Tokyo Disney Resort Discussion Thread

I wonder if long term they're thinking of reclaiming land in Tokyo Bay and building a 3rd park. I wonder what they'd come up with - Tokyo DisneyMARVEL perhaps. -

Save your money and get a Fast Lane pass instead - then you can ride it as much as you want with little wait. $50 well spent as opposed to $200+ for a single ride. -

I don't think that anyone has posted this idea yet, but I think the real reason there is a tunnel is primarily due to safety concerns. As far as I'm aware, the layout of this coaster is unique in that the first drop goes outside the park boundary. It's the only coaster that I know of that the general public could get very close to the first drop (just a few metres away). It's not in an "out of bounds" area like most coasters first drops and layouts - there isn't really a backstage area. By putting a tunnel at the first drop the chance of anyone throwing anything at the coaster as it comes down the drop, and thereby injuring any riders, is avoided. I could be wrong but its just my reasoning behind the late addition of a tunnel so close to opening - Perhaps the safety inspectors made them do it. Please correct me if I'm wrong. -

Just announced on Twitter: "Our DARK announcement is...a 100 foot (30.5 m) tunnel will be added to the bottom of Leviathan's first drop!" https://twitter.com/#!/wonderlandnews -
I can't speak for others, however I preferred it to Hollywood and Orlando. It was a better overall experience for me than I had at any of the US parks (I haven't been to Universal Japan). And the food was great too. I felt the attention to detail and quality of attractions in this park is extraordinary. It is a very small park, but what it lacks in space it makes up in a great atmosphere and high quality themed attractions. And it's totally fun too!

I don't think Carnival will be going away anywhere. In fact I think Carnival will follow the same path that New Corp did with the whole News of the World debacle. They'll either shut the Costa line down or sell it off. After everything that has come to light and the continued bad publicity, I think they'll just want to wash their hands clean of Costa. The other option they may have is to rebrand Costa.

Costa's '30 per cent off' compo offer leaves survivors stunned So they almost killed you on your last cruise, and if you survived they're offering you a 30% discount on a future cruise! And if you're really lucky, they might even throw in a bucket of Bud!!!!! http://www.smh.com.au/travel/travel-news/costas-30-per-cent-off-compo-offer-leaves-survivors-stunned-20120122-1qbvk.html

Yes, It's true. I arrived at the park around 7:15pm on Saturday night for Haunt. One train was stuck on the MCBR and another train was at the top of the lift hill. They both didn't move all night. -

Facebook was so 2010! The sooner people start realising what a crock of sh*t it is and give up facebook, the better. Real friends call and email each other.
