  1. Yeah they are a lot of fun. The seats are comfortable, and its cool cause you dunno when its gonna launch. The noise of the LIMs is also pretty cool. Its loud and it always scares the people in line, lol.
  2. Yeah, they modified to Vertical Velocity's also, right? and the Steel Venom's? They added another support on the back towers. Except for SFDK, of course. Since the tower is so small
  3. And to think that at Six Flags that's still a confusing process. Seriously though, knowing Intamin there'd be a "despatch" button and an "e-stop" button for ride-ops to use. From there there'd be another set of over-ride controls to manually return the ride to the station if a ride-op decides to e-stop the ride. Other than that, the computers control pretty much everything else. Yeah that was basically my question. Like after the Ride OP pushes the dispatch button, does the computer choose when to actually launch the train, or does the Ride OP choose when to launch it.
  4. I have a question about Impluse Coasters. When the ride operator dispatches the train, does it launch on its own? or can the ride operator choose exactly when to launch it?
  5. Medusa's station is gross, too. the lower section is absolutley disgusting. There is tons of gum on the walls, people throw their garbage down there...its just disgusting. And the ride is so faded. Painting V2 gave the park a fresh look, and imagine if they painted Medusa, how refreshing it would be. You would think they would take better care of their "star" ride..
  6. ^ Wheres the video?
  7. More Family areas? youve got to be kidding me. Their last coaster was in 2004, and that coaster isnt even there anymore. they put in a family area last year, so i think that its pretty much time to put in something thrilling. and im not necessarily saying it should be a coaster, but is it so hard to put in a couple of thrill rides...? From a business stand point, yes, families to bring in more money, but they need to think about thrill seekers too. Why are big parks, such as SFMM, CP and SFGADV so popular and famous...? becuase they have a good source of thrill rides, not family rides or family areas. Maybe SFMW should start thinking about that. Families arent the only people who bring in money, thrill seekers and teenagers do too.
  8. ^Yeah thats what i was going to say. Not only do they not have enough room for another kiddie area, but they arent stupid enough to make another kiddie area. They would just re theme the looney tunes area i think. But I think what Loco meant, was why would they waste time and money on re theming one of the kiddie areas, when they could be using their money on something they need? Like..another coaster. or another thrill ride. Or flat ride(s). And thats what im talking about them not making good decisions on their additions to the park. Was it absolutley necessary to add Tava's Jungleland last season?...they could have used that space and money to add some thrill rides and flat rides. They dont need to re theme the kiddie area...Its fine how it is. But we dont know whats happening for sure, until tomorrow.
  9. ^ I agree..it looks good in person. Even though the colors definately do stand out, i think it was a mistake for them to have another red coaster..they dont have very many coasters so they should have painted the track a different color, or just leave it yellow because the dark pink supports look good with yellow. But it kinda gives the park a new look, which is something good and fresh.
  10. My apologies for the double posts. But i agree with you 100%. Just because this park has animals, doesnt make it any better then any other SF park. There are other parks that need a little bit of help too.
  11. No Kidding. Shapiro better have something good up his sleeve, because the past couple of seasons additions have been crappy. I hope this year they prove everyone wrong, but im not counting on it. By the looks of V2's new colors, and "Sea, Sky and Land" its not looking too good yet. I may be wrong though. lets all keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best.
  12. Ok, well if what you just told us isnt true, which we will find out next week. You just made up a whole bunch of rumors too.
  13. ^ Yes, knowing Six Flags..meaning they usually don't too much effort in theming their coasters. And i agree, i dont have high hopes either. for the past couple of seasons, their "additions" to the park have been horrible IMO. (i.e. Tava's Jungleland..) Although, they have done some good things ..like taking out the train to make room for more picnic tables..That was a good thing. I just hope this year they make a huge turn around..but im not counting on it. But at least they are putting in some effort, i suppose.
  14. Knowing Six Flags, i doubt they will even change anything to do with it being a P-lot coaster. I bet they will re paint it, "theme" the station and give it another name, and thats it.
  15. Does something happen to the forum when threads reach 7 pages or something?
  16. ^Very True. I drove by the park today and they had the back spike support done, and they were just starting to do the track, but the Yellow track looked really good with the Dark Pink (what is the actual color of the supports? it looks kinda maroonish/pink) It would have been good for them to keep the track yellow, and paint the supports that dark pink color. I wonder if they really are gonna do another theme.
  17. Friend? yeah..Thanks... Anyways, I like the colors it was..i think it would have been cool for them to keep the same colors, but just re paint it. And am i alone but does anyone think that Medusa should have gotten repainted before Vertical Velocity?
