  1. There are more than a few people who wished that exchange would make sense at Disneyland.
  2. So, this wasn't the first report of apparent poor judgment or questionable behavior by ride operators. I'm for erring on the side of safety. From the information above, I would think the ride should be taken out of operation until the scope and cause of the problem was determined and it was resolved. Anyone report an issue you saw on a ride to guest relations or a manager?
  3. a few more photos I told you we should have turned left at Albuquerque! self-explanatory: the rest of the story self-explanatory "Others may think I'm mad, but I guarantee it - one day, we will have ERT on Angel's Flight!" It isn't my fault that Six Flags didn't buy the minoxidil patent. Whod'a thunk it? Free food attracts a crowd.
  4. some photos from WCB 2009 The Goose that Lays Golden Eggs was supposed to be a secret prize in the lottery, but she doubted Big Mike's intentions. [expletive deleted] Crouching Batman, Missing Robin fresh from the bag! There is no minimum age requirement for the gardening crew. molting season already? Ain't the boss mesmerizing?
  5. rode at least 3 coasters for the first time lack of fruit made that offering at Katy's Kettle the Breakfast of Coronaries: sugar, caffeine, fat, and cholestorol
  6. The forecast has been getting worse. The latest from weather.com: Rain showers along with windy conditions. Thunder possible. High 56F. Winds W at 25 to 35 mph. Chance of rain 60%.
  7. [desperately searching for an option to turn off display of photos in threads]
  8. the latest Santa Clarita forecast from weather.com: Sunday: Windy with showers at times. Highs in the mid 50s and lows in the upper 30s. (Yikes - there's a construction zone?!)
  9. It's not clear to me what rides will have ERT. It seems that two were added, according to a previous message. Is this list correct? X2, Tastu, Viper, Superman, Revolution, and Ninja
  10. I know it's too late to add umbrellas, Big Mike, but those might have been most wanted prizes if weather.com is right. The latest Sunday forecast for Santa Clarita: Windy with showers at times. Highs in the mid 50s and lows in the upper 30s.
  11. I've enjoyed watching the PBS specials, but personnel changes have definitely lowered the pulchritude punch of Celtic Woman, most especially the departure of Meav. Meav Ni Mhaolchath
  12. No outside food & beverages unless you purchase a $5.00 food permit. http://www.amusementparkdriveinonline.com/generalinfo.asp
  13. I had no idea - is it just one ride, or do others at SFMM have SR? And, I have to ask, just what are they trying to tell us with that Lysol ad?
  14. That was too close for comfort. I didn't know there was a Paypal fee added, but it turned out that I had about a dollar to spare in my checking account
  15. Back by unpopular demand ... This will come in handy if you ever need to locate Magic Mountai or urricane Harbor. Leave it to an ACEr to ruin my composition! I have no reason to doubt that this transaction was completely above board. This caption is second to none in its patriotism. For some strange reason, I'm thankful that this one is out of focus. Family Guy looked slightly better in person. gratuitious moon shot gratuitous coaster shot
  16. You gotta get up awfully early on the right side of the galaxy to scoop Gordon Shumway. IMHO, $15 parking is nothing to celebrate (unless you avoid paying). Seek Bugs, and ye shall find the truth (of where thou hath parked). I just wanted to remember what I didn't have to shell out. NO COMMENT Please keep your arms and legs on the train at all times. No, this didn't cost me $22. It appears that someone missed a cue. In a clandestine meeting, America's top strategists discuss Iran's nuclear program.
  17. You may take it as a boast or an indictment, but in a few hours, the esteemed members of this board managed to bring both coasters to a grinding halt. Your humble correspondent was an eyewitness to the first incident, and a participant in the second one. Tatsu was the Little Train That Couldn't when it failed to make it all the way up its ascent. It and its riders were stuck for several minutes until the train was given an extra boost to send it on its way. Revolution's brakes worked just a little too well heading into the station, so that the train stopped prematurely. It continued on into the station shortly thereafter.
  18. courtesy of a certain theme park that has to give annual passes away ...
  19. Actually, as I wrote previously, I do that all the time on coasters, and it's never been an issue. However, in this case, the rule is clearly NO CAMERAS on the ride, and we need to respect that. How close are lockers to Tatsu? My concern is that there may be so many people storing items that there aren't enough lockers to go around. Appointing a designated TPR camera rack person seems like a good idea. From what I've read here, it doesn't appear that someone would have to sit the ride out entirely. The job could simply be handed off from one person to another as different groups board.
  20. "$11 for a large Coke and a slice" Is Kentucky Algonquin for "rip-off pizza joints"? Tell 'em to put in Little Caesars - $5 for a large pizza (with the corresponding quality, natch).
  21. You wouldn't have liked it if you were in the preceding tram the first time I visited. My tram had to bypass the Red Sea, and could only wonder how that other tram got stuck in the middle of all that water.
