  1. Update. I'm working on one of the park's corners right now. I've gotten most of the center finished. Now, I'm going to concentrate on the park's four corners, and then fill in the gaps. So, here we go. Mega-litey goodness. This is Rampage, an Intamin nonlooping creation, known internally as a "Mega-Lite". It is the second-best roller coaster in the park following closely behind Updraft. This is Starcharge, a customized Fabbri Booster. Starcharge sends riders head-over-heels at heights of over 120 feet. Riders come very close to Rampage's queue line, as well as Starcharge's own queue line (obviously not finished yet). This ride is called the Sky Flyer. It's a Mondial Windseeker. It is the tallest ride in the park, and riders sit in swings as they spin around the tower at just under 300 feet in the air. An overview of the northwest corner.
  2. I don't know...I just re-downloaded the files again and got the same result - zero KB. Since those were old files that you uploaded to the exchange a few weeks ago, could they possibly exist somewhere else on your computer? It very well may be bad on my end, but I've never had the bad luck to not get a successful download on both the Windows and Mac halves. Proof of failure. I know I'm running OS X and can't open those files, but zero KB is zero KB, no matter what OS you're running...
  3. Was the turn really that intense? I've never ridden Intimidator 305, but it seemed like people were making too big a deal out of this whole schtick. I would have much rather had some days run the trimmed version and some days run the "OMG this is so intense but good that you will wet your pants" version. That way, the coaster would please everyone. Or was it train/track stress, like Maverick's heartline roll?
  4. Hey, it's a German-manufactured coaster in the German section of the park! -slaps knee- Hyuck hyuck!
  5. I was under the impression that Busch supervised the design of the ride's theming. THIS. Why would you want to be going fast around turns with such small amounts of roll anyway? If you'll pardon my analogy, it's like a Cheetah, sprinting really fast, then getting tired and taking a break, then starting to run again.
  6. This will definitely draw in crowds and keep them. After all, it is a full-blown roller coaster and not some gimmick (I'm looking at you, Sequoia Adventure).
  7. No, I didn't take any of those shots, I was busy trying to pick out the problem with the 0KB files. Back to making those banners then! I've noticed that lots of files are showing up as tracks as well. Perhaps you should get rid of the Track/Park/Scenery drop down and add it to the list above it - so that the list would read: RCT Park RCT Track RCT2 Park RCT2 Scenery RCT2 Track RCT3 Park RCT3 Scenery RCT3 Track NoLimits Track Scream Machines Track But, it could make the menu more confusing. Maybe selection bubbles instead of a list?
  8. Here's what I've found from downloading all the RCT2 files on the exchange without screenshots: The three saved games - ashbrook_waters_park_125, legend_city_resort_293, and yorkshire_dales_100 - all contained invalid data, and I could not open them. The latter two parks are also sized at 0KB, even though they are saved games. The three .zip files - stairway_to_the_clouds_183, xpress_146, and zippin_pippin_135, all are sized at 0KB and contain nothing in them. The four tracks - 630_Aeroplane_Dips, 631_Hurricane, 633_Turn_Of_The_Century, and whip_107 - all work correctly. I'm assuming the saved games and .zip files I downloaded were ones uploaded early in the beta process? They have number suffixes and the first three tracks have number prefixes.
  9. Tell you what I'll start doing - taking those screenshots you mentioned earlier. It'll be slow because I need to delete them and the parks I download because my partition is small, but I'll start on it.
  10. Lucky for you, this guy's got a Windows partition (How else would I make neat RCT stuff? ) I downloaded the patched Track Packager. I was able to download, ride, re-upload, re-download, and re-ride the file successfully. Internet Explorer 8, Windows 7 Professional. I did get a missing DLL file error the first time I tried to open it in the packager, I don't know if that was AJClarke's error to begin with, or it could have been the packager's fault, I don't know. All I know is that it happened. I downloaded the missing DLL and everything was working fine. EDIT: Proof of success. Resized, but success no less.
  11. I downloaded it, opened it, rode it, uploaded it, downloaded the new one, and rode the new one. I'm not having any problems. Safari 5.0, Mac OS X 10.6.5.
  12. It shows that they haven't lost their touch where it really counts, even though their ride names leave little to be desired.
  13. If it's any consolation, I am able to download and open your file using IE8, as well as Safari. Have you tried right-click then "Save Target As..."? That usually works for me if I get a download error. Maybe that's an easier way to pinpoint the problem?
  14. Which is probably why they haven't started testing yet. -snicker-
  15. In my misguided opinion, the biggest selling point of B&M's rides are their capacities. Up until a few years ago, they were the only company (if not the only company, then one of a very small few) that produced trains with four-across seating. They can seat 36 people in their trains in the length of a 28-passenger Intamin or Vekoma train. The biggest reason I like B&M coasters is how open their trains are. Just look at Wildfire at Silver Dollar City! Those aren't trains, they're seats with floors! It's flipping awesome!
  16. But it's fun... Anyhoo, I was uploading a track, and I noticed the list of allowed file extensions. I haven't dug my disc out lately, but are you allowing .SV4 and .TD4 extensions? There are people out there that still play good ole RCTLL. EDIT: .SV7 too, for those playing RCT2 Modified.
  17. Here are two banners. if you think these look good, I'll make three more that are similar (RCT2 8-bit style, because most of the other games' cars and such wouldn't fit in a 150x75) but different (different scenes, such as a winter scene for the holidays). The full 880x90 banner had to be linked to externally because it was too big for an attachment. I matched it lengthwise to the front page's links bar (forum, park index, etc) and height-wise from the top of that bar to the top of the screen. Hope you like. The 150x75 thumbnail. It doesn't have borders because the spots that the thumbnails are placed in on the front page are the borders.
  18. A quick improvement job... Smoothed out the letters - now with a super-cool BETA stamp as a bonus!
  19. So get rid of the little text on the bottom then? Sure thing. Anything else specific?
  20. Looking fantastic. Utterly fantastic, for a park with no specific theme (such as Hershey, Dorney, etc). Keep it up. You might want to build some stuff to occupy all that empty space currently filled by trees.
  21. Coasters = great. Buildings and scenery? Not so much. You need to take the time and add detail to your buildings and scenery. It will make your park look better and make you feel better about your work.
  22. I made a thumbnail - what would be standard size? 800x100? I also still have the original PSD, in case I need to edit something.
  23. Got it. Two words - finals week.
