  1. Thanks for the report - I enjoyed it. I live in Bursledon and have been to the IOW a few times. I never knew Ryde had Underground trains, though - that's cool!
  2. It's a Robin!? Wow. Ours are much smaller in the UK: I would never have thought of that. Thanks Yellow Jacket!
  3. You lucky, lucky people! I'm so jealous. We were at Dollywood shortly after you, I think (8th June). It was HOT! Mystery Mine and Thunderhead were superb: Thunderhead is still my #1 woodie now, in spite of riding Voyage and El Toro. The latter are incredible, but they are brain-shakers (especially Voyage), whereas Thunderhead just floats around the whole circuit every time. It's wonderful! I also loved Tennessee Tornado - a pleasant surprise, that was. The park was the best of all the 16 we visited on our trip, with friendly and courteous staff and excellent ride operation. A massive thumbs-up: hooray for Dollywood!
  4. Yep, it was such a wonderful bonus to see you guys. I had a sort of feeling it could happen one day, but it actually DID! Made my day even better (suck-up mode disengage). We weren't really stalking you of course - it's just that coaster people have this a-track-tive force that brings them together. OK, shoot me now. Actually Robb's suggestion that I look on his map to find where the others were was one of the comedy highlights of the day. I should have replied "who do you think I am, Harry Potter?" but I wasn't quick enough... What an awesome trip it was! Just about the only bad thing that happened (apart from Sick Flags America) was missing a ride on Boulderdash. Everything ran like clockwork, for which we are all grateful to Jason and his organisational skills. Oh yes, before I forget! Could Josh (or anyone else) please name the bird in his photo? We saw them everywhere, and I don't know what they are called. Ta!
  5. Wow! You went to Comic Con... Did you happen to meet a guy from LA there called Garrett Gilchrist? He would have been giving away free DVDs of this (long story, but I've got a copy, and it's awesome).
  6. That's my spot, back off!! Congrats to everyone. I don't think I'll be entering next year either. Just not enough decent footage. I think the greatest challenge would be to aim for exactly 20th place, no higher, no lower.
  7. Yay! I actually voted properly this year, making very careful choices, having watched every video. There were some really great entries, and it was hard to choose. One of my choices was Justin Saxe's Silverwood entry. Great editing, and I really love "Sing, Sing, Sing", so I had a lot of fun watching that. I'm happy with the number 1 though, as that was also in my top three - great work from Paul. Robb, I have a video of Thorpe Park from 2005. Would it be permitted for inclusion next year? Just wondering. Some people have told me it's good enough to go in.
