DenDen Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 I just downloaded the new Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2. (You can get it all over microsoft's website...) Some things to note for those interested... -Fonts are displayed differently, almost in a Linux type fashion. -Tabs are cool! But again, stolen from the Linux community. -Hard core IE users will finally get used to the features that Linux and FireFox users having been using for ages now. -Probably the only unique thing about it is the "phishing filter", which detects phishing sites. If it works, it's a good feature. Just thought I'd share that it's now available, and seems pretty stable. Second Betas usually are. Dennis "is still undecided whether to switch back".
CoasterFanatic Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 I put it on my laptop a month or so ago. I dig the new features, but like Dennis said they are nothing new to Mozilla and Opera users. I also like the multiple home page feature. With it i can load all the pages that I regularly visit and tab them within seconds of opening the browser. Best Improvement = Anti-Aliased fonts. Too bad Mac has done this since the first version of OSX.
Token Yankee Guy Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 I downloaded it. But never really used it. I didn't like how they didn't have the pull down menu bar at the top (the File, Edit, View...etc). Another thing is the bars at the top are too big. I prefer using Firefox since it's a smaller panal so I can see more of the websites.
CoasterCrazy Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 I have it on my computer but I still use Fire Fox!
