006 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I personally think it looks great! But then again, it will still be travelling at speed, and the transition will be taken fast! So the neck-chopper will still happen I think! -
Right well here is the plan just to see if you think it would be ok: Start out in Indiana: Holiday World Drive to near GL, stay over, wake in morning, Go GL for the morning, get the credits, then to CP, do the rest of day at CP, stay somewhere close, then head back to CP the day after. Do a day, stay close, then head off real early to kennywood/dorney/hershey which ever is closest, if its kennywood then dorney If Close enough we can do in a day, as only 5 credits at each park. Then off to hershey for a day! Leave Hershey and head off to maryland for SFA, then off to SFGadv for 2 days! What would be the cheapest accommodation around these areas if any help can be given. Thanks alot you are all stars Also to get into SFA and SFGAdv based on this seasons prices, it wil cost $109.98 If you get a play pass will it get us into both parks? And how much will it cost! (SixFlags won't load on my pc)

Well as you can see by the topic name change etc: I and now a friend Kat, will start planning this soon. We will be out in Cedar point area for 3 weeks and want to hit as many parks as possible in the area: Cedar Point, GL SFGAdv Dorney park, Hershey And anyother reccomendations! What is the youngest you can get car hire at? Anyone got any relatively cheapish plans and what airport to head to from the UK! Where to start out basically! We want to hit as many parks as possible in the 14 days we are out there! Aslong as we have time to do everything including flats at cedar point we are fine! Thanks for all your help! Chris and Kat

Thanks alot! I could always just wait until the next east coast TPR trip! Could be easier for my travel etc! Yes it may be more costly but I will get to meet alot of you great TPR's who have tried to help me very much! Thanks for all the advice you have given me! It's very much apprietiated! Chris x

What parks are around the east coast then? I do want plenty of re-rides! June sounds good, so the date will change to June! GL seems like a one day park so that is fine. CP 3 at max! Same with SFGAdv Thanks for your help!
